Fantastic experience: The staff were all very friendly. I was instantly able to make conversation when I got into my chair, which made me feel comfortable. Negative experience: This was my fourth visit. The haircut itself is average, and I used to come here mainly because it’s close to my apartment. Today, when I walked in, the receptionist told me a 20-minute wait was fine. However, I ended up waiting for 45 min to 1 hour while TWO other people arrived after me and were accommodated before me. That felt very disrespectful and came across as discriminatory. I approached the receptionist to ask if something was wrong. She replied that someone was “coming for me.” When I asked why- whether someone special was required just to cut my hair-she had no response. I politely walked out, but the experience left me feeling disrespected. After four visits, my takeaway is this: the haircut is AVERAGE, but the attitude and apparent racism are unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: I started going to this location when my former stylist left at another location. They have a nice setup and when the weather is nice have a retractable front window rolled up for a nice breeze. I always make a reservation so have no wait times. Gloria is great and she's done my hair a half dozen times. Friendly staff and overall great experience.

Negative experience: Went in for a trim on my beard. I mean call yourself a barbershop and doesn't use a blade on a beard mind blowing. Also beard is lower on one side than the other I couldn't imagine my hair getting down there. I maybe bold on one side and have hair on the other.

Positive experience: Everyone is attentive and friendly. Listen actively to what the request is and helps to get you the cut that will suit you and hair style. They do offer additional services but nothing seems to be overly pushy like other places might. Fair pricing for the services received.

Negative experience: Went in to give this place a second chance. The man who cut my hair barely talked to me. Completely gave me the wrong cut and gave me a 40 year old comb over (late 20s not balding btw) ask no question on how I wanted it and acted like I was i was a bother to him. I thought after the 2nd time id see improvements but I only see set backs on quatility. If you want a decent hair cut dont go to this location id give yall ZERO stars if possible.

Negative experience: Call and spoke with Wu and asked about any walk in availabilities. She said absolutely. I show up in 5 minutes for a walk in. The lady up front has no idea of the appointment and said Wu left. Horrible customer service!! Will not be back. Preston Rd!!!

Negative experience: We took our two year old for a cut not knowing what to expect as he's only gone to kid specific hair salons. The coordinator was a bit uninviting but it didn't affect our experience with Ross, he was very polite and patient with our son. He asked what we were interested in doing and also kept asking along the process if everything seemed good. I've personally have gotten my hair cut at Floyd's and the experience is hit and miss, but I'm glad my son had a great one this time around. We will be going back to Ross for his future cuts. Walked in recently and it's unfortunate we were told they had "everyone booked up" for a kids cut. We came in around 2PM and that one has availability mid day is absurd. Service here is very odd, some days you get good service some days you don't. Ross is about the only friendly person we get here. For the price you pay for a kids cut you'd think they'd try.

Fantastic experience: Jay did a great job on my 11 yr old son's hair! They were very kind and listened to our concerns and wants. It was a bonus that they were very knowledgeable with curly hair. He said it was the best haircut he's ever had and only wants to go there from now on. And he has major haircut trauma so that is truly saying a lot!

Fantastic experience: I was in need of a beard trim and hair cut, decided to stop by to see if there were any walk in appointments available. I was able to get the trims I needed from Ross. An absolute professional, I gave my ideas and what I was looking to do and Ross took great care of me. While cutting and making adjustments to my beard, he made sure to let me know what he was doing and how this will not only look great but tame my hair and make it more manageable. Getting your beard trimmed can be nerve wrecking, especially if there’s a lack of confidence in the stylist or barber…. Ross knocked it out of the park. Thank you so much!

Negative experience: Avoid Floyd's Saloon - Haircut Horror Show Let me preface this by saying I've had better haircuts from budget chains and even DIY attempts. Floyd's Saloon, despite their website's promises and inflated prices, delivered a rushed, sloppy haircut that was frankly embarrassing. Their website boasts a 45-minute to 1-hour service for a $35 haircut. Mine? A whirlwind 15-minute hack job. I felt like I was on a conveyor belt, not in a "salon." The stylist clearly prioritized speed over quality, leaving me with uneven layers and a general sense of disarray. Don't be fooled by the presence of one potentially skilled hairdresser. One good apple doesn't save a rotten bunch. The overall experience was unprofessional and deeply disappointing. Save your money and your hair – go anywhere else. In a nutshell, my 6year old cousin does a better job than professionals with a degree at this store.

Negative experience: Terrible experience since the moment I walked in, the receptionist and the staff in general were rudeness, not a single smile. My haircut was done by a woman (I don't know her name, but she was the only one who spoke Spanish) she was very inexperienced, she didn't inspire confidence when cutting, she only used a razor to outline my beard, they didn't use a blade. When I asked about the cost of the beard, they argued that the price would increase if they used a blade, which I don't think is fair, since I paid $60. I also requested eyebrow shaping with a blade, but none of the 5 "professional" barbers knew how to do it. I had to go back two minutes after finishing the cut, because they left my sideburns cut very badly. In general, poor service and high cost for what they offer. The place is nice and well located, that's the only redeeming feature.

