Fantastic experience: Just had my first experience at a barber shop and these guys are the place to be. AJ, I’m not sure if you’ll see this but man, you absolutely are a gift. Thank you for the amazing cut and beard trim. Feeling like a whole new man!

Fantastic experience: Been coming here for a minute to have the kids get cleaned up. My guy AJ comes proper with all types of trims, where its fades or anything past that. He takes his time and makes sure the cut is flawless. He's a good dude and comes highly recommended.

Negative experience: If I could put no stars I would went in today and I called first asking if they could take a walk in they said yes as long as it was before 3 I got there at 2 30 we where there in till almost 4 before I decided to take my kids and leave cause not one person even acknowledged us at all the whole time we where there and we didn't get helped at all worse customer service ever we will go else where from now on

Negative experience: JayLowc had openings on thursday so I booked for 5pm. He apparently was off this day so I waited all day for nothing and didnt dm me till an hour before. than he offers to re-schedule me for 10:00 am on friday so I didn't bother to book it myself. I arrived 20 min early coming from Sandy (i'm new to Utah and don't know any other barbershops) and he tells me he didn't book me in for 10:00 am like he said he would than re-schedules me for 1pm and it was already a mission going back and forth. Honestly the barbershop is cool but the orginization from JayLowc is very lack. I cancelled and searched for a new barber.

Negative experience: This is the second time I’ve been to the shop to give it a chance both times I have been there would be spots missed on my hair, which I asked to have the correct barber with and yet, they would still be low effort for my hair cuts I talked to the manager before super cool guy, but the rest of his barbers I have met with don’t do the best job from my experience

Negative experience: Very unprofessional conduct at this shop. An employee was openly laughing at a post about Charlie Kirk’s funeral. Regardless of personal beliefs, mocking someone’s death is inappropriate in any workplace. This behavior left a poor impression and raises concerns about the shop’s standards

Negative experience: One of the worst haircuts I’ve gotten. Didn’t even get what I asked for. Barber was supper shaky for some reason. Don’t recommend it!!

From my very first haircut, his professionalism and kindness stood out, and the quality of his work speaks for itself. I found Cutthroat on Google and made an appointment with AJ. He was able to get me in immediately. And did her deliver. Literally the best haircut of my life. Buzz cut zero fade for my big ole melon.. lined me up too. Legit. I’ll be back every time in SLC.

Negative experience: A few guys in my family have been coming here for a while but the price and quality is not worth it anymore! A rushed job, came on time but seated later, someone else was waiting for the same guy not sure when his appt. was but ours went well over 45 mins for a mid crooked cut. Overall NOT worth $50 or a tip!

Negative experience: It's not what i asked for i asked for a low taper and and inch off and this guy cuts off like 5 inches and it was a walk in took them half an hour to seat me and when I get appointments i get seated and hour after I should have been in the chair

Negative experience: This was literally my go-to spot for a year or two now. But holy, has the quality of this place absolutely deteriorated. The last few visits have been the most pathetic experiences in a barbershop I've ever experienced. A year or two ago? This spot was good. Not great, but good enough. Now it’s turned upside down. The barbershop itself is always dirty. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting with urine stains on the wall that management could care less about since they only get worse. There's never toilet paper or soap. Then, the one short bowl cut barber is always swearing even in front of kids. Like what? I used to go with juice the barber but I started to notice he could care less since he always got me out before my hour was up. Quick 25 min every time. I decided I wasn't going to pay $65+ for a cut without any effort put into it. I tried lex the barber. Dude somehow took every worse experience from any barbershop I've ever had and made it 50x worse. He's literally the worst barber I've ever seen and I'm genuinely not exaggerating. Homie cut my hair faster than juice and it looked absolutely horrible. To my big mistake of not asking for a mirror to see the back of my head because he didn't even offer to show me. He only showed me the sides which were super choppy and un even. Not even faded just a thick line. My girlfriend showed me the back of my head and it was genuinely even worse. No wonder he didn't show me the unfinished mess I had back there. No one tells him anything either people just let crappy haircuts walk out like that? It's my fault for not speaking up. Then I went to the tall skinny Mexican looking kid with the bleached hair, Alberto. He did decent but definitely needs a lot more work since the design i got was scabbed with cuts from his razor the day after. This is all my fault for thinking a place I held to such high standards for so long could redeem itself. I was trying to let these bad experiences go but I checked the google reviews and saw that the owner of this business could care less about it since he doesn't even respond to reviews with criticism. Save your money, time, and anger. Stay far away from this place.

Negative experience: Was coming here for a while until an all of sudden shift in dependability/reliability. Consecutive cancellations and no shows.. No attempts to rectify the situation on the shops or barbers end. If you value your time and money, save it.

