Negative experience: Got a haircut a couple days ago and it was bad. I showed a video of the haircut that I wanted to get and the results are nothing as what I showed them. Friends and coworkers could tell the haircut was bad and that’s too much to say. The only reason I’m not giving a 1 star review is because other people got good haircuts as I was waiting.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful experience getting a haircut and a beard trim with Carlos. I’m just visiting Salt Lake City, and I was nervous about getting my hair cut by someone who isn’t my regular barber, who I’ve been going to for 3 years back in Vancouver. However, after letting my beard grow for 3 weeks, i realized I could not wait until I’m back. To my relief, after I explained how I usually get my hair and beard cut, Carlos understood precisely what I wanted. He worked meticulously and carefully, taking his time to get it just right. I was very impressed that for a price lower than most other barbershop I found in the area (when looking at booking appointments online) I got a close razor cut with a hot towel steam treatment, that was not rushed at all. I love my usual barber but frankly for the same price I got a lot more here. My hair and beard looked exactly like it always does after my usual barbershop service - just perfect! I definitely recommend coming here and letting Carlos take care of you.

Negative experience: I asked for a trim and not anything drastically different. No additional questions were asked but my typical haircut is a 2 guard faded into a scissor cut. What I received was roughly a 2 guard all the way to the top exposing a bald spot that every other barber I’ve ever been too had left a little covered, uneven sideburns, and a half shaved neck. One of the worst haircuts I’ve ever received at a barber shop. Shop has a cool vibe though.

Negative experience: Did not get a very good cut from here. Wanted a medium flow with a mid taper fade, got something else, no taper fade and an uneven cut on the left side. Now I got to wear a hat or go to a different barber to fix it. The whole haircut felt rushed I arrived 10 minutes early and was seen 10 minutes after my appointment time and the haircut only took 10-15 minutes. If I wanted to rushed haircut and for it to just be bland and not what I asked for I would have just gone to Great clips and saved 20 bucks.

Positive experience: The shop was nice. Everyone seem to be friendly. But the hairdresser I got was very awkward. I tried to start out conversation a couple times with minimal response and sat there and awkward silence for 20 minutes. She was nice but radio silence haha. Not sure what the going rate for a haircut is these days, but this seem to be the cheapest haircut in the walkable distance from my hotel. But it was still 35 bucks. Good haircut though!

Fantastic experience: Garrett has done my boys hair several times! As a stylist myself, I know my limits and trust Garrett one thousand percent! He helped my son prepare for homecoming, helped him feel so confident, now my son is in college missing his Barber! My other son loves feeling like a badA! Positive experience: I had a somewhat disappointing experience at this salon. My first Impression upon arrival was good, everyone was really nice but during the hair cut, the barber accidentally cut my ear. It kept bleeding throughout and it still hurts now, a couple days later. This has never happened to me before. The hair cut also wasnt very well done, with different length hair on my Head. Accidents can happen, but i Unfortunately cannot recommend this place based on my experience.

Negative experience: I decided to make an appointment here because of the unanimously positive reviews and now I am totally puzzled by them. This might have been the worst haircut of my life. I don’t know which barber I had, no introduction. He did ask what I wanted, and some clarifying questions, which I appreciated. But, the cut felt like a somewhat frantic speedrun even though there was no else waiting. The whole thing took under 15 minutes. Random spots shaved, unevenly on each side. The overall vibe at the shop was clean and modern, but did not seem very friendly. Despite there being ~5 customers and barbers there, almost nobody said a single word the (short) time I was there. I feel bad leaving such a negative review but I honestly cannot imagine ever recommending this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I don't go anywhere else. Z does an incredible job with the straight razor and everyone in the shop is friendly. The price is less than other places downtown, so I can get a professional look whenever I need it. Walk-ins are welcome but I recommend using their website to make sure you can get a spot.

Fantastic experience: Mo was by far one of the best barbers I have ever had. I have moved around a lot and so have had a lot of different barbers cut my hair but Mo was amazing. Even if he hadn't said a word during the cut, his talent alone doing the high bald fade for me and knowing what looks good for my head shape was exceptional. Beyond the great haircut, what made my experience so valuable was that I was able to ask Mo a lot of questions and have an honest conversation about style and what haircut would look best for me - which is a conversation a lot of other barbers don't want to have because they want to get the cut over with as quickly as possible. In that way, Mo was a true stylist and I appreciated the honesty, integrity, and attention he brought to the conversation while cutting my hair. It felt like a collaboration, and it was obvious how much he cared about giving customers a great haircut and a great overall experience in the barbershop. I will absolutely come back and schedule an appointment with Mo again when I visit SLC in the future.

Negative experience: Not really a great spot for someone with thick hair. The barber, Carlos, left too much weight on top and too short on the sides. Carlos seemed rude towards me as well. He kept making backhanded comments towards me about my longer hair, and that I “finally looked like a man” when it was cut. Weird, will not be coming here again.
