Fantastic experience: I booked an appointment six months in advance for my groomsmen and myself to get haircuts, beard trims, and hot shaves on the morning of my wedding. Paige was kind enough to open the shop early for us and welcomed both our photographer and videographer. The team had us all looking sharp, finished everything on time, and helped set the tone for a great start to the day. I really appreciate the effort and planning they put in to make sure everything ran smoothly. It made the experience not only stress-free but genuinely memorable.

Negative experience: My son was super excited to get his first hair tattoo, I booked an appointment and made sure to tell them on the phone it was for a fade and tattoo. We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment and we're offered beverages but we sat for 15 mins past our appointment time without anyone letting us know like "hey were a little behind but this is who your stylist is and it'll be this long" the hairstylist tried telling my baby to stop touching what he was touching (my keys and idc, it was keeping him happy and quiet) you mind your business when it comes to others children. Then when she came to get my son for his haircut she said she couldn't do and/or didn't have time to do the hair tattoo requested when I booked his appointment and was very rude about it, didn't offer to do a quicker simpler design or to rebook us. My brother called me shortly after leaving here and said he used to use them but stopped because his barber was talking shit about other clients to him. This was an uncomfortable, disappointing and frustrating waste of time going here.

Fantastic experience: Of the few times I've gone, they've all been absolutely stellar. The barbers go through everything thoroughly with you, and will do things in a way where it feels very personal and enjoyable. It feels like they actually give a damn about you when you go here. You can also order a drink while you wait if you're feeling inclined, which is a nice bonus. I only book with Tawny and I can't recommend her enough. She will have you feeling like a million bucks every single time!

She knows exactly what you’re talking about when you say “do this” or “do it this way”… from weird duck tales, to odd shaped crowns, or even hairlines pushed back… she’s got you covered! Best barber in Saskatoon hands down!

Very cool environment, welcoming and friendly staff, great drinks, and they offer a huge variety of services. They were super professional, and made the whole experience pretty relaxing! Negative experience: My husband went there and got his hair cut and beard cut and it was TERRIBLE!!! His beard is completely uneven and the neck line looks like a 5 year old did it and his hair is even worse! I do not recommend this place at all!

Fantastic experience: Bourbon is my go to place for my monthly haircut. The environment is always welcoming, smiles all around. Tawny is my usual hair stylist. She is always keen on answering my plethora of questions about hair, being a barber and more. It is nice to have a regular barber as they really get to know your hair type and specifically what you are after. I will be coming here for as long as I am in town!

Negative experience: The girl on the phone was very disappointing. I called for a walk in haircut to see if they had time. Everything was fine til she asked for my name. When I told her she very rudely told me they do men's cuts. I told her I wanted a men's haircut and she seemed hesitant on the phone when I told her I'm non binary she had nothing to really say all together. It was a very disrespectful experience overall do not recommended

Negative experience: I was a regular here for years. Recently came back after some time away. I learnt that this place is not what it used to be. The staff were nice enough, and seemingly did the best they could which kept me calm after watching the hack job performed on me. However I had to go to Tommy Guns to have my hair fixed afterwards.

Negative experience: Terrible. The new owner is a dud. Lost all of our business. Update: the eyebrow trim received was awful. Two totally different eyebrow shapes and one side is a different lengthy than the other. What are you going to do about that?! Go in for eyebrow trim and out with messed up brows???

Negative experience: Worst haircut ever. Ultra cuts would do better than this place. I had higher expectations. She messed up my hair line and went to far back. The back of my head wasn’t even blended in,I made her go over it a few times. And she ended up going too high and short. No straight blade line up.. She had to get another person to fix it but the damage was done. The guy working reception said it looked fine lol. And he said that every barber is different styles??!!?!! I said it should be how I want it. And I also told her I wanted a skin fade. But I guess she must have forgotten lol. Worst experience and rookies working there.

