Positive experience: Hisham (French Barber) did a great job. Patient, attentive, and professional. That standard should be recognised. Sadly he was publicly undermined by a teammate in front of clients, that doesn’t reflect well on the shop. Respect and encouragement build stronger businesses than ego ever will.

Negative experience: Was having a great day last Thursday, when I thought I might go get a trim. I walked into the shop with high hopes and thought i could trust these guys. Boy was I wrong. I showed him a reference photo of a low taper and its almost like he completley ignored it. He had curly hair, young man and some muscle on him. Off rip he proceeded to man handle me and grip my head with all his strength. He then shaved away all my happiness and I immediatley starting frowning. I said a bit off the top and he went and took all I had left. He even had the audacity to let me walk out with curtains after asking for a fringe. Never coming back to this joke off an establishment, 0 stars is an understatement.

Being a tourist, I thought it might be hard to explain what I wanted, but Kevin listened carefully and did exactly what I asked for. Negative experience: Be careful, price scam. The first two times I came here, I was cut by two different women who were very nice and friendly. The third time, the welcome was awful. Barely a hello and a very cold attitude. I understood that it was the owner of the shop. I observed how he behaved with everyone and it was very clear that everything was about money. No emotion, no care for the customer. You are just money to him. He cut my hair. Nothing to complain about the haircut itself. It was very simple. I have a mohawk. You just shave the sides to zero and do not touch the top. Nothing could be easier. Then at the checkout I was told the price was almost 80 dollars. How is it possible to pay 80 dollars just to shave the sides and nothing else. Especially when the two previous times I was charged 35 dollars by the women. I calmly explained that I usually pay 35 dollars. He told me it was not possible. I insisted, saying it was true and that I was not lying. He kept saying it was not possible and got annoyed very quickly. He was already not friendly at all, but it became even worse. I stayed very calm and kept insisting. Because there were people around listening, he finally gave in and charged me 35 dollars, but with a very bad attitude and speaking to me very rudely. This is clearly the last time I come here. I was treated like a liar, but I have proof with photos of my bank statements showing that I paid 35 dollars each time. He clearly tried to scam me, especially since when I look at the price list, nothing is close to 80 dollars. Be careful. I will never go back and I have warned people around me to avoid others getting scammed.

Negative experience: Went in at 4pm Wednesday afternoon. I got referred by a friend. I asked for a zero mid fade, blended sides on the top and just a tidy up. The barber's attitude was not professional, too relaxed and eating gum. Being an Asian I have straight hair, so it is quite hard. But he didn't pay any attention to detail and did a cookie cutter haircut. When he was about to pick up the mirror, I said, "are you done already?" My sides were uneven, not blended, and I wasn't impressed by the top. He gave me a confused look and I told him that the sides were uneven. I will need to get this fixed. I won't be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I visited 2 Brothers Traditional Barbers at the Uptown Center in Brisbane City for a haircut, shave, and head wash — and honestly, the experience was nothing short of phenomenal. The moment I walked in, the place felt cozy, warm, and comforting. There’s a real sense of tradition blended with modern style, and the atmosphere immediately puts you at ease. The team is incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, which explains why they consistently receive such high ratings from hundreds of happy customers. I was looked after by Melissa, and she was exceptional. She took the time to listen carefully to what I wanted, asked the right questions, and made sure she understood the style I was aiming for. Her attention to detail was impressive — you can tell she has a wealth of experience and genuine passion for her craft. At no point did I feel rushed or like she was trying to move on to the next client. Instead, she worked patiently, thoughtfully, and with real precision. The haircut, shave, and head wash were all done to perfection. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and extremely satisfied with the result. It’s rare to find a barber that combines skill, atmosphere, and customer care at this level.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience today. I returned because I was happy with my first haircut from Okan, but this time I was assigned to a different male stylist, and the result was shocking. The haircut was completely uneven and poorly done, with no sense of balance or attention to detail. Perhaps because there were two male customers waiting behind me, the usual shaving service (such as a steam towel) was not provided at all, and after the cut, he didn’t even bother to brush off the hair basic finishing that should be standard. To be honest, the haircut is so bad that I feel uncomfortable even going out like this. It honestly crossed my mind that shaving my head at home would be better than keeping it in this condition. I did make a complaint at the time, but the only response I received was a simple “sorry,” with no explanation, no attempt to fix the issue, and no sign of responsibility. Leaving service aside, I am shocked that someone with this level of skill is working as a designer. Because my first experience here was good, this visit was even more disappointing. I will never return to this place again. Please be aware that the quality can vary drastically depending on the stylist.

