Negative experience: I received the worst haircut I've ever had at the rural store. They wind up way too high on the sides. I called into the corporate office and they told me to go to the ray road store so they can try to fix it there. Natalie did a great job of fixing it and she even admitted that the previous stylist went way too high and messed my hair up. I told Natalie I would be going back so that she can continue to try to fix it but the next time I went back I was banned for some reason? So apparently if you get a bad haircut don't complain or you will be kicked out and told not to come back. The same thing also happened a few years ago at this Ray Road store with another stylist who is no longer there, it happens to be a coincidence a few years apart from two different locations that I've gotten two bad haircuts. I was told my hair is hard to cut

Fantastic experience: Natalie is the one of the best or should I see the best stylist I’ve ever had. She’s attentive and takes her job seriously. With this new headliner prices, I really hope it all goes to her and the rest of the headliners. If not, then why are the customers paying more ? If it’s not going to them and charging us more than I feel like, as a customer we are getting overpriced little by little.

Negative experience: Had an appointment. Showed up early and once 20 minutes had passed my appointment time and two people that had walked in after I did were sat before me I decided to ask if I was missed. Was told that they could not put me with another barber and I had to wait for the one I was paired with who was taking “twice as long as normal”. Spent 30 minutes sitting in the lobby just to go to sport clips and get sat down immediately.

Fantastic experience: Uncle Ray does a great job with my beard trim every time. Conversational but also charges through the task at hand without over talking. I went through a lot of different barbers before finding Ray and he's got repeat business from me as long as he's there. Always love the environment of Floyds, staff are friendly and upbeat. I showed up early to my last appointment and was taken right away. Also, I've made appointments days in advance and also same day, and done walk-in Floyds is flexible and drama free.

Fantastic experience: This was my second time coming here and both experiences were fantastic. Davina cut my hair this time which was basically a skin fade undercut. I’ve been to places where I’m in the chair for about 5 mins and the result is pretty “meh” but she put so much attention to detail into everything that I can confidently say it was one of the best cuts I’ve ever had. I’m not in town often but I’ll be sure to come back when I am. I walked in looking like a scumbag and out looking like a star.

Negative experience: I have been coming here on and off for years and just had the worst experience of any hair/beard cut. The lady cutting my hair did not listen to me a single time during my hair cut. I kept telling her what I wanted and she kept saying I should do it another way and then would proceed to do her way and not tell me. I asked for a 2-3 fade and she gave me a 1-2 (cause im a ginger and when I get a 1 it looks like im bald). She didn't blend any of the sides or blend the top down so it looks choppy as can be. I asked her to fix it multiple times and she just kept saying it's cause my hair was wet and it will look different afterwards. I have lots of hair and always need it to be thinned out and blended. My beard was the worst...the whole hair cut shed rather be talking to the guy next to me than myself. I asked for a rounded beard trim and showed my previous pictures....she starts chopping away with an electric razor and I had to stop her. I asked for a rounded beard and she ended up going square...when I asked what she was doing she said she totally forgot I wanted it round and had to go back in to fix it...now my beard is way shorter than it should be. I am so mad and disappointed with my experience I dont think I'll be going back and will be looking for a new barber going forward....all this for 70 dollars and they wouldn't do anything to help compensate for all the issues I had.

Negative experience: Not recommended! I guess, do your research on who does the cut. First time going there, was for my son...last time going there. 14 year old walked out looking like a golden girl or 80's telenova actor. The senior citizens mother of the lady who cut his hair would have loved it....on herself

Fantastic experience: Clean establishment and friendly staff. Uncle Ray has been cutting my son’s hair since he was a one year old and we’ve always had a great experience. Definitely go see him if you need a cut!