Fantastic experience: Can't say enough good things about this place. Got a great haircut, had an delicious drink at the bar before hand, the vibe is fantastic and I will definitely be a regular here! Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this barbershop for years now. Always loved it. I had my first experience with the new ownership, I was a bit nervous about such a great establishing changing owners, but my nerves were settled as soon as I met the owner! Great new ownership and stuff. Melissa took care of my beard, she was incredibly friendly amd did such a good Job. The front desk worker, Marko was also incredible! Very comfortable and happy that one of my favorite establishments in the city is still In VERY good hands. Thanks guys! I'll be back soon!

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with exceptional service. I got a haircut and beard trim, along with a dye job for both, and the results were fantastic. A big shoutout to Chantal, the manager, for her incredible skills and attention to detail. She really made the experience stand out. The ambiance of the place strikes the perfect balance between luxury and comfort, creating an inviting vibe. Negative experience: Too bad they don't sell gift cards. Went in to buy $200 worth, and was told very rudely "We don't do gift cards, Hun" as she walked away leaving me standing at counter. Lost my business, as well as potential future customers.

Fantastic experience: Exactly what I was looking for; a badass venue, small but professional staff, and excellent service. As soon as I walked in the door, I had full confidence in their abilities, and am very happy with the scissor cut I received. I had to book a week in advance to get in (they said they are often booked solid with regular clients), so make sure to book ahead of time via their website. Thank you ladies!

Fantastic experience: Editing this review as they've changed their business model as of late 2021: They have switched to being invite only. Old review: I've been getting my haircuts at this place for almost two years and every time I go, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Cody usually cuts my hair and he has done an outstanding job every time. Literally no complaints. Their post-reopening health and safety measures are well thought through and very clear and easy for patrons to follow. Haircuts were kind of a chore before I found this place but now I look forward to them!

Fantastic experience: Arguably the best haircut I've ever had. That's subjective though, depends how you communicate and how they receive your message. Apart from that, the atmosphere is terrific with the recent renovations, very warm and welcoming. The staff is accommodating and knowledgable, and I cannot recommend the service enough. Fantastic experience: I've been going to bourbon barbershop for 7 years now, I couldn't ask for a better people who know how to help me with my hair! This is important: My short hair is really difficult. It grows in such a way that it's really difficult to move and style if it isn't cut correctly (cowlicks and fine hair), plus I need the right product strength to style my hair. I had no clue that short hair could look good because I never had a barber like the wonderful people that work at Bourbon. Before going to Bourbon my short hair looked horrible, so I stuck to growing my hair neck long to avoid it. They're experts there's no doubt about that! Very friendly people, they have a bar with drinks, soda and coffee to keep you accommodated. A lot of work went into the amazing atmosphere this place has, look at the pictures on their website and you'll see what I'm talking about. I'll be going here for many more years to come!

I ended up blocking them, so I guess I won't be booking here anymore. I don't support spammers. "I was trying to send you invitation to booking platform". That's not spamming? Fantastic experience: This has been the place I've been going to for multiple years with my father. They never disappoint for amazing haircuts. Even helped me get my new hair style and helped me maintain it with tips from the Barbour, didn't know how to tie my hair and the lady who cut my hair shown me how, and other types of tying. The owner Chantel is amazing she's extremely nice to talk to and funny as hell. She's been very respectful and kind to my father and I same with all the other employees I've had. The employees are both professional and open people. The inside interior speaks for itself, very clean, well spaced, and the bar is great, water, soda, to liquor. Amazing decoration and the products you can buy are great too, good price included on top of that. The shower and head massage is beyond amazing, comfortable chairs even being on the hefty and tall side. I hope to get an appointment as soon as I get home from work!

Fantastic experience: I try to come here every month and I always end up with a really nice fade. Mel and the other barbers are really nice to talk to and have gave me really good advice. One day i scrapped another car and the receptionist helped me clear it up with the other car owner. Thank you to that receptionist, unfortunately i never got her name.