Negative experience: The absolute worst barber, reviews have got to be bought... I asked for a zero fade, paid the full 48$ and got a half assed haircut: absolutely gutted this is what I’ll be looking like this Christmas. The dude did half of my head up past my natural part line.. and half the other half is barely faded. He used thinning scissors for all fade portions. This place doesn’t know how to cut hair. STAY AWAY! Feel free to reach out if you want photo proof!!

(The shop is in the mall next-door) The young man was friendly, professional and was quick to accommodate my wheelchair. It was one of the best beard trim/saves I’ve had. Negative experience: Asked for the sides to be trimmed slightly to a 4 blade and to keep the top of my hair long and blended into the sides. Immediately after telling him what I wanted he buzzed right to the top without any pause (any higher and he might as well give me a buzzcut) and the damage was done. And if you thought why not stop him there, he had cut so high and so much with one buz there was no turning back. I have never gotten a haircut where the barber hasn't double checked with me the length or that they understood correctly what I asked before cutting my hair. Besides that, I would assume the implication of keeping the top of my hair long would imply that the top remain long not buzzed all the way up. He did not even attempt a two block which would have been a valid assumption he just buzzed right to the top removing all length. Mid way through the haircut after I had re-established that I wanted the top long or at least as long as what his first mistake would allow, he tried to cut the top even shorter and I had to stop him straight away or else there'd be nothing left. He even managed to buzz the back higher than the sides which I didn't not notice till he showed me in the mirror, it's so short my hair now permanently sticks straight up. Later he mentioned that I needed more weight to keep my hair down, meaning he knew my hair needed to be longer and cut it short anyways, again that's why i asked for my hair to be kept long. Very disappointed with the service, especially with all the positive reviews about attentive and quality barbers who quoting reviews take the time to understand what the client wanted. Would expect this rushed and thoughtless treatment from a $10 barber not a $50 one.

Negative experience: Been going here a little while and then got my hair massacred today. Haircut took 15 mins - in all my 30 years of adult life, worst ever

Fantastic experience: Came in with a rough idea of what I wanted, but my instructions were vague and largely unhelpful. Even with those barriers, my barber gave me one of the best cuts I've ever had. Skillful, patient and tasteful. If I lived in Brisbane, 2 Brothers would easily be regular. Gutted I don't live here.

Negative experience: Mate, I don’t get this barbershop. They’ve got a cashier there doin nothin like a mannequin talking loud I dunno what, cause every time the bloody phone rings, the bloke cuttin’ my hair has to drop everything and answer it. Then someone walks in askin a question, and the cashier’s got no clue, so the barber’s stoppin’ my haircut again to deal with ‘em. Fair dinkum, it’s doin my head in can’t even get a clean haircut without stoppin every five minutes dang frustrating. Don’t reckon ya even need a cashier.

Negative experience: The amount of stress I got today and the past week every time I come for a haircut in this place is massive. The lady cashier is very noisy and keeps talking to the barbers. The music is already loud and they are keep on talking specially the cashier.

Negative experience: I visited this place on Thursday, July 3, 2025, and I absolutely do not recommend it. They charged me $60 for a fade that was poorly done. The result was very disappointing and nowhere near what you’d expect for that price. The service quality is similar to that of a low-end barber. Probably the worst barber in the CBD I’ve ever been to. Avoid at all costs

The manager here was an absolute legend – kind, calm, and genuinely shocked at what we’d been charged $40 for. He made my son feel totally at ease, reassured him the bad cut wasn’t on us, and even complimented our eye for a good style. He fixed it up perfectly – my son walked out smiling and loving his hair again. Even gave us a discount since we'd already forked out for the dodgy cut earlier. Such a warm, friendly vibe – can’t thank them enough! 10/10.