Positive experience: I came to this location for the first time recently and I got a great haircut. However this location like many today isn't what floyds was 10 years ago. I come to floyds bc they give the best cuts but they don't have the best price. I used to only come to floyds back when it was more personable with the back massage at the end and personal recommendations for products. I don't really get that anymore, sometimes you might get the back massager at the end but it usually only lasts a good 10 seconds. I still love floyds but the days of it being my only barbershop are long gone.

Negative experience: My son has been coming here for years for a cut and eye brow wax. Yesterday during his appointment the stylist simply took an electric trimmer and shaved between his eyebrows. No eyebrow wax, no thredding...and I was charged $15? Not sure what happened to their great shave and wax service but extremely disappointed. Don't advertise "waxing service" if it's simply a shave I can do that at home for free.

It is definitely on the pricier side compared to some other barber shops in the area, but the quality of the cut and the attention to detail make it worth it. The stylists take the time to listen to what you want, and they make sure you leave happy with your look. The atmosphere is modern and upbeat, with music and a fun vibe that makes visitors feel more like a personal experience than just a quick stop for a haircut. They actually take the time to give you a quality cut verse moving on to the next person asap. The staff is friendly and professional. From check-in to the end of the appointment, everything feels well-organized and welcoming. They tend to be a little punk-rock but I take my kids here and feel it is more part of the experience. They offer more than just haircuts, with services like shampoo and conditioning, etc making it easy to take care of everything in one visit. One important tip is to call ahead or I hear that you can also book online. They can get booked up quickly, especially during peak times or weekends. I have learned not to stop on by without calling first. Planning saves you the wait and ensures you can actually get a haircut. Overall, this is not the cheapest place for a haircut, but if you value excellent service, a professional cut, and a comfortable experience, Floyd’s 99 Barbershop is a good choice. I always leave feeling that it was money well spent.

Fantastic experience: Awesome hair cut! I find it difficult to get exactly what I ask for. I typically end up with too much or too little getting cut, but not in this case. The hair cut was exactly what I asked for. I won't be going anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I came to this location because the person who has been cutting my hair for over 2 years (shout out to the awesome Sabby!) came here from where I always went before. Prices are a bit higher than the previous place she worked, but the increased services and overall atmosphere of the place make up for it! As long as she's there, I'll keep coming back!

Negative experience: So I really wanted to get a buzz. I go to Floyd’s 99 cause I think they are Sigma for a cut like that. When I got there, I was greeted by two with purple hair. When I left I realized I’d been chopped. I also got charged high roller prices. It was a bad deal all around.

Negative experience: 1st time here. No erhnicity here. Which is fine. Cool lets try it out. Nope. Find another spot. Went in for an appt. Got the appt for the next day. The next day they call and say come 2hrs later. We drive all the way there and now they want us to wait 1hr to get a lining. No thanks. We need a professional, consistent barber. Fantastic experience: I appreciate being able to schedule my appointment online and select the services at the time of booking. Since becomng a regular customer, I have become a fan of the "Refresh" leave-in conditioner for my hair and beard (also use it like a lotion). Saving the best for last -- Natalie, my stylist. She is very good at what she does and I appreciate her attention to detail. She is also very personable and makes the time go by quickly. Fantastic experience: Sandra was amazing! Perfect cut, was able to close my eyes and quasi rest while she cut my hair. After my neck shave, she used the hot towel & massaged my neck, shoulders and head. Will return to Sandra at Chandler’ Floyd’s 99, every few weeks.

Negative experience: I scheduled a haircut a few days ago for 9am today with natalie. Floyd’s called me 15 min before my appointment telling me they were moving my appointment to 9:30 because she was running late. No apology or anything. I get there and she’s still not there and the front desk person said she’s still not here and he just walked away. I waited till 9:40 and just left since I didn’t know when she was getting here. Not going to spend all morning waiting. Had poor customer service from the front desk. He seemed like he didn’t care about the customer at all.

Negative experience: Showed up for a walk in appointment. The guy behind the desk took my name a number and told me they would get in touch when I was ready. I walked out to my car to wait and they completely wrote me off. They took another client without even trying to contact me. Absolutely aweful.