Negative experience: Went in to get my beard tidied up and the back side of neck lined up. The stuff was quite friendly, but that's where the good experience ends. I had gotten a hair cut and a clean shave about 3 weeks ago so it wasn't really a mess to begin with. My whole time in the establishment must have been a little over 10 minutes, and paying for, what were a couple of strokes(I don't grow much beard hair) , 32 dollars left a sour taste.

Negative experience: Just got notified James is no longer working here. Highly unfortunate. Had to settle for a different stylist and it didn’t end well. This’ll alter a lot of people’s haircuts moving forward for the worse and begs the question: Why can’t Floyd’s management keep the good ones around? This idea of charging customers a premium by the work of amateur stylists isn’t sustainable. Might as well go to Supercuts. Potential customers: Next time you go in and are getting a cut, ask to see the license of the stylist cutting your hair, especially if they claim to be a “barber.”

Fantastic experience: I have a pretty standard hairstyle for a guy. Nothing fancy. But for some unknown reason I have come across way more than my fair share of people who completely botched up my haircut - almost to the point of having to shave it and start all over again... Thankfully that hasn’t been the case at Floyd’s. I’ve been 5 or 6 times now. Different person each time, but always leave with a good haircut. Glad I found this place, and definitely recommend.

Negative experience: First time back in a long while and will be the last. Set an appointment for 5:30pm. Get there at 5:20 and was told that they took someone else right beforehand and could schedule me for tomorrow. What would be the point of that?

Negative experience: Terrible experiences. My son and partner both had haircuts at the same time. One looks like his hair wasn't even touched so complete waste of money. The other took off WAY too much. Worst haircut I've ever seen. Complete disappointment, will not be returning.

Negative experience: if u are a woman and u care about how ur hair looks do NOT get a haircut here. also the $10 difference for a “full service” is not worth it they didnt include anything that the full service mentioned compared to the one thats $10 less.

Negative experience: The scheduling service is awful and the wait is long. I scheduled a haircut with one of the stylists and I arrived 20 minutes in advance. After 1 hour waiting I was surprised by the information from the attendant that the stylist was not going to meet me in at least another 30 minutes. At this point I was offered another stylist, which I did not like.

Fantastic experience: Ross is the most fantastic, amazing barber at this location. After a few months of trying out different barbers, Ross was the one that paid the most attention to detail about what I was looking for in a haircut. So much so that I only go to him now every time I come here. Aside from being an excellent barber Ross also has a fun, bubbly personality which always makes it a joy coming into appointments and I always look forward to them.

Negative experience: This is the first time I am writing a review for a haircut. One of the worst hair cut I have ever gotten , when I came back home after the hair cut literally my neck part and head part is burning with rashes , I don’t know how these guys are maintaining there equipment , the stylist was in very hurry to finish her job done with me and want to take care of the next appointment rather than making the customer happy, please do have some passion for the work you do rather then just wrapping up the job for money sake , Very disappointed never coming back again.

Fantastic experience: Dezzi at Floyd's of Preston in Frisco is an absolutely amazing hair stylist! I recently had the pleasure of getting my hair cut by her and I can confidently say that she provides one of the best and most detailed fades in Frisco. Not only is she incredibly talented and skilled at her craft, but she is also an absolute joy to be around. During my appointment with Dezzi, she not only gave me a fantastic haircut but also recommended some great products for my hair type. Our interaction was both fun and professional, making for a very enjoyable experience overall. I was particularly impressed with her attention to detail - despite just needing a men's haircut, she spent over an hour and 15 minutes making sure that my hair was perfect. Dezzi's inner beauty matches her outer beauty, and she truly cares about her clients and making sure they leave feeling confident and happy with their haircut. I have been to Floyd's of Preston before with someone else, but after my experience with Dezzi, I will definitely be returning to her for my future haircuts. Overall, I cannot recommend Dezzi at Floyd's of Preston enough. If you're looking for a talented stylist who truly cares about their clients and provides exceptional service, then look no further than Dezzi. She is an absolute gem and I guarantee that you will leave her chair feeling like a million bucks!

Negative experience: I went to this place for the first time on Saturday. I asked for a layer cut with blow dry. My haircut took 15 minutes, and it was $60. I feel it’s a bit too pricey. The woman was friendly, but she forgot to wash my hair before starting the haircut, and I had to remind her about the shampoo. When she cut my hair, she left it unevenly, and it didn't turn out to be a layer cut—finally, no blow-dry. I would not recommend this place for a haircut .

