Fantastic experience: The most amazing wonderful relaxing experience for a very very long time!! I will probably keep my hair short to keep going back there!

Negative experience: Haircut so good ima wear a hat for 2 weeks. Had to bring in a 2nd barber to fix it

Negative experience: UPDATE: Decided to give the place another shot, and the lady who cut my hair did a pretty awful job. Maybe one of the worst hair cuts I’ve ever received. She rushed through the cut and it shows. The swirl on the crown of my head sits a little funny, and instead of trimming it to sit properly she just shaved it right down so now it’s weirdly short and just sits straight up. Paying $45 for someone to butcher your hair is a bit crazy. ____________________________________________ I’ve had very mixed results here. You can get a really great haircut or a pretty bad one depending on the stylist and the day. My last cut for example, he did a great job at what he did, clearly he was well practiced at a specific kind of fade, it was just unfortunately not the type I wanted (I brought pictures of my previous cuts to show). Didn’t do a scalp massage, nor offer a hot towel that they say is “always included”. Called to have the cut touched up twice to maybe get it closer to what I was looking for, but they said they didn’t have time to fit me in. So I asked to be called back when they could, never heard back. After a few days I gave up since at that point it’s basically a new cut. The time before that with a different barber was the polar opposite.. got exactly what I wanted and she did the other stuff they say they do. So buyers beware. in.

Negative experience: I went to Tommy Gun (Betts ave) 2nd December around 8 PM for the first time, and it will definitely be my last. The haircut I received was unbelievably bad. I clearly asked for a fade, and the learner barber started cutting without any clue what she was doing. The result wasn’t even close to a fade it was uneven, chopped up, and looked like a complete mess. Halfway through, I realized she had no idea how to cut properly, so she called another barber for help. Instead of fixing it, he made it even worse. To make it worse, the service I paid for included a scalp massage and a hot towel finish neither of which I received. When I told the receptionist this was my worst experience, she got angry instead of trying to resolve anything. Then the barber who “fixed” my haircut came over and spoke to me rudely, telling me I should “bear with it” because she’s a learner. Sorry, but this is a business, not a training school, and customers are NOT there to be practice heads. He repeatedly told me to “go ahead and leave a bad review on Google” three times, with a nasty attitude. As I walked out, I saw them laughing like it was all a joke. Completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and downright pathetic. This place is absolutely NOT worth the money.

Negative experience: **RUDEST STAFF EVER** . They need to understand that this is not BARBER SCHOOL. I get that, people learn and they need a start somewhere, but to charge customer confidentaly without let them know that they are learner is not fair. In my last experience, I let the stylist know what kind of cut i want, she proudly said that she get it what i want, without even listening. she just began to cut. and later on when i said thats not how i wanted, she called her team mate and he said she is learner. Upon asking my experience at reception, I told that it was not good experience for me. Listening this, the guy who cut, aggressively yelled at me and said - Do whatever you want to do. This is the business where they care about money more than customer satisfation. They did not even apologies.

Negative experience: I have visited at 20 November and take 4pm appointment when i come and told the receptionist so the receptionist are confused because she have no more barber available but one learner barber available and receptionist(fedra)told her to fo hair and trim and learner barber doesn’t know how to trim they will talk 5 min and suddenly learner barber agree with to do that and after my trim will be doing by another barber so i have a very disappoint with receptionist and barber that you need to understand customer value if barber doesn’t know how to trim then you don’t need to send her with the customer i am very disappoint and the receptionist name is fedra. Very rude behaviour

Negative experience: Worst customer service for Tommy guns in the city! I called a couple weeks ago and some guy with an accent picks up the phone is so rude from the beginning! I told him this haircut was for my transgender daughter who has disabilities and he hangs up! So I call back and he tell me that wasn't me who just called and proceeded to ask me for the same information I just gave him; I ask him whose his manager or whose above him and he was so snotty about it! If you're transgender or have a child with disabilities! This is not the place to go!!! I wish he could of handled it better!!! Horrible person and horrible service!

Positive experience: They do what you need but nothing extraordinary or over the top. The magicuts of the beard world. Not that it's bad, just know what you're going to get. Decent prices for regular things. Wasn't overly happy with my beard trim but it was alright. I'm pretty picky though so it might have been just fine to some. I fixed mine up myself at home. Lady that trimmed my beard was friendly enough, just not sure she had alot of experience.

Negative experience: The hair cut i got was not what I wanted at all. The barber took too much off the top and did not make the sides short enough. I was very disappointed with my hair cut especially since I was only getting it cut to look nice for my grad photos. Was definitely not worth my money, will be going somewhere else next time.