Negative experience: I went in and asked for a small trim around 1 or 1 and a half inches and ended up losing over 3 in certain areas. All this and i didn't even get the " Floyds Promise" they have put up everywhere with the towel and neck massage etc. I ended up paying 35 bucks and 3 in tip for something i didn't even ask for and the "promise" i never got.

Negative experience: Came in the shop and was greeted and told I would be seen in 10-15 min. 4 different people walked in and were seen before me and I waited 30 minutes and wasn’t spoke to except being starred at. Fantastic experience: I don’t usually make reviews but I felt this called for one. I moved to Arizona recently and did not know of any stylists or barbers. I have known Floyd’s from living in Los Angeles so it has always been a solid place to get a cut and always has friendly helpful ppl who work there. From the front desk to the stylists. I had recently got a haircut from a previous salon that I was not too happy with. It was cut pretty choppy and was not done well. have gone to Floyd’s on a few occasions now and always have a great experience. With what my hair looked like, I felt I needed to give a 5 start review to Peyton S for doing such a great job salvaging what I had done. Peyton was extremely friendly and personable. She did a great job with my cut and I think I actually like it more now after she fixed it than what I was hoping for when I originally got it cut. Overall,, if you want a great cut, from a really nice person, go see Peyton S in Chandler. Thanks.

She truly cared about how my hair looked, had amazing attention to detail, and made sure that no corners were cut to look my best. Fantastic experience: I bring my son (9yo) into Lilah all the time! She knows her craft very well and she’s always super helpful and joyful. My son is pretty timid so finding a good barber has always been tough, especially with his type of hair. The staff here has always been nice and professional. I also had my daughters hair colored and styled here. It turned out great, We have been coming here for four years and haven’t had any issues.

Fantastic experience: I went to Floyd’s 99 for a haircut and took the first available spot. I was fortunate enough to get matched up with Uncle Ray. Hands down, best barber I’ve been to. Fantastic experience: Trinity was fantastic. I was nervous due to some poor experiences at other barbershops. She took the time to let me know exactly what was going on, and how she was going to make sure I looked my best. She was super friendly and did a fantastic job. After having to wait over 20 minutes when I made an appointment TWICE, I vowed not to return and I haven’t. I had gotten my hair done here for a few years. Floyds is turning into great clips. Negative experience: They definitely don't know how to cut hair. My grandchild has been your customer for 2 years. Because you're close to home. He tried 6 different employees of yours. They always make mistakes. They're just doing what they know. But today was the scariest one. My grandson had a graduation party and you ruined it. I don't know who gave them this certificate, but cutting hair with a zero number without asking is terrible. You can't play games with people's hair. You are the worst place I have ever seen!

Negative experience: Need a more attentive staff to many conversations going when I sat there for 25 minutes after checking in 30 minutes before hand. Walked out pretty annoyed wanted a haircut before work never had a problem at great clips or any other CHEAPER barber/ salon I will not be back.

Negative experience: Danielle ruined my beard , don’t try her at all. She went lower on my beard without me asking her to , all I asked was for a beard line up , not my beard reduced. recently visited this barber for a haircut and beard lineup, and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. The barber seemed to be hungover and was not focused during the service. As a result, she ended up ruining my beard with uneven trimming and inconsistent lines. hope that the barber takes steps to enhance her skills and provide better service to her customers in the future. Will not be going with to this location!

