I have to drive all the way from Halswell to come here, but its totally worth the gas. I am aware of a site in Riccarton, but the crew at this location is unmatched. Definitely come here for a fresh cut

Fantastic experience: Visiting from Auckland and stopped in spur of the moment while filling up with gas across the road for a cut & beard trim. All I can say is these guys are freakin awesome. Magic Mike on the clippers & blade sorted out the 3wks of hair neglect I had built up on holiday, went away feeling brand new. Super skilled & great eye for details, will def be back next visit to CHCH. Cheap gas across the road at NPD too haha

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff and do a great cut! Never been disappointed. $45 for a zero fade. Weekends can be busy so best to get in early or between 4:30pm - 6pm during the week if you work a 9-5.

Negative experience: Complete disaster of a haircut from the height of the number 1 all round, the hugely out of line fading, and going over half of my crown for no reason. Walked in with one style, walked out with them trying to style it a completely different way. Literally had to go to another barbers on the way home to get it sorted as best as possible given how bad it was.

Positive experience: no patience to listen customer. Told them to use scissors, just use clipper for fade cut and took 40$ like a skilled cool guy.

Fantastic experience: This has been the second time there and one I would repeat again. The staff are friendly and very good at what they do. It cost me $25 to get a buzz cut. So if you are looking for a barber that has great prices and are great at what they do please give them a try.

Negative experience: Went in with my son to get both of us haircuts. There was no queue, so I was happy and thought we wouldn't have to wait long. After 15 minutes, I thought "wow, these guys certainly don't rush" as I watched one of the hairdressers blow-drying and combing a woman's hair the entire time. After 30 minutes, I watched in confusion, I'm not an expert but they seemed to make no progress on the client's hair. The woman was still having her hair combed and blow-dried, for 30 minutes! After 40 minutes I gave up. I walked out and will never go back.

Negative experience: I got the worst haircut ever for $35. It's not that the barbers lacked skill—they seemed pretty good. The issue is the quick 10-15 minute $35 assembly line cuts. I wanted short sides and a semi-short top, but there was no "how short" question when he started cutting the top as usual. He finished in a flash and was about to pack up, but I had to stop him because the fringe was a disaster. I asked him to fix it, and when I got home, my wife burst out laughing. It was all uneven with long strips of hair everywhere, definitely not a precise cut. The problem was zero communication, but at least there was some good banter in Filipino among the crew I guess. I didn't understand, though. By the way, I won't bother going back to fix it. I'd rather go to Mo Town or any other real professionals I've tried before. I had high hopes for Filipino barbers, but it was a letdown. Edit: look at that answer, now that something to tell you all you need to know. I was there, walked in on foot.

Negative experience: Did not like the barber who cut my hair today he should of took he’s time instead rushing it I asked for a mid fade he gave me a high fade I told the barber to line my beard not shave my beard I even told him don’t make the top look too short and he didn’t listen thanks to him I have to walk to school looking like an egg it’s so embarrassing your barber needs to work on communication man $55 that’s freaken ridiculous man bloody rippoff!!!

Riccarton is an accessible shop parking is around the rear no decent bike racks though so I chain up at the supermarket next door. He use some machine instead now I got razor bumps Ect all over the back of my head probably from the uncleanliness of utensils, very untidy work space, Lines were crooked & The Lack Of Hygiene Was A real Red Flag For Me, the list goes on, Didn’t Clean The Hair On Or Around The Chair From the Previous Customer Before Me & Didn’t See Him Change The Razor On The Cut Throat Before Using It for box Ect, yuck…. I Believe The Razor Should Always Be Changed on the cut throat Per Customer, period, Will continue looking for a new barber.
