Although my appointment was pushed back, the individual who greeted me ( I believe his name was Frankie) treated me with tons of care and respect. He provided me with a complimentary drink at the coffee shop there and even came in clutch with an iPhone charger. I really appreciate how he checked up on me as I was waiting for my appointment to start. JD cut my hair and she did absolutely phenomenal and we had a wonderful, refreshing conversation while she was cutting my hair. I can’t wait for my hair to grow back so that I can return next time, and the next, and the next. I’ve been looking for a regular barber shop for a while and I think I’ve found the one. Fantastic experience: I have had multiple haircuts with multiple different barbers and everytime I leave satisfied. The experience is relaxing and the barbers are great. I’d recommend it.

Positive experience: Clean shop. Convenient location. Never had a haircut, only beard trim. Showed multiple pictures and explained what style I wanted. Barber was uninterested and very flip. Finished trim was completely different than requested. Side fade was weak and specifically requested length left in front, yet barber trimmed over an inch off. Would only recommend for basic beard services.

Fantastic experience: My three year old daughter had to have her head shaved after she cut her own hair. I was heartbroken and found myself on a Friday night looking for a barber. I found Vinny at 7 pm (an hour before closing) and he was so kind. He understood (didn’t judge), and he shaved her head. When I asked him what I owed him, he said it was on the house. He was such a kind person and knew how upset I was. I really appreciated both his skill and his kindness. It was her first haircut and so she was totally unfamiliar with the process. He did a great job! I highly recommend this place and Vinny. Also, very great vibe too. He has these antique looking barber chairs, vintage pictures all around and he was playing James Brown. It was a great environment. Wish they did women’s hair too!

Fantastic experience: Vinny is the man. Also had a solid cut one time from Manny. But Vinny was my guy for years when we lived in Arizona. We moved out of state in somewhat of a rush, so I didn’t get the chance to properly thank Vinny but will make it a priority to visit the shop when I am in town. The fade and shape were on point, and the lines came out super clean. Mark took his time and really knew what he was doing. Chill vibe in the shop too — definitely my go to.

He listens to my oldest and talks to him about any and everything (mostly baseball and being a good kid in life). My youngest only lets him do his baby mullets and even gets a sucker afterwards. Negative experience: Had a misunderstanding in regards to the walk ins, I called around 9am said the next available time was around 4pm. Don’t know what they considered a walk in. Long story short. Make sure to schedule an appointment. Don’t call cause that’ll confuse things more. then they will text you continue the misunderstanding making you feel more uncomfortable and no longer want to go.

Fantastic experience: I recently booked an appointed with Ryan over at mission barbers. I got a low taper with texture on top and be nailed it. He was very welcoming and super chill and knew alot about what he was doing if your looking for a good barber in az for not to much Ryan is your man! I’ll definitely be coming back here soon to see him again!!!

Negative experience: When I showed up to my 1 hour and 15 minute appointment with Vinny he told me we did not have time for my whole appointment, mind you I made this appointment two weeks in advanced. Instead he did a VERY terrible quick beard trim, in 30 minutes, which left me very unsatisfied. He did not use shaving cream so I have razor burn on my neck, he cut me three times, he did not use any of the products that were listed in the description of the appointment and did not use any after care. All he cared about was my drink option and I am not there for drinks obviously. I told Vinny to not take any length off but he did. My beard is now three different lengths, very short and very uneven. Vinny described himself as a beard expert, but I did not receive expert services. I cannot account for the other barbers in this shop, but I DO NOT recommend Vinny.

Positive experience: It's okay it's really a boutique barber shop, so if you're into overpaying for a haircut this is your place. I took my buddy over there cuz he wanted to get a haircut, $80 later he walked out. This is for a haircut, keep in mind my friend is 74 years old and where's his hair short combed over the side. They also gave him a shave, but the insert they put in the straight edge razor, apparently was not sharp enough to do the job well, and the guy finished him off with an electric razor.

My boy Luke has always screamed and cried through haircuts at other places but Mark has a way of calming him and taking things slow that made his haircut completely scream free. He didn't cry at all. Negative experience: Showed photos of a longer haircut (references attached). My fiance's hair was super long. They cut way too much off and didn't work with my fiance's hairline. Right before a big event (wedding) too. Don't know how we are going to get this fixed. Would recommend going here if you want all of your hair cut off and someone who doesn't pay attention to photo references.

Fantastic experience: I was pleasantly surprised how the location is configured. Inside the Pallet Collective are a bunch of semi private rooms (2 chairs to a room). The feeling is much more personal with your barber/stylist and it's easier to communicate. Sebastian was great. He listened to what I wanted, confirmed it, and then executed it perfectly. You've earned a repeat customer. Thanks for the perfect cut and the relaxing atmosphere.
