Negative experience: Waited over 30 minutes for my child’s appointment and was asked “how short does it he want”, I told him I would not like it rushed. He said then no we can’t take him and shrugged his shoulders. So we left.

Negative experience: Drive 30 mins to this location for hair color location and and they didn’t have it not sure why they let me book then. They didn’t even have a working toilet. Never coming back to this location.

Positive experience: I came here twice. The first time I got the best haircut I've ever had and it sold me on coming back. The second time I came I asked for the same thing and was pretty simple about my request. Which was a fade around, square up the back, and 1 inch off the top. Instead I was left with 1 inch of hair on top... I had like 4 inches of hair, now I have so little left I can't style it at all. The fade is nice but they had to have misheard me when I said "1 to 1.5 inches off the top" and thought I said "leave 1 inch remaining" or something. I'm confused on if I'll come back.

She’s one of those stylists who actually listens, pays attention to the details, and somehow makes the whole thing feel easy. She shaped everything exactly the way I asked without rushing through it. What I really appreciated was how comfortable she made the whole experience. She checked in at the right moments, made adjustments when needed, and clearly knows her craft. You can tell she takes pride in her work. If you’re looking for someone who’s skilled, consistent, and genuinely cares about giving you a great cut, go see Marisol. I’ll definitely be booking with her again.

Positive experience: Maria does a good job with my hair. 5 star service there. The reason for the 3 star rating is the Plano location recently increased their prices, and it is now $40 for a basic men's haircut. They require a minimum 20% tip (which I don't mind) but it means you're walking out the door at $48 minimum for a basic haircut that takes 15 minutes. Will not be returning due to price.

Negative experience: The experience was good until the end. I showed the stylist what I wanted and specifically said, “I’d like to maintain the length on the top and back.” I showed him the picture twice. Not once did he show me or ask if the length was okay. I’ve been to other shops where they pull the hair and ask, “How much would you like off?” At the end I told him, “It’s too short,” and he proceeded to say, “That’s what you asked for.” I brought out the picture again and he simply said, “Sorry.” This was my very first experience here, and honestly, I’m not sure if I’ll be back.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Dallas about a year ago, and after a few trial-and-error experiences, I found myself really liking Cool Heads. My main barber is Marisol, and while I’ve occasionally had other barbers cut my hair, I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad experience here. It doesn’t feel like a corporate chain — the attention to detail and quality of service make it feel like a true neighborhood barbershop. I started going to the Addison location with Marisol, and even after she moved to Plano, I still make the drive becasue its the barber that makes the barbershop unique. The staff at both locations are very friendly, attentive, and professional. They take the time to talk with you and make sure you leave looking your best. They stay focused during your cut — no phone calls, no texts, and best of all, unlike some other barbers out there, there are no ring lights in your face for their social media content while you’re paying for a haircut.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for 10am, the first slot available, and then showed up right at 10am. There was a single stylist and another customer. I was told another stylist might be 15 minutes late; I left the building 30 minutes later after not being communicated with again.
