The barbers are true professionals—they listen to what you want, give expert advice if you’re unsure, and execute it perfectly. I get a skin fade with a beard trim, and it’s always crisp, clean, and exactly on point. The hot towel treatment and attention to detail (neck shave, line-up, etc.) make it feel like a real step above a standard cut. Prices are more than fair for the quality—none of that overpriced “luxury” nonsense, just great value. Fantastic experience: I just had to share how awesome Miriam is! She not only gives me and my boys fantastic haircuts every time, but she does it with such precision and skill. It's not easy finding someone who can handle cutting both adult and kids' hair so well, but she nails it every time. My kids do have a tendency to get squirmy but she knows how to handle them so well and is a consummate professional. I've gotten to the point that when I show up, I just ask her to do what she thinks is best. She has talked me off the ledge a few times. Pro tip: she gives great skin care recommendation too. Huge shoutout to Miriam for always making us look great!

Negative experience: I hope this gets taken care of soon. I got my haircut by Raven on Friday this week. I don’t usually do this but I really can’t let this go. I had a strong feeling he was under the influence. The hair cut was not even (fade line was not blended) and he didn’t seem like he really heard me when I was explaining the cut I wanted. I’ve been here a few times before but this was enough to turn off of here. So guys! Everyone else I’ve gone to has been great though. That’s why I gave the extra star

The entire duration of that decade I'd been using the same hair stylist (fyi Shannon @ Scarlet Salon in LoHi is a bad ass men's hair stylist). I started digging around Yelp in search of my next go-to hair spot. In terms of good reviews, EMG stands out from the pack for good reason. High positive energy inside of these EMG barber shops. That results in these guys churning and burning some great haircuts. There are numeros EMG locations in the valley, all with outstanding barbers. I mentioned Shannon back in Denver being a bad ass men's hair stylist... Tony is just as bad ass. Love his haircuts. I hate to say that I like his haircuts more... feels blasphemous... but I might like them verrrrry slightly more. Top notch. Great find. Thanks Yelp

Then we came across Executive Men's Grooming Gilbert and Tony’s profile, which mentioned experience with long hair—he did not disappoint! Tony took his time to ensure my son was happy with the new style, explaining how my son's reference photo would work with his thicker hair. Tony's attention to detail was exceptional. Tony's staff has amazing synergy with each other and their clients, even right when they open at 6am. I've watched client after client walk away with smiles and a fist bump and a genuine show of gratitude. This place is easily one of the best personal investments you can make for yourself or a loved one, male or female, young or older. They do great work and make you feel great. This will be my go-to place till I die. Maybe even after that if I need a touch-up prior to an open casket.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to EMG for a couple of years now and I haven't found a place better, even when I moved away from the area I made sure that I only came to them for my haircuts. I always use DJ and have been for a while now but in a pinch any of the other barbers will do the job just as good. I recommend this barbershop to all of my friends and I want to highlight their skills and culture they built here. I also bring my two boys and they ask me every week if its time to get a hair cut because they want to go so often. I love that its by appointment because that lets me plan my days better and I can be in and out quickly, but I know they welcome walk ins at times. Negative experience: Been coming here for a while now. Overall has been a good experience but last time was disappointing. Hate to call it out but Xander gave me a really poor cut. The lengths of my hair were off all around. I asked for him to layer it and cut it shorter towards the back but I guess he wasn’t paying attention. You can tell when barbers take that extra time to make sure things are right but he just rushed through it. Maybe he just had an off day but really disappointing given what my expectations have been for this place.

Fantastic experience: Two cuts for the day. Adult male: came in after a hack job at another barber shop. Was ready to loose all the hair and get a buzz cut. The barber not only cleaned up the bad haircut but was able to leave a decent amount of hair. Male kid: with all the wiggles still could get a good looking haircut for the summer! The place was kept clean. People were friendly and service oriented. This will be our place for boy cuts!

Always communicates during the process with me to make sure I get the haircut I want and gives honest advice regarding the nature of my hair and facial structure regarding my beard which is great to take into account. Fantastic experience: I've been going to the Gilbert location for years, even after I moved 25 minutes away. I typically see the same barber each time (DJ), but even when seeing others, I've always gotten a good cut. The prices have gone up over the years, but that's true of everything, and it's still a good value. I like that they shave your neck line with warm shaving cream, giving you a tight clean line. They offer you water or soda when you arrive and have good movies on multiple TVs to keep you entertained while waiting. They are usually on time or within 5 mins of your appointment time. The multiple couches have seen a lot of use, and you sink into them, so they are in need of replacement soon. You can book online, which is convenient. They appreciate payment in cash and give a discount for it, but they accept cards too.

Fantastic experience: This place is great and the only place I will be getting my haircuts. Staff is amazing fun conversations. They are quick and easy to deal with and great haircuts at a great price. A guy named tony ( I think) was there and I'm pretty sure he is the owner but walking in the front door was greeted with a handshake and a genuine appreciation for me being there. Can not say enough good things about this place. Also please open one in Flagstaff so I don't have to drive 2 hours to get a great cut.

