Negative experience: There’s an inexperienced barber here. Likely new. You can tell by how tentative he is in every step and I had to tell the barber that the cut on the sides are not symmetrical and the cut looked weird. You also have to ensure that he understood what you said. For instance, he didn’t understand that I want product on my hair and his co-barber had to tell him using his vernacular. Seems a good guy though and hope he gains more experience. I didn’t get his name but his chair is on the top left corner as you enter the shop.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at Zack’s shop. Zack and Marco are genuinely one of the most friendly owners I’ve come across, and his lively energy makes the whole place feel welcoming. Fantastic experience: I first met Hassan and the team when we moved to a new office in Pitt St - and these guys were downstairs. The queues at lunchtime said they were pretty popular, so I began going in earlier in the mornings. I enjoyed riffing with the team - fun people. Yeah yeah - what about the hair cut? Well, I'm blessed with stylish wife who gives very straight feedback when I get a cut anywhere - ranging from ‘never go there again’ to ‘shows promise’ After working with Hassan over a few cuts we got it dialled in to the double thumbs up at home. Important family event? Visit Hassan Big meeting with a client? Visit Hassan All the guys are good, but years in now he's my favourite. Highly recommend Sydney Barbers

If you’re not getting cut by this guy you’ve been doing it all wrong. Check him out you won’t be disappointed! Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Sydney Barbers for a little over six months now. I’ve had my hair cut by Anderson for the last 3-4 visits. The guys here show an extreme attention to detail, and I’ve always left satisfied. The only recommendation I could say is for a booking system, because at the moment it’s first come first serve.

Fantastic experience: Firas is a master! Walked in for a beard trim after reading the reviews and was not disappointed. Firas listened to what I wanted and went above and beyond to deliver one of the best beard trims I've ever had. Plus we had a great chat! Shop was clean, has an awesome vibe and all staff were super friendly.

Fantastic experience: I went today to get my first haircut at Sydney Barbers. I must say I’m incredibly impressed. Upon arrival I was kindly greeted and sat only for a short period of time before service. I had the pleasure to get my first cut here from Firas. He’s a charming bloke that gave me the best haircut I’ve ever had. I had no idea what I wanted upon being asked and just told him to make me look sexy. He pulled through with a low taper fade and some texturing to the top. The outcome was perfect and I left feeling very happy and confident with my new cut. Overall experience 10/10. Will be coming back asap.

Fantastic experience: Had a great experience at this barber. I was a walk-in who had come in on my lunch break. I met with Joey who was efficient, skilful and came with great conversation. Fantastic experience: I'm the sort of person that always looks up reviews if I'm going to a new barber for a skin fade because I'm really specific with a low fade with weight up top etc.... I've been in Aus for 8 years now and I have recently discovered Joey. Hands-down, the best skin fade I have had. He absolutely knows his stuff. Would recommend him to everyone. The boys in the shop are all so friendly and it is extremely well priced which is probably why so many people go there. Well done lads!

Negative experience: If I could give negative star I would. Just got charged $40 for kids haircut. The sides are completely uneven and do not match. The front fringe is not straight. This is a disgrace. Was that even a barber?

Negative experience: Just got given the worst haircut of my life. The barber that cut my hair must of not even been qualified to cut. He didn’t listen to what I said and just cut it at is own free will I may aswell shave it all of.

Fantastic experience: Have been coming to see Joey and Zac for close to 5yrs now at Sydney barbers. Haircuts are always on point, and have always been looked after. Would highly recommend for anyone in the cbd to come see these guys for a cut.

Negative experience: Its really the worst cut I’ve ever had. Paid $45 and not even spent 10 mins for the cut. Don’t know what the barber was rushing about. Even the side locks are not even and no finishing details. Ended up looking even worse rather than having a fresh look. I would rate the place in minus if I could.

Fantastic experience: Hands down one of the best barbers all of Sydney has to offer. I've visited them several times and every time without fail, I've gotten a barber who's proficient, respectful, charming or has excellent banter. Props to Joey, Temir and Hassan. Truly first-class man and masters at their craft. One time near the end of November when I went they were giving a homeless man a free haircut using their own customer tips. I've never seen any haircut place or barber do that before. That kind of benevolence and altruism on display-- guaranteed my lifetime patronage. Also someone has to make sure my barber Joey stays healthy.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend checking this place out; it's cheaper than the alternatives for this level of quality. Also, when you make an appointment you'll be given a list of barbers to choose from; I personally recommend going to Linda. I went to her for just a trim but I only wanted her to use scissors so I picked the "scissor cut" option, which was 45 dollars, but she asked me to pick a cheaper option next time so that she could fix the price and only charge like 35 dollars or so since I'd be paying too much for such a short and simple haircut otherwise.