Walk in, get checked in or inquire about walk in wait time, check out products and someone will appear to help you pick what’s best for you, and coach you with information that truly pays off! Then the cut is always perfect to your image and intention, such an enjoyable cut I almost fall asleep every time! There is always someone ready to help you and if there is a free minute for any of the staff, it’s dedicated to you. Great team and system here. Erasmo is the king! I always go with him but everyone there is good at what they do and their specialties. Very comfortable environment and you feel relaxed and can separate from the daily madness and just enjoy. Positive experience: I had Lilah for my first ever visit and she was awesome. Gave me a perfect mohawk and I couldn't be happier. Plus the first-time-customer wash being free was really nice. Already made another appointment for a color treatment edit: had to take away a couple stars bc communication around the color treatment was not good. they waited until I showed up to the appointment to ask me what I wanted just to tell me they couldn't do any vivid colors. that should have been discussed as soon as I made the appointment. can't complain about the cut itself though.

Negative experience: Place was clean, staff was nice. Easy to book online. But you are better off just going to Great Clips for this quality of cut at a lower price. I moved to chandler a year ago and have been looking for a stylist. I normally stay away from chain places like this because i had bad experience at places like Great clips. Thought i would give it a chance. Asked for a 2 block haircut received something super generic and too short all around. i noticed my side burns were also super uneven when i got home. Their pricing tiers are confusing and the stylists stated they all just wish people would just book mid length cuts since the Floyds cut is not something most people end up getting. Sounds to me they need to clean up the pricing tiers. I over paid for a mid length and ended up receiving a "Floyds cut". My hair stands up on its own now which it never used to do with my previous stylist. I could have gone to Great Clips or Super Cuts or some other chain place and gotten the same thing for less. I wont go back, and have finally learned my lesson about chain salons. Maybe i just got a bad stylist but at this point I'm not looking to go back and risk it. If you are looking for anything other than a generic trim or cut you might be better off doing more research.

Negative experience: Not going here again. I’ve had my hair cut here 10-15 times over the last few years. Initially it was a very good experience and I made them my go-to place to clean me up. I have to wear a suit to work and this place used to be an easy place to come for a solid haircut that left me looking presentable. On my last visit I made an appointment online. Right before the appointment I got a call saying that they needed to postpone my appointment 40 minutes. It was inconvenient but honestly not that big of a deal. When I sat down in the chair, she approached my haircut with the attitude of wanting to set a world record for hair cut speed. While getting my hair cut, I asked if she could touch up my beard. Keep in mind, I don’t have much of a beard. I need about 2 minutes of work on it. Really just lining up my jaw line, which I am not good at doing myself. Considering that my haircut took literally 12 minutes, I didn’t think it would be an issue. And in my entire adult life I’ve never had an issue with this request. She said that was absolutely not an option, because I didn’t specifically book a beard trim online. But I could always come back for a beard trim! I work a zillion hours a week, I’m not going back for what should have taken 2 minutes and been an easy up-charge for her and the store. Obviously, this is not her fault. As happens to so many good companies, a dolt of a manager usually comes in and implements ludicrous, counterintuitive policies that cost them business. I’ve written about 3 reviews in my entire life. This isn’t anywhere near the top of important business transactions in my life. It’s a hair cut; if it isn’t horrible, I’m generally ambivalent at best. But this pissed me off enough that I’ll never be back. She told me that she had 5 people waiting. They must have booked online, because they weren’t in the store. And if so, they are understaffed and overbooked. It takes an awful lot for something as simple as a haircut to bother me, so take that into account when I say that I will never get another haircut at Floyd’s.

Fantastic experience: I love Hanna L! I used to see her at the other Chandler location but found out she is only working at this location now and I purposely came to her because no one else has ever cut my hair so perfectly before. I will continue to come to Floyd's for as long as Hanna works there! I've already referred SO many people to her! She's great!! I love the vibe and the music they play in the shop. Extremely affordable in my opinion!