Negative experience: Tried to explain the poor experience I had with a person and they said it doesn't matter because they are going private soon. I've been there a hand full of times and it was good this last time I will never go there again and suggest no else does either. Update ! I didn't ask for a haircut or a free hair cut. I called to explain that my brother who was not satisfied with his haircut or the service. If they listened all I want to tell them was the hairdresser was rough told MY brother he was not allowed to talk and when we arrived early like we were asked! When he arrived the first thing she said hurry up you're already late. Ofcourse he's not gonna say anything to your face he was SCARED ! 10 OUT OF 10 DO NOT GO HERE

Negative experience: Not a shave club experience. Kids running around, not offered a drink from the bar. For a $100.00 shave and haircut it should have been a relaxing experience. Seemed rushed even though I booked time online, stylist did a good job but missed out on my cut requests. No shampoo or after cut wash either. I had higher expectations for a Barbershop Shave Club.Back to UltraCut for me I guess. Cheers.

Fantastic experience: I was in for a beard trim 2 days ago, I try to go get a trim every 2 to 3 weeks. I would recommend Maddy if you are looking, she is so friendly and she does such a great job! This last trim was the best so far! I just got a beard trim and it was great. They are doing a wonderful job creating an atmosphere that is both comfortable and safe in this new world.

The barber, Taylor, was super friendly and explained everything to me that she was doing since I have only had 1 other barber before coming here. Great staff, great environment and good set up to follow Covid protocols. Highly recommended and will definitely be returning for future cuts

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Bourbon for a couple years now. Every time I walk in I can't help but smile. All the barbers are so kind and welcoming, I would feel comfortable getting my cut but any one of the workers. It is such a comfortable atmosphere and it almost feels like a second home at this point. My hair looks awesome, I have such a better knowledge about products, and I can grab a drink for such a good price. I would recommend Bourbon to anyone!

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Found out it’s a shop for men and wanted to cancel the appointment while parked outside. The person on the phone is extremely rude, and knew I canceled because I’m not a man, still yelled at me terribly and hanged up on me. Extremely rude. - update for your massive reply: I did not call to cancel. Just called to make sure if you could do hair for women. If you offered to trim my hair instead of yelling and hanging up on me, YOU WOULD HAVE EARNED MY MONEY. Your employees would do a better job feeding the families if they learn to be nice to potential customers instead of yelling at them. And you should get your customers’ names right.

Fantastic experience: Was my first time getting a cut here and all I have to say is positive things, first off I was blown away by the incredibly pleasant hospitality and talent of my hairdresser/stylist Jackie! She made sure I was 100% satisfied in my cut. Not to mention the in-shop bar which added a great twist to what would be an otherwise ordinary haircut, the TVs play current sports; AND they’re open later than most other places on Saturdays, perfect for working tradesmen who get off work at later hours, the manager there runs a good ship

I went to get my haircut, and asked for a cut the girl I was booked with wasn’t familiar with, the owner Chantal did it for me instead and coloured my hair for free aswell! Best haircut of my life aswell! If you haven’t tried this place you’re missing out! Better than going to Tommy guns or Sportsclips by a mile!

Fantastic experience: First time using Bourbon to get my hair cut. I thought Cody was very professional, did a great job, and we even had a nice chat in the process. Even gave me some pretty great styling tips I hadn't thought of before. Very impressed. I'd recommend them for sure.

Negative experience: First time there. Was given a gift certificate as a gift so gave it a try. Booked online and showed up early. Was checked in by the owner and made to wait at the "bar". I sat there for 20 min past my appointment thinking, okay they're just busier than usual. No harm. After 30 min I'm just about to lose patience when I get a call on my cell phone from the owner. Literally standing right beside me, she's calling me to complain that I'm not here for my appointment. Sorted that out and got in a chair. Stylist not overly helpful. Cut was mediocre. Atmosphere is cliche and boring which could be forgiven if service and cut weren't lacking. Was only given a $5 off next visit card. Not a great first impression.

Positive experience: Nice place but I was not fully satisfied with my haircut! I have had many better haircuts before. The staff are polite and friendly, I may go there again and maybe I should explain more and help the hairdresse.