Fantastic experience: I came to Sydney for my 18th birthday from Brisbane and decided to get a haircut while I was here. I requested a mid-taper skin fade and received the best haircut I've ever had. It was the first time I've ever been ecstatic with a haircut. They also used products to enhance the appearance of my hair after the haircut. The customer service was excellent, as the barber who cut my hair had a friendly attitude and delivered exactly what I wanted based on a reference photo. Unfortunately, I didn't learn his name, but he was a nice dude that was really down to earth. The manager was also very friendly when I encountered him outside earlier, as he provided us with directions to the barber shop since we were lost. I would become a regular customer at this barber if I lived in Sydney. Hope they respond tbh cause I wanna know that guys name who gave me the cut. He was a freak at tapers, better than HH Barbers on TikTok for sure.

Negative experience: Often walked past the shop and thought I must try it out. Wished I’d kept on walking as it’s probably the worst cut I’ve had in Sydney. Never been spun in the chair to save the guy walking around before. The young lad seemed ok but when I asked him to trim a bit more he seemed to take it personally. Definitely wouldn’t go back and at $46 for a short back and sides the decision is final.

Negative experience: Have just moved so thought I'd try a closer barber. Asked for a fade cut and specifically wanted my hair to be cut on the top with scissors. I prefer the texture when it's cut with scissors. Barber argued with me and said it makes no difference, told me he would be doing it the way he wants and proceeded to use the clippers. Eventually after he clippered the top, he asked me how much I wanted off the top with scissors. At this point the hair was too short to have any more taken off so this is how I replied. I was told to stop whinging. I really didn't appreciate being argued with. I get my hair cut every week because I like my hair kept really short and my regular barber has always used scissors on top without any issues. Fairly sure this was an extraordinary experience because the other barbers didn't look like they were arguing with their clients. Despite this, I'm definitely never going back to this joint. Not a good experience.

Fantastic experience: This has to be one of the best barber shops in Sydney! They do an amazing job with my hair and beard. I always ask for a skin fade and it always turns out so good. Also ask for a line up on the beard and always spot on with that too! They are pretty cheap for a barber shop in the city and always will be going back there!

Negative experience: Been here a few times and every time it’s good. Great staff. Except this time I saw a lady and she overcharged the customer in front and tried to do the same to me. Her attitude was a bit rude and she seemed inexperienced compared to others. Time to try a different barber

Fantastic experience: Always receive the sickest fades from any one of the crew I’ve had at Sydney Barbers!! Decided to get my hair coloured for the first time today and just received an awesome job from Zach and Hussy- really neat, professional job. They were very accommodating and as usual the atmosphere was brilliant.Easily the best in Sydney.

Negative experience: Used to get great haircuts from here but unfortunately the standards have dropped dramatically in the last year or so. Had a haircut from one of the ladies there today and she just hacked everything quickly despite her showing that she would only cut a little bit off on the top. The fade she did had to be fixed by one of the other barbers there but unfortunately he didn’t fix the top. She didn’t clean the clippers after the last customer before me either, still had old hair on it and was hit from being used. Previously didn’t have any issues here at all but it seems that all the newer barbers lack experience and work unsupervised.

Been going here for about a year, not only is it a place where I can chill out to some tunes, but also being able to speak about the stress of life any and other issues that I maybe going through. Negative experience: Got a new guy who totally botched my head, and was completely unconcerned about it. I pointed out to him how it was wrong, and not only did he dismiss my complaint with "it's only a couple of hairs," but he didn't even show me the back of my head with a mirror before finishing (when I got home I discovered why!) and left clumps of cut hair on my forehead that I had to brush off. Sydney Barbers is usually pretty dependable, but I think I just got a guy on his first day with no supervision.

Very poor communication over my request and it was very late when I just had lost few months grown hair. I SUGGEST DON'T TRUST THEIR RATE and if you still risk to go, make sure guy called AJ understands you well before he starts. Don't get distracted with 10 questions about your background instead of your hair style need.

Negative experience: I rarely leave bad reviews. But first time here, and it will be my last. Worst haircut I've had in a while... skin fade was choppy and uneven. The barber appeared self-taught, and not confident/experienced at all. Didn't know how to cut with scissors properly, and didn't even show me how the back looked with the mirror (I hope it's not because he butchered it too... will have to wait until I'm home to find out).