Negative experience: I went in with my son and one of the stylists accused me of smelling like drugs and I have been clean for 2 years now not only did it embarrass me but it also embarrassed my son and his girlfriend to the point that my son felt very very uncomfortable and didn’t wanna be there anymore nor did he want that person touch his hair what so over he was very rude and very unprofessional in a business environment I own my own carpet company and even when the person does smelll a certain way that is that person life choices and does not need to be put on blast in front of store full of employees and customers

Negative experience: Horrible service. The website allowed me to make an appointment for Monday and I found out that they're closed on Mondays. I couldn't get a refund so they scammed me. CUT THROAT WEST VALLEY ARE SCAMMERS!! I LOST 60 BUCKS FOR A HAIRCUT I DIDNT GET.

Fantastic experience: I had a wonderful experience with Cutthroat, I came in at my appointment time and was instantly seated. The barber was attentive, listened to exactly what I wanted, gave me a few different points of check in, to ensure I was happy with how it was looking. The cut time was exactly the length of the appointment, I paid and was out the door exactly when I expected to be. Very friendly atmosphere, clean shop, awesome folks working and running things very smoothly. All in all, I’m definitely satisfied and am going to make it a regular appointment.

They seem to have a very high volume of cuts, but everyone seemed to be super friendly and attentive to their customers. I received my haircut from Michael, and he did a great job. He was very careful to ensure exactly what I wanted done each step of the process. Great place!!

Negative experience: The haircut was average, but the barber was a weirdo who bragged about how abrasive his previous clients found him. He talked about how much he likes gore, which in hindsight was a huge red flag, but I was already halfway through a haircut at that point. I guess his enjoyment of gore has spread into his sterilization practices because he gave me an infection. The owner's response to bad reviews will tell you everything you need to know about the contempt they feel for their clients.

Fantastic experience: I came into town for a wedding and needed a fade and beard trim. Cutthroat was recommended. Me and my son were walk-ins. We were seen in just a few minutes. The barber was thorough and did a good job. He took his time asked me all along the way. He did a good job. My beard hasn't looked better and he helped my style through a weird in-between length phase. I would recommend finishing up the experience with a straight-edge clean-up and more thorough hair removal after. Cool vibe. Great reggae music. Happy group of barbers.

Fantastic experience: G Chopper has been my guy for beard for almost a year now and I have always left with an awesome looking beard. He has great attention to detail and makes sure that he does a job you like. Definitely recommend him for the West Valley store!

Negative experience: Made an appointment and showed up on time. Waited around for 15 min and when I asked I was told the barber was on his way but still 10 min out. 2 stars because the vibe inside seemed cool, but not worth waiting 25+ min when I had scheduled an appointment.

Fantastic experience: This has been my regular spot for about 2 years now. Best barber shop in the valley! I have been to a few of them, and this place for sure has the best vibes, best barbers, and they really make sure to take care of you. Specific shoutout to Baca and Juice for always killing it, and Baca especially for being a good dude who is easy to work with.

Sports playing on the 4 different televisions and lots of places to sit in the waiting area. I highly recommend Amm. He hooked me up with exactly what I wanted - a clean fade. Walk-ins welcome but I would suggest booking an appointment online or over the phone.

Amm is absolutely excellent not only in is absolutely on point skills and techniques but also in his client care. I go in every two weeks like clock work. Such a great guy, always goes the extra mile to make you feel so good about yourself every time you sit in his chair. Amm is very communicative and makes it a good time. He’s always got fun suggestions to keep things interesting. I never would have tried some of my most favorite looks without his help!

Positive experience: My barber was a super friendly, polite and nice dude. But I booked a service that was not available when I arrived, and I drove 2 hours to get there. So that was quite upsetting. The decor was awesome! Giant murals in the likeness of the 2005 movie, Sin City. But, the floors were covered in clumps of old hair from previous cuts; nobody seems to clean as they go? That kinda went against the vibe. Loved the hip-hop jams playing though! Was listening to WuTang on my way there!

