Had me in and out in 10 minutes and all they said at the end was "good", and didnt even bother to show me the mirror like barbers usually do. Probably because they didnt want me to see the work they did

Negative experience: Was in here yesterday getting a fresh fade for a bachelor trip this Sunday and I had never had a bad haircut before until I went in yesterday and the guy didn’t even speak as to what I wanted . I asked for a short fade and he cut my hair into a mullet at the back took scissors to the top for about a minute didn’t cut my front bangs and took off the sides of my hair . I had to go somewhere else after and pay another $40 to fix my hair as best as they could but there Wasent a lot they could do . I don’t know if the guy was new but I don’t think I will ever go back

Negative experience: The original guys in there were great.... I took my son there for every cut. But now I will find another barber.... I literally showed the guy what my son wanted on a photo they have on the wall as an example. When he said he was done and asked me if it was ok, not only was it not even close, but I had to give him instructions to clean up the front. Just another example of customer service failing in Canada now. Won't go back

Negative experience: Absolutely butchered my hair ive been growing out for years... Will never go back do not recommend!!! The guy cutting my hair didn't know what a fade was or an undercut... I HAD TO EXPLAIN BOTH IN DETAIL HE CALLED IT A MULLET!!! he almost gave me a mullet...and after showing him I only wanted the ends of my hair cut an inch maybe an inch and a half and wanted to keep the length he cut 8 inches off..... been growing my hair out for years now I need to restart it grows really slow

Negative experience: Went in for the first time tonight based upon online reviews. I am not terribly impressed with the cut but it will do until it grows out. Very rough and border line painful work with the electric shaver, I couldn’t wait to be done as it was not a good experience, language barrier did not help either… at the start, I was asked if I want #3 or 4 to start with, I said 3 but found out after about 10 mins he had used #4, so he had to repeat the hard pressing to do another pass to cut to #3. Secondly, they do not accept debit or credit cards as advertised. It is cash only and if you do not have cash, they direct you to a no name ATM in their shop that says no fees… my bank charged me $2.50. I do not think these guys are on the level. I won’t be back.

Went in for a beard shape and tidy as it was getting unruly before a party today. let the guy know this told him I didn’t want any length off just a tidy and shape a bit the guy then proceeds to cut half my beard off before I could stop him. 0/10 would not recommend will never go back.

Negative experience: Unfortunately, they don't appear to be cleaning their hair cutting tools. There are no visible cleaners like 'barbicide' at their hair cutting stations, like other barber shops / salons have. I have been in there on a busy day, and they will take customers back to back without sweeping the hair off the floor by their stations, or cleaning scissors / combs. This is concerning, because lice and dandruff can transfer between customers through the use of unclean hair cutting tools. The whole shop looks like it needs a deep clean!

Positive experience: They did a price change from 24 to 33... But it doesn't say that anywhere. And so you get the haircut and then find out. Haircuts are good though

Negative experience: Please make sure you bring cash, they don’t accept apple pay or Interac.

Fantastic experience: Very welcoming, professional and customer focused barber shop. I have been a customer of Langford Barber shop for a few years and I strongly recommend their services. Zaki has cut my hair recently and he is a very skilled barber. In addition to his skills of the trade he is a great person with exceptional customer service skills, this is true of all the barbers in the shop. If you are looking for a good barber I highly recommend Zaki and his coworkers at Langford Barbers.

Negative experience: Been here a few times now and haircut is really hit or miss depending on who you get. The nice thing is there has never been much of a wait. The bad? Last time I was there, just before I got into the chair the barber sneezed into his hands and then didn’t bother to wash them. Even worse was the fact his Body Odour smelled so bad and strong, mixed in with some cheap cologne to try and cover it up that I spent the entire time trying not to gag while he was cutting my hair. I literally had to take a step back as soon as he was done to recover, and my sense of smell isn’t even that good. Unfortunately, it wasn’t worth it as the haircut wasn’t that good. I don’t think I’ll be going back after today.

Negative experience: Had a great experience here a few months ago, but not so much this time with a different barber. The barber dug into my scalp twice with his clippers, and then was needlessly aggressive with the combing later. My scalp is still pretty sore 7 hours later. I'm a big strong boy but I was beginning to fear for my life in that chair! The barber also had no idea what I was saying and I couldn't understand him either. Definitely won't be returning.

Negative experience: I always try to give a business at least three chances before leaving a bad review—this shop got six. My Experience: I was referred here as a newcomer and had a great first haircut from the owner himself. Unfortunately, that was the only good experience. My second cut was from another barber working alone on a holiday. He was in a weird mood, and while the cut wasn’t exactly what I wanted, it was passable. Then things went downhill. The barber at the second station on the left cut my hair three times, never quite understanding what I asked for. English isn’t their first language, so communication was difficult. He was often on his phone—even after repeatedly apologizing for it—and gave me completely different cuts than what I requested. The worst was my third cut with him—he kept me turned away from the mirror the entire time, so I couldn’t see what he was doing. The result was the most uneven, lopsided haircut I’ve ever had. He cut way too short, especially on my left side, when I had asked for medium length, forcing me to grow it out for over two months. For my sixth cut with a different barber, I requested a mid bald fade with a long top. He didn’t seem to understand and asked for a number instead, so I said a zero fade. He repeated back, “zero mid fade blended with the long top- easy peasy,” which I thought meant he understood. Instead, I ended up with a high fade. As for the top, he initially confirmed the right length but kept cutting shorter until the hair past my fringe was nearly bald. When I pointed out that I had asked for a long top, his response was, “It suits your face.” That’s not what I asked for. At that point, I felt defeated for giving this shop so many chances. The Good: ✅ Walk-in, open every day—including holidays. Convenient hours. ✅ Affordable compared to Ontario’s $35+ haircuts. ✅ No-fee ATM on-site (though I got charged a fee once). The Bad: ❌ Communication issues—they don’t speak English fluently, leading to misunderstandings. ❌ Inconsistent cuts—you never know who you’ll get or if they’ll understand your request. Showing a picture doesn’t help either. ❌ Questionable hygiene—I got bumps after cuts that only went away with medicated shampoo. I don’t see them sanitizing their equipment after every cut. ❌ Cash only—bring extra or be ready to withdraw. I won’t be returning.

Negative experience: The barber did not listen to what i wanted, I specifically told him where not to cut and then I said a trim and he ended up giving me a full on short cut. You get a different barber everytime so it's never consistent. Wont be going back.

Guy was rough, shoved my head every time he wanted me to move, and even though I showed him exactly what I wanted (pretty basic cut) he did a terrible job, my son also got a cut and it was terrible, I do not recommend and won’t be going back.