Fantastic experience: Getting a haircut is a really personal thing—you’re putting your personal style and presentation in someone else’s hands, for them to do with it what they want. Before I came here, I was used to sitting in silence during a haircut and eyeing off the girly mags stashed under the table. Sydney Barbers isn’t like that. They’ll absolutely respect you if you wanna stay quiet, but you’ll also have a phenomenal chat if you’re up for it. This cozy little corner of Sydney absolutely contains some of its best banter. The thing that really made it for me is after a few visits, they started to remember me and how I liked my hair. I've had a couple of good barbers, but these guys are by far the most consistent in terms of quality and efficiency. They are friendly with customers too and make an effort to engage and connect. Negative experience: Simply Amateurs, from the beginning I felt that the barber has no clew how to hold the sizers. He started without even spraying my hair, I never seen such thing. I don't know how they got so many good reviews, I guess all the good reviews are FAKE!!! I had to go to another barber (caveman barbers) to fix the damage they did to my hair, lucky for me Mario from "caveman barbers" is a true professional and he fixed most of the damages. You can look at my hair after I left Sydney Barbers, it's not even worth 5$, if I would want that haircut I would have done it by myself. You've been warned.

Negative experience: The barbers in this place know how to cut hair, but they have no idea about style, potential and service. Service is bad here, I was choked when I was there. They're simply good at getting the job done. In other words, bunch of Amateurs here. First time trying here and I won't come ever again. There are lots of other decent barbershops in Sydney that will treat you like a King, instead of here which treat you like a sheep. I used to have $50+ cut from other decent barbershops, then compare to this, it's such a huge downgrade. I guess it's true you get what you paid for. Cheap price for cheap service. This barbershop is TOO OVER-RATED on the web. I bet all the positive reviews here are just people who has never experienced a decent barbershop. So, if you're someone who's looking for a quality cut, style, quality service and a decent cut that will make you happy every morning you wake up looking at the mirror, I ADVISE YOU NOT TO COME HERE. All jokes aside this business is more than just a place that cuts hair. All things that are important these guys offer. Convenience - that I never have to wait more than a few minutes for a hair cut, even faster now with he second shop downstairs Value for Money - haircuts from as low as $20 Professionalism - yes business is about making money but who says you can’t have some fun, Zac and the team always provide a good laugh on top of a skilled cut and that’s an added bonus when you walk out of the store with a fresh cut and a smile on your face. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed. 5 stars

Fantastic experience: Zak and team are the best barbers I've had the pleasure big getting a haircut from. They remember every customer and treat you like family. I refuse to get a haircut from anyone or anywhere else. I'm so grateful i found these guys. Once you find a good tailor and a good barber for you, you never go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Whilst on holiday in Australia, I was in need of a haircut & after travelling half of the country by road, me & a friend stopped by in Sydney for NYE. I'm from the U.K. (Manchester) & I only go to Barbers that are clean & that can do good fades. I was a bit reluctant to go to just any Barber whilst abroad (as they could ruin my holiday pics) lol but after a quick 'Google search' & all the reviews pointed in the direction of 'Sydney Barbers' So here I am leaving a 5/5 review. Really happy with the haircut, fade on point & (even better then back home) very impressed. Zak & his team are not only fast & efficient but very welcoming & super friendly. Reasonably priced & I would recommend these guys to anyone. Thanks guys

Fantastic experience: In Sydney for a few days looking for a barber to rescue the fade before NYE, so gave these boys a try 'cause of the reviews. They were mad busy but had enough barbers on that I walked straight on. Ali dropped me a wicked trim out in record time, shame he supports Man U but don't let his bad taste put you off: he cuts hair like a champ.

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure to visit the Sydney Barbers right before the nNew Year celebration. I asked for haircut (cut by the owner Zack) and coloring with Yousef. These guys know their job. They were pleasant, fast and very reasonable.

Fantastic experience: I've had my hair cut at Sydney Barbers over the last 4 years. They do a terrific job every time, and are an awesome team. I always find them welcoming and willing to have a chat. Always go there before a vacation or holiday.

Fantastic experience: Went there for the first time based on google reviews. They did not disappoint. Very attentive and tailored my haircut to the way I like it. The haircut was really quick as well and I ended up with a great fade. The Lebanese are always good for a laugh -the Viet guy that came in at 545 on Thursday :)

All the boys are great but need to give a special shoutout to Joey who has cut my hair 3 times - different ways - with each time coming out perfect. Fantastic experience: Walked into the shop and not sure what to expect and as soon as i sat down i felt at home. The staff were friendly and inviting and the shop has that feel that you were ment to be there. I was cut by Ali who was very professional and a very good barber. As soon as one of his peers ask a question about sport on who was the better team the banter started flowing. The service was 10 out of 10, no waiting times and the experience i had will make me come back next week as a regular. Sydney Barbers you now have a new customer.