Fantastic experience: I was looking for a short notice beard trim, and I was able to get booked in within 30mins of my call - awesome! It was a bit of a trek from my house (I'm on the eastside) but well worth it. Tilly was awesome. She trimmed my beard exactly how I wanted it, gave me some suggestions for self care, and was very pleasant to deal with. I will be back.

Fantastic experience: I went for a haircut today and was blown away by the service as usual. They run a clean, professional shop and follow proper COVID procedures. I have been looking for a new haircut place and I think I have found it and will definitely make it my normal place from now on. Mikalya is an excellent barber did an 10/10 job on the hair. 10/10 on the service as well.

Fantastic experience: So we had introduced Cody to my lil Grimlin Zachery he's 2 and a half years old. While getting ready for or sons 3rd haircut sonething triggered my son and he went on a scream fest. We tried having him sit with me (dad) and he still continued to scream. Fantastic experience: I normally just get a buzz cut with a fade. But today I wanted something a bit different and today I entrusted Mikayla with a new style. Not only is she very friendly but very talented. After my fresh new haircut I also got a hot shave. Which was immensely relaxing. I'll definitely be back again. Superb experience overall.

Fantastic experience: They always give me a top quality hair cut and beard trim and I've had my hair cut by probably most of the staff there. It's all good from the basic cuts to the hot towel and straight razor shaves. Always an Aladeen experience.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO. Called ahead asking if staff was capable of a "High Fade". An extremely standard cut. Chantal assured me of a certain staff member. Not only did I end up with a MOHAWK, it took 45 minutes, my beard was shaved with the wrong tool, and when leaving Chantal still needed the full 45 dollars. I had been a customer for a long time and chantal knew what I was supposed to get. Bad environment, overpriced, and full of incapable staff.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic barber shop! The staff are really good at what they do and always friendly! The atmosphere is awesome with lots of great blues music, and a really good rustic feel! Been using them exclusively for 3 years now. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: Been to Bourbon twice now; both times very pleased with results. Mikayla is fantastic. She listened, commented, and made sure she knew what I wanted. Got scissor cut and watched how precise each snip was. I asked for a lot to come off - given how exacting she was I was surprised how much came off so quickly. Mikayla also trimmed beard from crazed lumberjack to stylish man about town. Again neat and precise. Highly recommend Mikayla. Very professional neat tidy and meets my wife's high standards.

Fantastic experience: i am glad to have went here. this barber shop had kind & professional staff, well thought out decor, and efficient management. my barber was Tawny and she gave me exactly what i asked for. extra time was spent to make sure i was completely satisfied. highly recommend.

Negative experience: Phone representative was incredibly rude consistently while I came here; the barber I seen was quite good though. I can’t give more than one star because of the awful front desk service but will say you will most likely get a good haircut here in all fairness.

Fantastic experience: Got me in for an appointment right away, my hairdresser was very thorough to make sure she was doing exactly what I wanted - even though I didn't have a clue what half of her questions were - she did a great job & more importantly, my girlfriend liked the haircut.

Fantastic experience: I Love going to bourbon as they are all welcoming, especially going to see Karla. When going to see her I never regret to see what she has in store, she is always willing to take feedback. I have been going to her for years and the only one I trust with my hair because she will never let you make a bad decision on what to do with your hair, if the hair cut doesn’t work with your face. I never knew what to do with my hair when I want a change. She always has an idea that will fit me and my needs. She is amazing for girls that don’t know what to do; she always knows what would work or gives an idea. She is amazing when getting a haircut; you can talk about everything and doesn’t make it awkward. Bourbon is also reasonably prices; I highly suggest bourbon and trying out there specialist.

Fantastic experience: Excellent barbershop! Always a friendly welcome and offer of a complementary beverage on arrival. Lots of chairs and skilled barbers to cut and style to your desires. Tilly, especially, is excellent and does amazing beard work. I'd highly recommend her for all your beard trim needs.