Negative experience: I would like to start by saying that ive never walked into a men's barbershop without getting a haircut until I walked into this business. This particular barbershop has the worst service and attitude. I've been to this location 3 different times as a walk in and 3 times I was turned away for haircut. If that's not frustrating enough, I've had to wait several minutes before even being addressed and then I'm spoken to(twice) in a flippant manner. This last time I noticed one of the employees who was a younger WF playing on her phone as I waited to be addressed. She just sat in a chair behind the register totally ignoring me. Another barber finally came over to address me and the girl playing on her phone (JENNA) pops up and tells me sorry they could not give me a haircut in the typical flippant manner I've come to expect. As I noticed her and one other barber that appeared to not be busy I asked why? and she said I needed an appointment eventhough there is a sign out front that says WALK INS and another sign that's lit up that says OPEN. I looked at the time and it was an hour and a half before they closed. I asked Jenna if the walk in sign still applied. She responded again flippantly, but 2 decibels louder "what do you want me to do!!! " We were in front of several people. It was obvious she was putting on a show for them. I was embarrassed and suggested they figure out whether they wanted to take appointments or walk ins. After going back to my car I decided to go back in and get the name of the rude girl (Jenna) I noticed again she was setting behind counter playing on her phone. I also saw another barber boxing up her clippers for the day as she was not busy with another client as I had been told. So unless you have made an appointment, don't go to this place as a walk in, or you might be turned away in shame after encountering a lazy barber with a bad attitude. In fact I would recommend you find a better run business.

Fantastic experience: As a woman, it’s hard to get a haircut that you don’t have to wait for it to grow out to enjoy (you know the kind, you sit in your car and cry over) the lady who cut my hair added the right amount of body, bounce and trimmed just enough to not take away from the length but to accentuate my round head. Great experience, love the music and the environment. I ONLY get my hair cut at Floyd’s whenever I’m in Texas.

Very personable, friendly, and she makes sure to give a quality cut every single time! About two years ago, both of my boys started to use Sharmin exclusively because of just how good she is! Negative experience: Went to this place for the first time today and felt like I asked for a pretty simple cut, fade on sides and left longer on top. They brought the fade so high up on the back left side that it looks like I lost control of a lawnmower.. I'd say 25% of my hair was cut on top when it shouldn't have been touched at all. Going to take forever to grow back evenly with the rest of my hair.

Positive experience: Did not feel welcome at all The front desk lady made it seem like there was an issue with my schedule. And the lady who cut my hair gve me an attitude and literally stopped ND crossed her arms and said OKAY!! NOW WHAT KIND OF HAIRCUT DO YOU WANT?! all I asked for was for her NOT to cut my curls because they don't come easy. And then she still had an attitude through haircut. Bad experience for a first timer.

Negative experience: My hair was pretty much growing from a buzz cut(so a clean slate/blank canvas) and I asked for a basic medium fade. Idk about most barbers but I don’t trust anyone that does a fade one handedly. She turned the quick medium to a took too long rustic high fade. If I’m paying upwards of $30, a simple fade shouldn’t be too much to ask. Not my first Floyd exp, but definitely wouldn’t go back unless I absolutely had too.

Negative experience: This is the first time I am writing a review for a haircut. One of the worst hair cut I have ever gotten on a very important day. I specifically requested someone who can do fade hair cut and an expert in beard trim. The receptionist assigned someone who does not even know basic haircuts. It was some middle eastern lady who just started using the trimmer and as soon as I showed her the picture of what I wanted. she hardly even used the scissors. You guys are such a big organization and I am surprised by the skills you hire. I had put so much effort into growing my hair and beard so that I can get the style I wanted. Your stylist just messed all that up in 10 min. That's how much time she took to actually do it. And I paid 45$ for this. I look like a clown. Never coming back here again and please refund my money. And for others please do not take a haircut with that lady. She will mess it up. She also gave me neck pain by not using a neck supporter while trimming the beard. who does that? really? Have some passion for the work you do. People come to you thinking you are better than others. Very Very disappointed. -10 star.

Fantastic experience: Ross is the boss and made the whole process extremely easy! Let me you tell, Ross has excellent fading techniques, extremely passionate, very confident and has great conversation with you! Ross also got some new fancy haircutting tools so I would highly recommend booking them!

Fantastic experience: We were there on a busy Friday afternoon. We did make an appointment, but only an hour in advance. We saw multiple people walk-in without appointments and be helped while we were there. I enjoyed the vibe, but anyone with sensory issues would find this place horrible. - There is music playing (louder than "background" music) and posters all over. My 16 yo sons haircut turned out great. We talked to the technician and asked what she thought would look best on his face and what was in style and she explained what she thought very well and then did a great job of doing exactly that. He was thrilled and feels like he found his new look. We'll be back!

Fantastic experience: Ciara D. is the absolute best. The first time I sat down ht her station, she asked me what I wanted done and i gave her the most basic cut instructions and just asked her to do whatever she felt would look good on me. From there she absolutely killed it. I'm still rocking the same cut 3 years later. She's 100% worth the money.

Negative experience: Worst haircut I got in my life. It is from Sherry. There is no symmetry. Few times she did good job. I feel she got comfortable as she felt I am her customer. I might get haircut from this salon but definitely not from sherry anymore.

Positive experience: Been coming here for a few years. The atmosphere has a cool vibe, and the stylists are understanding if you're not quite happy with the cut and wanna get your kid back in the seat. Whenever my 3 boys are in need, I try to get em in to see Sierra.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Floyd’s for years and always had good service but Meg has given me my best haircut far and away. I like a nice tight high fade military type cut. I haven’t had a haircut this good in a long, long time. As long as Meg is there I will be a customer.
