Fantastic experience: Hamish has been cutting my 3yo hair for almost a year now. Hamish is very patient, & somehow manages to do a great job with my kid wriggling and looking around. He can sit and watch a show and always looks forward to the apple juice and lollipop treat included. The team there are so lovely and welcoming. I usually ask for the music to be turned down a little to protect young ears, and it’s never an issue.

Negative experience: Worst haircut I have ever gotten I asked for a little trim and a blow out. The big kiwi bloke proceeded to cut more then half of my hair off and cuts my fringe to about 2cm I was shocked I never asked him to touch my fringe and I was shocked it was too late tho. On the back I asked for a blowout and I thought it looked good until I got home and realized it was uneven. I usually go to Tommy guns and there good but I am never going back and this was the worst haircut ever

Negative experience: Use to go to Tommy guns carindale, since moving north and going to chermside I have been here twice and both cuts have been terrible, first time I thought maybe a one off but went again and had the most uneven cut and then the barber styled it a complete wrong way so now it sits horrible

Negative experience: I had one of the worst haircut experiences here. The cut looks uneven and nothing like what I showed in the reference photo. I left feeling frustrated and embarrassed that I have to go get it fixed somewhere else. Definitely not worth the money or the time—would not recommend at all.

Negative experience: The haircut is so bad i am leaving my first review, ever. The receptionist was very nice but the haircut sucks. Asked for a small trim. The haircut is uneven, it’s longer on the front left but, somehow, longer on the back left too! Paid $55 for a terrible child’s haircut.

Fantastic experience: I’ve had a mixed experience here until I started getting my haircuts by Brock. Brock is by far the best they’ve got in Brisbane, attention to detail, listens exactly to what you want, asks how you style it before he starts cutting, makes sure as he cuts each stage, always double checks how much you want off once he gets to the top and knows every style like a boss. Brock is always worth the wait and price. Unfortunately, I have had a few bad cuts from the other guys here, most just seem to want to get you in and out as quick as possible and don’t pay attention to your personal style or lengths. #goforbrock #the5starisforbrock

Negative experience: The concierge was lovely, I explained the kind of undercut I wanted and asked if they were able to achieve this and she checked with the senior barber, I explained it in length to him.. Then I was sat with the 2 year apprentice Luke who I explained it in detail to again- not sure why the barber couldn't have explained it to him? Luke preceded to leave a 2 cm difference in my left and right side burn, chopping one off in the exact way I explained in great detail NOT TO DO. I couldn't see this as the mirrors were so far away and he showed me only the back of the undercut and I trusted him. Had to cut it myself again at home to even it out and honestly the back is also messier than I'd like... Paid the haircut fee not the undercut fee $39 for 5 mins work... its no more complicated just because its a woman's hair... More attention to detail would be appreciated...honestly wonder if Luke had been hitting the w vape from his vague uninterested attitude. I work minimum wage too, no excuse for a terrible job.

Negative experience: Probably the worst haircut of my life. I specifically asked for no fade, got a fade in the back (which he didn't show). Told him twice where my hair parts, and that one side there needs to be a bit shorter. He didn't listen, thought he knew better I guess. Had to fix that myself at home. But the worst was that for some reason he shaved off my side burns, leaving this weird gap between my hair and my beard. Avoid this place like the plague.

Negative experience: The first couple of times I came here one or two years ago it was really good and well priced with excellent service . The last two times I was here about a year ago the prices shot up and I ended up with a diagonal goatee and a really bad shave over all ( patchy straight razor shave, uneven goatee etc. ) checked prices today and they have gone up further, and after the sub par service from the barbers the last two times I visited. I wont be coming back

Positive experience: Ive been going to see Brock for about 6 months now after my previous barbers have left the business, My experience has always been fantastic, however it is getting far too expensive for a haircut. Ive been coming to Tommy guns for about 7 years and its consistently getting more and more expensive and sadly may have to switch barbers. Ive been going for 7+ years and there is no loyalty program or anything to make it cheaper for loyal customers. If I want a standard hair cut and beard trim it will cost upwards of $80 which is absolutley ridiculous, and I know the person reading this also agrees with me. Very dissapoining in that aspect but I cannot fault Brock himself, He always does a great job its just the company he works for isn't the greatest.

Positive experience: I went in and wanted a medium length haircut, I showed the barber what I wanted and I ended up getting something way too long on top with a lot of layers and the back was really really short. Luckily I was able to get a different barber and he made it look better but now I’ve ended up with a really short hair cut. Can’t say I was too happy with the service, was glad to have the second barber fix it though.

I have to give a special shoutout to Kathy, the lady who greets everyone (and the rest!) Her customer service is above and beyond! she’s always so on to it!.
