Negative experience: Wasn’t open at 10am despite opening time showing as 9am… very disappointed as I’d lugged my two little kids out in 38 degree heat to get a hair cut only to find it wasn’t even open..

Negative experience: If you love your hair then please dont go he made my hair as hell

Negative experience: TLDR: Worst haircut of my life! I don't get my haircut much anymore due to having little hair, but with a new job approaching and me having let my beard grow out (too long to shave with just a razor) I thought I would treat myself to a haircut, the simplest haircut, number 0 Buzz cut head and beard. How can you mess this up? Waited around for ages (this was somewhat expected, but only 1 customer ahead of me and it took about 30 mins to fully style his hair). Finally got in, guy took 10 mins, didn't shave my beard neck completely, No chit chat, which was the only positive and the sole reason for the 1 star on this review. The barber had someone they obviously knew floating around the shop (Waiting for a haircut? no idea, name was not on the board). Spent time chatting to him when doing my haircut. I got the feeling he was rushing with me, to get on to his 'mate'. Also cut my neck (with an electric razor!)...no mention of this or a simple sorry. (I'm not sure why but several barber boys shops in my area seem to have 'friends' come in and get special treatment or considerations. Its pretty obvious and shady as hell.) Overall cost $46. for a 10 min buzz cut. I mean, I probably wouldn't complain about the price if he had at least done a decent job, but it was terrible. Had to jump in the shower and use a razor to tidy the whole thing up. DO.NOT.RECOMMEND. *EDIT* just remembered...the barber I have been to in the city (not barber boys) has charged me $25 for the same treatment in the past and did a FAR superior job. *EDIT 2* See response below. To be fair I had previously (some time ago) had good haircuts from this location, presumably when it was under the direct management of Barber Boys.

Since going to Barber Boys Hilton roughly 1 year ago, Thomas has shown his passion and skills and always pays attention to detail. His customer service, skills and enthusiasm is exceptional and I could not recommend him enough!

Fantastic experience: Honestly I thought the place was overpriced at first but it is worth every dollar. Thomas is best at his job and does the best skin fade with great detailing. I am not much of a chatter but he is friendly and breaks a conversation and suggests best products for your hair as well. Do give them a try.

But as I walked past The Barber Boys at Hilton on my way home from the shops, decided to go in to see what they were like. Thomas was friendly and welcoming and made me feel comfortable from the get go. As an older guy (without a lot of hair these days), I was dubious about how a young barber with a trendy cut could give me a haircut that would suit me and make me feel better about myself. But Thomas was exceptional. He listened to what I needed and went above and beyond to make sure that I not only looked and felt good about the end result, but demonstrated that he is passionate about his chosen career path. Thomas told me his story about how he came to become a barber and I have no doubt that he is on the right path. Great conversation, great service, great cut and great recommendations on products to use and how to style my hair. Thanks Thomas for a great customer experience and haircut. I'll be back!

Positive experience: First couple of time were spot on by the young lad. Never written a review ever but was not happy with the rushed haircut, no care given. Would not recommend going if you get the female. Poor attitude. Very disappointed with the effort. Seem like she picks and chooses who's hair she puts effort into. I'll go back but I'll wait for young guy next time. Funny enough a guy waiting before me said I could cut line. Now I know why.

Positive experience: I haven't actually had hair cut here but I've watched lots men young and old as I sit in cafe nearby and they do good job some very modern different styles and classic ones too.

Negative experience: Welcome to the slowest barbers in the world. No appointment-barbers should be skilled enough to be much faster, as you aren’t washing hair nor having to manage an appointment book. Each cut took 30-40 minutes! No shaves or special cuts, just regular cuts. The actual cuts are okay, but nothing worth waiting almost an hour for. The owner of the shop is a gun though, much faster and great styles. Either employ actual barbers, not hairdressers, or hire an extra staff member. (Especially stay away if the the female barber is there). Tip: try cracking a smile or having an energy about you. People pay good money and waste a lot of time waiting... so at least pretend to be happy.

Negative experience: Said please wait for 25 minutes, ended with waiting for more than 40 minutes.

Negative experience: Hair cuts are good but the management is terrible. They have three chairs, 1 barber and a mass of people waiting everytime I've tried to go in the last 2 months.

Negative experience: Made my hair total mess. the lady doing hair cut was rude and unprofessional. Visiting them will make your day nightmare.