Negative experience: Very displeased by their refund process. I purchased a shampoo for my sensitive scalp. It was priced 23+tax on the shelf but I ended up paying 31 on the counter. The cashier acknowledged that there was a mistake on their system so he will refund the difference to me. But he couldn't do it on that day because the manager was not around. He asked for my phone number and I gave it hoping he will settle it the next day the manager is present. Apparently, he had not done anything yet because I called 4 days later to explain again what happened. Now I am asked to come back to the shop so I can have my refund in a form of a gift card. I know that refund is small but why can't they make the process simple? Why do I need to go to the shop again? They should make this simple because in the first place, I had no fault in this.

Fantastic experience: Stella was fantastic! My son has high-functioning Autism with many sensory issues as well as he is very high energy. Stella reassured him every step of the way and let him see, feel, and hear the clippers before touching him. He left smiling and 5 pounds lighter!

Negative experience: - I didn't want to write this review, but I feel compelled to after paying $80 with a tip for my sons' haircuts. The experience left us feeling unwelcome from the moment we entered tommy guns till the moment we left. - I informed the stylist from the beginning that I wanted both boys (ages 6 and 4) to have short fades, which was all that was needed. However, the stylist proceeded to wash my son’s hair, despite him mentioning that he had just showered before we arrived and that he would be showering when we got home. - But the issue i just couldnt get past is even allowing myself to put up with the poor treatment after remembering why I stopped even bringing my boys to get their haircuts there in the first place. As soon as we walked in I could feel the shade and dirty looks from EVERY single employee working. Once the stylists seen I tipped 10 dollars per haircut then their attitudes switched rather quickly. Their attitudes showed me that no matter what a certain group of people will never be properly accepted at this location.... which is odd since it's on the west end of Saskatoon‍♀️  Please stay clear of this location  unless you appreciate only being treated with respect once you show them a little money first. I did not want to write this but since you asked here it is. I DO NOT want to hear that I am imagining what I experienced yesterday. We were once a frequent visitor of THIS tommy guns location for years and we stopped going last year. It's just too bad that the stylists do such a great job on my children's hair. I will no longer support tommy guns as the disrespect and discrimination outweighs the nice haircuts and enough for me to stay clear.

Negative experience: Multiple visit and absolutely horrible customer service each time. Went for my son hair cut this evening. This was the second time in last 3months. Told Cindy (Barber) that our son is sensitive to sound so please don’t use any trimmers and scissors only and she agreed but was extremely impatient while cutting his hair and kept denying our request to shorten the hair. Her constant reply was “ I am doing my best” and kept refusing our request. All we were expecting from the barber was to be little patient and kind with our 5yr old who was getting uncomfortable because of sensory issues but no she was rushing and just wanted to get done with it. We were not satisfied with the hair cut and the response we got was “I have spent a lot of time cutting with scissors and for safety reasons I can’t continue anymore because I may cut your son or cut myself “ that’s most unprofessional response we have ever heard. She has not even spent 5mins by that time. The same statement was given to us by another barber last time in June. They just don’t want to take time to cut kids hair and start instilling fear that the child will end up getting a cut which is so wrong. After confronting her she calmed down and decided to do what we have been requesting. So why was this not done in the first place and why do we have to put our foot down and stand up against such behavior. Please do not hire such staff who are not confident about their job and just want to get things done fast and are extremely rude and insensitive to the customers need. I’m writing because this happened for the second time now. This is not free service and when we pay for the service least we expect is respect and at least the minimal standards but this experience left us in complete shock. I called the manager Amy and was told will get a callback tomorrow. Photo is when I asked her to blend my beard to my zero fade. This is what I get it.

Fantastic experience: It was a great experience. I was skeptical at first because I didn’t really find a barber who handled my hair properly (I’ve only been in Saskatoon for like 9ish months) but Kelvin spotted what was wrong with it and helped me out. Definitely worth it and I’ll be going there regularly from now on.

Negative experience: Due to lighting I could not see the sides of my head very well as well as for the back of my head, most blotchy and unfaded fade I’ve ever gotten can see the lines in which the person cutting hair did not blend, so so very unsatisfied

Fantastic experience: Went and booked Matt for the first time because of all the good reviews I’ve seen. I went in and he started a nice convo with me and asked me what I wanted when I sat down. I told him I was tired of getting bad haircuts and told him what I usually got, then asked what he thought and he gave me an opinion. I told him go for whatever he thinks and he made my hair look good for the first time. Even offered me a drink at the end of the haircut. 10/10 and I plan on going to him from now on.

