1 month ago Negative experience: STAY AWAY ! They had no interest in servicing at all.. they shouldn’t be in this business. Worst service - waste of money .. Revision 2 I visited your establishment at approximately 9:30 AM on January 8th and would like to highlight several significant issues regarding my experience: 1. Lack of Readiness: The staff seemed very reluctant to provide service. The station was not ready when I arrived, and I had to wait about 10 minutes while they prepared the area. There was no apology or acknowledgement of the wait. 2. Unprofessional Communication: The staff spent the entire session chatting in another language. Furthermore, one employee was constantly micro-managing/directing the other, which felt unprofessional and distracting. (This is where I doubt the skill of the barber here) 3. Poor Service Quality: The service was performed with a complete lack of care or interest. I was extremely dissatisfied with the result; I felt I looked worse leaving the shop than when I arrived. 4. Dismissive Attitude: When I attempted to provide feedback regarding the cut, the staff was unwilling to listen. They were so dismissive that I felt the only option was to leave. 5. Overall Unprofessionalism: This was a highly unprofessional experience. I am surprised a business with this level of service can survive in the CBD.
Hi Sydney exployer, I would like to thank you for taking the time to provide these details. We understand that what you have described is something that would have very likely occured especially because english is the second language for some of the casul barbers we had over the festive season.
We have taken measures to better out team with a new barber on board. Please check out our new barbers instagram page (marani_house) and if you believe that you would be happy with his service we would like to offer you 2 free haircuts with him so we can turn this bad experience into an excellent one as our target is to gain you as a repeated customer and we are happy to listen to your advise.

1 month ago Fantastic experience: Just adding a review for the great customer service, hygiene management and excellent fade. I was worried because I've just moved to Sydney from Melbourne and I've had the same barber for over 10 years, but I do not regret choosing this barber shop. The barber listened to what I wanted and he did what I asked. He was efficient but precise and I couldn't be happier. I highly recommend this barber shop... ask for Moe. Great guy who knows what he is doing. Wish you all the success brother.

1 month ago Fantastic experience: Took my son in to have a freshen up and be ready for school tomorrow and I was very happy with the care provided by the barber. My son (7 years old) doesn't like getting cuts but the barber made sure he was comfortable with him before beginning. The young man assisting kept my son distracted during the cut so that he doesn't get upset and I must say this was the only time I have had my son's hair cut stress free. The team were amazing and clearly understand the importance of the customer needing to be comfortable in the chair. I will definitely be back again and highly recommend this team of barbers for anyone who has a child with a phobia of haircuts. The style was perfect that my young boy even said he will be back. Great shop, great service and very affordable compared to other places in Sydney CBD. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again.

1 month ago Positive experience: The experience was good overall. The guy who provided the service, Leo, was professional and struck the right balance in conversation—friendly but not too chatty, which is great since you don’t really want to talk much while getting a haircut. He handled everything very professionally. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is that I had originally scheduled a booking for 7:30 PM on Wednesday, but when I arrived they mentioned that only one staff member was working and asked me to reschedule. They did help me move the appointment to the next day, which I appreciated, but it would be great if the website reflected staff availability more accurately to avoid this situation. Overall, the service is good. It’s a bit pricey, but for a place in the city, I think it’s reasonable.

1 month ago Fantastic experience: Had my booking today on 5 March 2026 at 11:50 AM, and the team at Barber Industries QVB looked after me perfectly. They gave me water and coffee while I waited, and even wished me a happy and lucky date, which was a nice touch. Every time I book with a different barber here, I get a new experience that’s just as good, clean fades, friendly service, smooth booking, great music, and a solid atmosphere. Easily the most consistent barbershop in the CBD.

While I didn’t get a haircut myself, I got to see the amazing service up close, and it was truly top-notch. The team is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, they made both of us feel at ease from the moment we walked in. I absolutely fell in love with how clean and well-maintained the shop is. It’s clear they take pride in every detail, which makes the experience so comfortable. Watching my brother get his haircut, I could see the care and attention the barbers put into their work, they are patient, skilled, and genuinely focused on making clients happy. I also love that it’s a family-owned business. There’s a real sense of warmth and community here, and it feels like more than just a barber shop, it’s a place that values people. 2 months ago Negative experience: Don't go to this barber at all costs. Went in there and got a cut down the owner who legit has no idea what he's doing. Worst organisation as well, every 2 mins he's looking for equipment he can't find, and just randomly started chatting to some other customer for 10 mins during my cut. Then he comes back and aggressively starts cutting my hair causing aggravation to the back of my skin. The cut itself is horrendous. Unless you want to mess up your hair and waste your time , never come here

2 months ago Negative experience: I cut my hair yesterday (for the first time). I asked for a medium skin fade, but the barber was very rude and did not take proper care while cutting my hair. My skin became irritated, and the haircut ended up being too short, with a regular skin fade. The top part was visibly uneven and not aligned with the angle of the cut, not following the shape of my head.

Our goal is always to provide a precise cut while prioritizing the health of our clients' hair and scalp. During your consultation, our barber noted some pre-existing skin sensitivities. In these cases, we try to be as careful as possible, though a skin fade can sometimes further irritate areas that are already inflamed.
Regarding the length, there seems to have been a misunderstanding during the service. Our records and team notes indicate that we were working to remove previous hair dye as requested, which required a shorter length. We apologize if the final result wasn't what you envisioned or if you felt the communication was rushed.

I came in wanting a low fade, and Moe suggested a taper style instead — my first time trying it, and I absolutely loved it. He really knows what works and took the time to explain the style. The cut was clean, sharp, and finished perfectly. I’ll definitely be coming back to Moe for this style again next time.

3 months ago Negative experience: After a 45-minute wait (which was understandable given how busy it was), I received a haircut from a barber who was extremely rough in his approach. During the trim he was very forceful with the clippers, and when he began trimming the back I could feel a bit of scratching and discomfort. It wasn’t until after the haircut that my partner pointed out the visible irritation and damage to my skin. I would not recommend getting this haircut from this barber due to the lack of care during the service. Especially for a $50 haircut.

3 months ago Fantastic experience: Update Jan 2026: I've been here a few more times over the years and they've been consistently excellent. This received another cut from Nasser (a skin fade), who really knew his stuff! Quick, friendly, and a nice haircut. Moe clearly cares about his job and was very nice to talk to. I’ve been here several times, with different barbers, and have always received compliments after. The shop’s always clean, and the booking/payment process is straightforward. Absolutely recommend!
