Negative experience: I came in needing a haircut for the holidays. I saw the good reviews and I’m from out of town and had some extra time in the city so I decided to get my hair cut. The place looked good and it was clean but my haircut was horrible. Looked nothing like what I wanted(in a bad way) and I couldn’t really understand what the person doing my hair was saying so I showed a photo and it looked nothing like that ether. I am very unhappy with my hair and I did not get the experience I was hoping for so I strongly do not recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: Update! Abdel reached out to me regarding my cut and told me to come back into the shop to have it fixed. I went back in 2 days later and saw Mustapha. He had a look and fixed it up for me, it was an attention to detail thing and he realized it was not okay. If you want someone who cares about how you feel about your hair, I recommend Abdel and Mustapha. I will definitely return to see Mustapha again! I went in for an undercut upkeep plus additional removal of the sides to bring it up. Later on in the evening after having my hair washed, I had clumps of hair fall out. I didn’t think anything of it until I look at the line where the short hair meets the long hair. I have a little bald spot on the side of my head that I now have to grow out awkwardly in order for it to properly meet the rest. The other side has so pretty long hairs still that I had to trim with scissors. I really wanted to love this place. The atmosphere and the guys there were amazing and polite. I’m just not happy with how my hair turned out, quite upset about the bald spot even if one says it’s minor. I now have to live with it until it grows out :/

Positive experience: The haircut was good I think there was some miscommunication though. I asked for a buzzcut (which was done correctly). However, I also asked for my beard to quickly be buzzed off as well. Normally this is done for free as it’s quick and straightforward. Today the barber took a bit longer but I think it’s because he used a different kind of shaver. Anyhow, I ended up paying for a regular haircut instead of buzzcut. I think some transparency around this would be beneficial - had I known there was an extra fee I would have just done it myself at home. I didn’t want to make a big deal at the time, but I think more transparency is always good so as to avoid hidden costs.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE 2: Went for a second haircut and the owner Mustapha cut my hair. He did a great job and really seemed to care that I had a good experience. A lot of places could blow you off after a subpar experience but this place did not do that. I can recommend them. UPDATE: After speaking to the owner, they were apologetic and seemed to care about the issue. That's really all you can ask of a business after the fact and I appreciate it. Kat seems to have been unaware of the issue at the time of the cut so I won't hold that against her either. Mistakes happen. ORIGINAL: Overall I was mostly happy with the haircut I got from Kat. She did a good job following the picture I showed her. If that was all I’d give them 4-5 stars. What I was really unhappy about was that she shredded the back of my head/neck pretty badly. I felt some pain and pinching during the cut but paid it no mind at the time. Nor did she show me the back of my haircut before I left which felt strange. When I was on my way home, the back of my head and neck started to ache. At home I usually rinse my hair post-haircut to get any loose hairs and this was when I found out the hard way that the back of my head was red and sore. The shampoo burned so bad. I’ve been cut by accident before, mistakes happen, no problem. But this was a big area that was shredded and I’ve never had this happen after hundreds of haircuts before. And that sucks because I was really happy with the cut before I got to inspect the damage at home. Now I will be applying ointment for a few days.

Negative experience: I'm literally here waiting for a my appointment for a hair cut but they took a guy that came in after me and then when other chairs opened up they didn't even ask me if I'm ready. I'm like a ghost sitting here. What's the point of booking appointments if your still waiting after your time and they help others before your time slot and skip you totally while your in the building waiting. Won't be coming back anytime soon. Waiting over 30 mins past my appointment time and skipped completely till I just left the store!

Negative experience: Unfortunately I had a bad experience this was my first and last visit. I had an appointment on Sunday 10 Aug and the guy was in rush to cut and just go. I shared my previous hair cut photos with him but he just messed up my hairs and even after saying him to stop or cut less he was doing work his way only. Also, to give a hair border cut with razor they charge u extra! Classic hair cut - 31.5$

Negative experience: Rip off place they sell you products that make a person ill but they won't exchange or return. Asked to speak to the owner numerous times no reply no contact whatsoever. Folks beware. Not to mention their prices are sky high compared to other shops

Negative experience: Very upsetting experience. My cut was rushed and uneven I had to come back to have them fix it. Mustafa was rude and insulted me, I asked for a refund and he got offended and disrespectful. I asked not to trim the sides of my head and he began to fade it, he also trimmed my mustache too short and lined my beard up with diagonal line that looks horrible. He also shortened my beard without asking( again uneven)

Fantastic experience: We had never been but needed a last minute cut for our 4 and 6 year old boys. The establishment was clean and professional. The two gentleman that did the cuts were great with the boys and made it fun and easy. They asked for our input the entire time and cut both differently depending on their hair. You'll notice Abdel pays attention to small details when cutting your hair: checking alignment, cutting strays, getting just the write look. He leaves you with a spritz of some sort of nice spray, styles your hair, and provides recommendations on what cut could suit your look. He's friendly and fills the time while cutting your hair. Fantastic experience: If anyone is in need of a stylist to get their hair styled for a wedding or a big event I highly recommend Vaishali. Coming in from Edmonton i needed my hair styled for my sons wedding in Saskatoon. I randomly picked Premium 1 Barbershop from a search and read some reviews which lead me to Vaishali’s short bio. She is exceptional. Her communication with me was amazing first texting me welcoming me to the barbershop and then texting me to confirm my appointment. Coming from out of town this made me feel at ease knowing my appointment was confirmed and that i was her priority. She then texted a few days before my appointment asking me what i was looking for so that she could be prepared. I sent her a couple styles for her to review so that we waisted no time. As she was doing my hair she kept me in the know of how the back of my hair looked letting me look into the hand held mirror as she continued to style ensuring that she was on the right track for the style i was looking for. She was honest and shared simple home remedies and oils for dealing with dryness. As a new comer, she also extended to help in any way she could. Very easy to talk to.