Positive experience: We go all the time and the treatment by the works is always polite.

Negative experience: They absolutely butchered my sons hair, I’ve never seen him more upset. Yeah hair grows back but if you can’t do the haircut he wanted then say something, don’t just do whatever you want to someone hair!!

Negative experience: Worst haircut I ever had. First I didn’t notice then I noticed one side my hair trimmed more but other side is not.

Negative experience: Tommy guns is ok if you only want your hairs cut. If you book for a shave or anything else good luck. I am shooting low percentages with Tommy guns doing what I ask. Such a waste of time, I still have to finish the job myself. What's the point of going back.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, bumped our time twice. I showed a picture and explained my son ws growing his hair out on top. Barber cut it less than an inch short... and when I went to check on it was too late. I wasn't rude at all and asked my son said did you want it this short? she was defensive and started fighting with me infront of everyone. I paid and tried to leave immediately. She shouldn't be allowed around children. My son is so disappointed. This place is a joke.

Negative experience: Used to love taking my kids to this location for haircuts.....unfortunately I will not be returning anymore. They have started to hire staff who act oddly different to make customers feel uncomfortable. Also, one of the employees thought it was a good idea to unplug the arcade machine while I stepped away from it for a second with my son. Not sure what they accomplished by doing that, but oh well.

Negative experience: I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this was probably one of the worst experiences I've ever had getting my hair cut. The barber was very rough and seemed to only care about getting the hair cut done as fast as possible while trying to still look cool, throwing and catching his clippers every 30 seconds. He was going in with the clippers almost aggressively, basically hitting me in the head and pulling my hair with the clippers. I wasn't sure how short I wanted it on top so rather than cut and ask if I wanted more off, he cut barely cut any off the top and immediately styled it, throwing so much product in, my hair felt greasy. He did cut it shorter after I mentioned it, though. Overall, not impressed with the service and am not sure if I'll be going back.

Negative experience: It is so upsetting and I am so displeased tonight. We went ahead of time of our scheduled appointment at 8 pm. The lady told us to wait 15 minutes and I just said okey. I waited patiently with my son who really needs a haircut. Its already 820 and no one bothers to say something because it will take a lil longer. I went up to the lady again and ask. She told me not much longer. But its already 830 pm. We booked an appointment in order for us to manage our time as we need to run more stuff after the haircut. I totally understand that things like this happens but if only they gave us a call that they need to adjust the time then it would be appreciated. Our time was just wasted for nothing. I came up to the lady again but she is not visible anymore Im pretty sure she is at the back. I said excuse me for like 4 times and they are just busy. The lady who is supposed to do the haircut is not done yet so meaning we need to stay longer. I ended up cancelling the booking. Its nonsense when you do the booking and it was accepted but was not delivered….

Negative experience: I've been going for years but told today that they have discontinued the stamp card to get a free hair cut after 10. The price has been increased a lot in the last few years but they can't keep a system to keep and reward loyal customers.

Fantastic experience: The staff is amazing. I usually see Amy, although she was not in today. Cindy cut my hair this visit. These ladies will greet you with a welcoming smile and a "how are ya?" Their expertise and inviting conversations will leave you left nothing less than satisfied! The scalp massage and scented hair product will make you feel rejuvenated and relaxed. I've never had a bad experience at this location and will be a returning customer any time I need a haircut. Huge thanks to this establishment and the amazing work they do. Shoutout to Amy and Cindy for the amazing customer service and a welcoming experience that'll make you want to come see them every time. I'll always recommend either one of these ladies to anyone who needs a great cut at a good price!

Negative experience: I've been going here for years now, haircut is almost always good, sometimes better than others but I've never had a bad cut from them. Unfortunately a haircut or beard trim is the only thing I can recommend. Went in this time wanting to do some color in my hair and beard to cover up some grey that I've got going on. The color may have softened up the gray a little but it certainly didn't cover anything. For the price, I won't be having them do that again and I can't honestly recommend anyone else use them for that service.

Positive experience: First cut I got months ago was great Exsctly what I wanted and the barber was rea nice too and she watched the video of the haircut I wanted and was asking precise questions about it, just got a cut two days ago and she didn’t even pay attention to anything I had to say, showed her the same pcitures and then tried talking into detail about it and she was just interrupting me and I tried showing her the video and she just was like ok ok and just gave me a terrible cut, genuinely the worst cut of my life, she does not deserve to cal herself a barber, blonde hair woman with an accent just sayin yall