Negative experience: As much as I loved Floyd’s 99 since 2009 give or take a year. I will have to part ways as I don’t like the current business practices in place… it seems like a low end business model from Great Clips or such. Just because it works at a lower end haircut place that doesn’t justify that it will work at Floyd’s 99 Barbershop. Haircuts take longer than 20 mins and we the customer have different hair needs hence we come here to get a haircut. Also, I loathe the fact that every time I call the actual store, my call gets routed to a call center in the sticks of Georgia. And, as I emphatically request to get transferred to the store the customer service agent in Georgia tells me that the store is busy and they can’t come to the phone right now. As if that wasn’t enough, while in store, I called again. This time the shop was empty and the receptionist at the ready waiting for calls… I called the call center and I got the same response. It seems to me that the call center is taking priority over the calls and not allowing them to route into the shop. The call center won’t help with gaging the length of time for my appointment, making sure I get booked at the right Floyd’s and not the one on the other side of town, and question regarding specific hair treatment needs. Negative experience: Edit: on 3/11 So the first visit I had here was good, and the subsequent two visits have been not good. The visit today was terrible. It was like going to great clips but paying twice as much. Don't hire people unless they're actually barbers, not hair stylists. Also the girl I had used a straight razor dry on the back of my neck. no warm/hot lather and now the back of by neck burns. Great experience, my stylist took her time and I got the haircut I wanted. It's worth the price.

Fantastic experience: This place is THE best of the best. Helen used to cut my hair years ago when I lived in Arizona but I’ve since moved away. I was visiting this weekend and needed a haircut so I stopped in. They got me in immediately with no appointment. Erasmo was my stylist and I simply cannot stress enough what a great one he is. I got one of, if not, the best haircut from him. He told me he’s being doing this for over 20 years and I believe him, his attention to detail is impeccable. Highly, highly recommended!

Negative experience: DO NOT GET YOUR HAIRCUT HERE!!!!!!!! Tried to get a haircut 3 times this week. Book for Tuesday - they called an canceled an hour before. Booked for Thursday- they called and canceled an hour before. Booked for today - no one called - I showed up for my appointment and they told me that no one was able to see me and I should've received a call cancelling my appointment. Staff was unapologetic. If you value your time, do not go here! Suuuuper frustrating.....

Negative experience: I walked in at 1015 taking a chance because I did not have a appointment. There was no one there. They told me no but I could wait and if there 1030 didn’t show up I could get a haircut.about 12 /13 minutes later a pj or Cj Decided to take me. Rushed the haircut took about 7 minutes, said she didn’t have a stray razor but it didn’t matter. Terrible rushed haircut, upsell attempts and then told me it was 29$ . Gave Jen $40 and gave me a dollar back . Gave the haircut person a 5$ tip and left very disappointed.Senior citizens don’t go here IMHO

Fantastic experience: I walked in at about 6 o'clock on a Friday after work, had to wait maybe 10-15 minutes for a stylist to seat me and get started. Pleasant conversation with the lady (whom I didn't catch a name) while she got to work. After about 30 minutes of meticulous attention to detail, I walked out with one of the best haircut/beard trims of my life! Everyone there seemed friendly, and it seemed to be pretty timely considering how busy they usually look. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a Hollywood haircut, hopefully there's a Floyd's close to where I live

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Fought holiday traffic to get to barbershop. Arrived at 3:36 for a 3:30 appointment. Sat for 5 minutes waiting for the young man behind the counter to finish with the staff and client that he had in front of them. I then approached the counter to be told that I arrived to late for my haircut. He said that 3:41 was too late. I am all about punctuality, I am at a fault, I was late 6 minutes. I asked if another person had taken my place and he said no. Disappointed in the customer service for sure. To be turned away for being 6 minutes late...Seems a little excessive.

Fantastic experience: I'm glad I found this spot! Myles was quick, efficient, friendly, and did a great job taming an overdue and overgrown cut. I had high expectations coming from a long-time barber haunt in North Seattle that I frequented, and this place fits the bill. It's a chain/franchise, sure... but an independent one that definitely does NOT give you SuperCuts vibes. Quality is key here and the little touches really add up in a business like this. As an aside, they do take walk-ins I hear, but I'd suggest doing an online appointment. It makes everyone's life easier.