Fantastic experience: Went in to get a fade and Jadyn got me in. Went out of his way to squeeze me in for an appointment. I had a bad experience with my last barber and he wanted to make sure I wasn’t walking around with a crooked fade. My man didn’t take up too much of my time, was extremely professional, was able to hold a conversation and definitely represented Cutthroat Barbershop in the best way!! People are more apt to leave a bad review than a good one. But with how nice this fade is, cost, and level of professionalism, I’ll definitely be back regularly and wanted to leave a good review so people can see the good as well. Everyone was nice, it was clean, and they even had some products that I found work in my hair for a better price than online which I honestly didnt think would be the case. Negative experience: Needed a haircut. Called the place, they said book online. Tried to book online, they required a card number to book. Weird that they need a card number before they provide any service, but ok whatever. Sent me a text with an unusable link in it to confirm the booking, called the place and tried to confirm over the phone, they said confirm online. Weird that they can't confirm over the phone, but ok whatever. Went online and confirmed. Showed up for the appointment -on time- and not only is the barber I booked with not there, he's on vacation. Left a week before the booking. Won't be back for who knows how long. They don't have any barbers available to honor the appointment that they took my card number and online confirmation to book. Really annoyed that I wasted my time with this place.

Fantastic experience: Love coming to the shop. Everyone is nice and very welcoming. My barber G makes me feel like family and whenever he gives me my fresh cuts, we just have good conversations making us both laugh to the point where sometimes we cry. If he were to leave, I would honestly leave with him. Management has done a good job with their barbers so thank you guys for being so welcoming and inviting.

Negative experience: This is the first time coming to this place and I must say that it was highly disappointing. I had scheduled an appointment at 11:00 AM, with Jaylowc Robinson, Expecting a smooth and efficient service. The lack of organization and preparation on the part of the barbershop was evident. It is entirely unacceptable for a business to leave its customers and employees standing outside, unable to enter the premises, especially during the scheduled appointment time. This level of unprofessionalism is disheartening, to say the least. When we managed to get inside I was informed that the person that was supposed to be doing my cut didn’t even show up. I was not accommodate for my time. Unfortunately, this incident has left a lasting impression, and I can confidently say that I will not be returning to this barbershop in the future. A business that fails to prioritize its customers' satisfaction and demonstrates a lack of professionalism does not deserve my patronage.

Negative experience: Horrible attention, if anyone has respect for their time dont go to this spot, they had the worst drawn on sheet a sign in sheet and after they had multiple people waiting for an hour to two (most people left) they realized they messed and were short on barbers but they still set around and let time drag on. Stood up and left Would never go again.

His quality and expertise has accumulated into his thriving business which goes without saying or I wouldn't have stuck around as a faithful, happy customer for so long. He has also surrounded and filled his barber shop with other barbers and stylists that strive for the highest quality in there work, which is matched equally with their customer service and making sure everyone leaves happy with their final result. My wife also comes with me now and has her hair done by Lindsey who is Mikes wife and works in the shop. I couldn't be happier with Cutthroat Barber Shop. I highly recommend them!!! I showed him a picture of what I wanted and asked him to do something similar in a way that worked well with my head shape, and he killed it! Super happy with my cut and will go back to Juice in the future. Also planning on bringing my son for his next haircut. The staff was super friendly and the environment was really chill. Fantastic experience: G was the one who cut my hair and I don't think I remember I time where I received so many compliments on my cut. Not only was he attentive to my needs on the haircut he made sure I left happy before I came out that chair I'll be back for sure and happily give my time and money to this guy and the shop.

Fantastic experience: This place really has it going on. I took my 14 year old son here to get a haircut for a specific look he was going for. The guy who cut his hair nailed it! Not only did the hair cut look super clean and sharp, the whole environment here is so chill and amazing. They play great music. The art on the walls is spectacular and the waiting area is super comfortable as well. I kinda felt like I was at a tattoo parlor. Lol On top of that. I called them about 30 minutes before they were closing and they told us to come on by. I really appreciate them getting us in so quickly. Every other place in town was booked at least a 3 or 4 day out. I will definitely be bringing my boys here from now on and I will recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

Negative experience: Not happy at all first off she was not very friendly we came here due to the good reviews but after having our own experience here I don't feel like we will ever be coming back again or recommending this place she was too rough with my son and super rude my son has ADHD and when asked if he could watch his phone she was rude about it even though I told her he's really good at sitting and listening she was rough all around I asked her to cut some leftover hair on his neck and she did it so rough that she cut his neck she had an attitude about it and did a horrible job left a lot of long hairs not a good experience for our first time here.

And if you're lucky enough to get an appointment in any of the three shops you will have the same experience with anyone he trains and allows to fade.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting my hair cut at Cutthroat for years, since my work opened an office across the street from the West Valley location. The last time I went, I had noticed some severe balding on my head. I voiced some anxiety about being bald and my barber said that I had the head shape to pull it off. As he shaved my head he was very aware of my insecurities, and kept saying how much better I would look bald as opposed to balding. He was right, and very kind along the way. It was an easy change and I love my bald head. I plan on returning for regular beard trimmings as they are professional and good people here.