If you don’t know what a Flowbee is, look it up. Fans of Wayne’s World may know the device as a Suck-Cut. It sucks while it cuts. After years of searching for a solid barbershop, I found it. Executive Men’s Grooming in Gilbert has the ambiance, the conversation, and extremely talented barbers. Every visit to the shop is an enjoyable experience. These barbers are really good and you can tell they enjoy what they are doing. Todd has been cutting my hair for a couple of years and I don’t know what I’ll do if he ever leaves. One time he was booked and I was desperate for a haircut. I found another barbershop who was able to get me in that day. Worst haircut of my life. If you are looking for a solid haircut experience, go see the crew at Executive Men’s Grooming.

Fantastic experience: This really is a 5-star barber shop. I normally go to Tony for my haircuts and he works his magic to give a great haircut, but all the barbers are very talented. Tony runs a great business and makes you truly feel like an executive. They are open early for a pre-work haircut and shave, and open later for a pre-date trim. Eventually the more experienced guy came in and cleaned me up (don't know their names) I'd love to try the pro.. he knew what he was doing and then maybe up the rating.

Negative experience: Went to the location yesterday for a haircut. Seem nice and convenient because it was close to my place. Told the gentleman how I wanted my hair done notice halfway through he wasn’t doing it the way that I asked try to make some comments. The barber was rude and inconsiderate. Continue to do what he wanted to do and not what I wanted. Went home and noticed that they were large amounts of straight hair, uneven side, complete terrible job all around call the manager and asked if I come in another time when he’s not there and have it fixed he had me come back at 7 AM only for me the same person there that treated me so bad and did a even worse hair cut. And all I got from him was an ugly look. When I spoke with the manager again, did not really seem to care about my experience and didn’t offer me a refund now I have to drop $40 somewhere else on top of what I spent the day before. You’re better off getting a haircut across the street at the great clips. You will get a better quality hair cut and better customer service.

Fantastic experience: I tried this place for the first time recently, and Toby was my barber. He's incredibly personable, and we had a great conversation throughout the appointment. His attention to detail is excellent, and when he was finished, both my haircut and beard trimming looked great. I plan to go back soon and ask for Toby.

Negative experience: I visit this place because of the 4.7 Stars review but honestly one of the worst haircuts I got in a long time. I don't know his name but he is the older barber with glasses, he was very aggressive throughout the process and left me with chunks of hair sticking out. A home made hair cut would have been better. Totally not worth the $30

My roommate first referred me to Xander who did an amazing job and then my second cut was with Toby who is a dope person and also gave me a great cut. Negative experience: My son was getting his first cut there - for his graduation. Dora was his barber . She didn’t wash his hair- she didn’t do what we asked - and when I told her that I did not like the cut, and I wanted her to make it shorter in the back and put a style to the top and front, she commented that that was the haircut- She did not bother to accommodate while we asked for, she also told my son and his hair was greasy - he just left the gym to make it there on time, and the website said the haircut included a wash. As we were paying she charged above tje listed price without even washing his hair- he has razor cuts on the back of his neck and another stylist, put my son in his chair to touch up mistakes, Dora made. Not happy at all with the stylist, but will return and give it another shot with a different barber. The business seems great, so we will try once more with a different barber in hopes for a better result.

Fantastic experience: Went in last week for the third time, and all I can say is amazing service, atmosphere, and overall great haircut every time. I've been fortunate enough to have the same barber Toby cut my hair each time, with great expertise and fun witty conversation that just seals the deal. He even found a way to deal with my cowlick and excessive widdow peak (aswell as great advice on personalized hairstyles). The way this establishment operates is by far the best I've seen in the valley.

Negative experience: Went for cut and a shave. Sideburns we’re straight cut off and not shaped then the shave I asked for was stopped halfway as the barber needed help die to her “shakey hands from being sick with Covid.” This person had Covid, wasn’t better and returned to work to screw up the haircut, need help with a shave and have the nerve to only mention it when she was 3/4 done. Then the barber who stepped in cut my chin and I now have a 1/2 inch gash on my chin. The shave isn’t even close. I still feel stubble and can visibly see hair on my face. Now I’ll be going home to finish the shave job they butchered and try to clean this bloody gash off my face. Unacceptable service and skills

Negative experience: I was looking for a new person to cut my hair and made my appointment here. As a person who gets their haircut every week I revolve my Saturdays around getting my haircut and just like everyone else, I have other things to do. I was 5+ minutes early and the person who my appointment was with was going to be at least 15 minutes late. Not a great first impression when I'm looking for a new place to spend my money on a weekly basis. I tip well and I like to stick with one person. I'm only giving 2 stars instead of the 1 because they at least made the effort to see if there was an opening on their busy Saturday, which there wasn't. So, still on the lookout for a solid place for a weekly haircut. If anyone has a semi high end place for a cut, sent the info my way.

Fantastic experience: Gotten my haircut and beard trim done here for a few years now and have left every time happy. The boys are good with kids as well. My son (6) is always leavin fresh. Always offering candy and juice/water. Chris is my boy but everybody there does good work!
