Fantastic experience: Excellent service. Low prices.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with eyebrow threading at this salon. The procedure was extremely painful, far more than any threading service I've had before. Unfortunately, it left me with multiple cuts and noticeable scars around my eyebrows, which is completely unacceptable. This was my first visit here, and it will definitely be my last. I've had my eyebrows threaded many times at different places and have never experienced this level of pain or skin damage. I expected professional care and technique, but instead left feeling upset and concerned about the condition of my skin. I have clear photos showing the cuts and scarring caused by the threading. Unfortunately, this review platform does not allow me to upload photos, otherwise I would have shared them here for others to see. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this service.

Fantastic experience: I dropped in here one day, about 2 years ago, for a trim and a tidy up and I have been returning every 2 to 3 weeks since. I was impressed with the cut and received several good comments about it. The price is very reasonable and the staff are ultra friendly. Generally no more than a 5 minute wait. Highly recommended - Keep up the great work ladies.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Klassic Kutz to get my eyebrows done for around 8 years. Ashika here does such a good job. I wouldn’t trust anyone else for it. The service is excellent - they have such great attention to detail, and use quality products. I get my eyebrows threaded and tinted and my lashes tinted, and they do all that for such a good price. The service is always friendly and professional. I have since moved to Wellington, and now wait until I’m home in Tauranga just to get my eyebrows done at Klassic Kutz! If you’re in Tauranga, don’t go anywhere else for brows! I can’t recommend them enough.

I have live in Christchurch, Gisborne, Rotorua and Auckland and I can say with confidence that this is by far the best barber I have experience. Negative experience: It was the worst place to get my hair cut. A lady cut my hair, but didn’t notice it wasn’t even. If she had just said, “SORRY” or “I WILL CORRECT IT,” I wouldn’t mind, but instead, she was rude and said it was MY FAULT for not mentioning it. FOR GOD’S SAKE, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS CUTTING MY HAIR AND SHOULD NOTICE IF IT’S EVEN OR NOT. IF SOMEONE MENTIONS IT NEEDS CORRECTION, IT SHOULD BE CORRECTED. Please don’t go to this place. The BROWN LADY was rude from the start to the end of the session. I am also brown, and this is not about RACE. I didn’t get the woman’s name.

Negative experience: This is probably the worst barber I’ve ever seen in my life. Even though the woman is somewhat kind, she doesn’t know how to cut hair. I tried to explain what I wanted, but she did it her way. In the end, I ended up with a really awful haircut. My fade isn’t straight, and there’s a patch missing at the back of my head. Even for the top, I told her to be careful and keep the angles, but with the first snip of the scissors, she cut everything off. Now my haircut looks like a mess. I’m really disappointed. The only good thing is probably the price, but take my advice: don’t trust them with your hair !

Fantastic experience: Walked in at 840am Sat morning and there was a queue. (Must be good.) Waited about 12 mins. Told the barber what I wanted with specific requirements for my hair type etc. Cut my hair, layered, as low volume hair requires apparently. Wife loved the quality cut. (Her mum was a hairdresser and knows a good cut). Will definately be returning.

Negative experience: Horrible service and way too expensive. Went there for waxing and threading. Charged $115 for legs, arms waxing and eyebrows. With that price you atleast expect good service but all i came home with uneven eyebrows, patches of hair left here and there. Never going back and trust me.. you can get the best services from somewhere else with this much price..

Positive experience: Only place I go for a simple hair cut. Men's cut is only $20, they are fast, very friendly no frills cut shop. No shampoo, no head massage, no extras, just a consistent 10 minute hair cut. Sometimes the is a queue depending on time of day, holidays, etc. But you usually only have to wait if you are being picky about which stylist you want. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: Asked for the hairdresser to very simply shorten the hair, while keeping the style the same. Instead she lopped off the front and left me looking ridiculus. Poor communication, expected better for $20 as a student and will not be returning again

The price is so cheap, I've had much worse experiences at barber shops and hairdressers that charge nearly twice as much. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Negative experience: Really really disappointed today. I usually only pay $18 for my hair cut but today after my cut I found out I had to pay $27 this is a ridiculous increase. As a family of 6, none of us will be returning due to this experience. Very disappointed that they didn't help us and make us walk away wanting to go back.
