Negative experience: Thursday 22 January, around 11:00am I went to Two Brothers Barber at Carindale Westfield on the recommendation of a mate. I was three months into growing my beard and decided to invest in having it professionally shaped instead of grooming it myself at home. From the very beginning of the appointment, I was polite, calm and respectful. I made an effort to build rapport, complimented the barber on his work and let him know he was doing a great job on the fade. I was an easy customer with very clear instructions. For my head, I asked for a skin fade blended to a number one on top. That part was done well. For my beard, I clearly stated Only blend from the sideburns down Leave the rest of the beard untouched Only clean up the neckline Do not touch the bottom half of my face or my chin Despite this, once the barber moved onto my beard, he became distracted, turned his attention towards the foot traffic outside the shop while holding clippers to my face, and took a large chunk out from underneath my chin. I immediately questioned what had just happened and made it clear I was unhappy. Instead of stopping, checking with me or apologising, he continued cutting in an attempt to fix the mistake, repeatedly shortening my chin and surrounding areas. The end result is extremely poor. There is now a narrow, pointed section of longer hair left in the centre of my chin, while the hair underneath my chin, under my lip and along the lower jawline has been cut very short. The transition is harsh, uneven and completely unblended. It looks accidental, not intentional, and cannot be styled or corrected without shaving the beard back significantly. This has effectively ruined three months of beard growth. What made this experience unacceptable was not just the mistake itself, but how it was handled. There was no apology No empathy No accountability Instead, I was met with repeated excuses. But this But that But you said this There is no excuse. The instructions were clear. The instructions were not followed. The service I paid for was not delivered. He could clearly see how unhappy I was in the chair and chose to do nothing to acknowledge or resolve it. At the counter, the same dismissive attitude continued and I was still charged full price. As someone who visits barbers regularly and is happy to pay for quality service, this is one of the worst barbering experiences I have had. For many men with short hair, their beard is the one thing they can grow, maintain and feel confident about. That was completely disregarded. I will never return and I will be actively telling friends in the area to avoid this barbershop. A simple apology, some empathy or basic accountability would have gone a long way. Instead, I am back to square one after months of growth. Avoid at all costs.

Negative experience: Was a really disappointing experience overall. Asked for skin fade. The guy didn’t bother using the double foil shaver, even though it was sat in front of he and also they don’t bother with a razor finish at the end. Thought I’d give them a try as I usually go to Col Nayler, but I definitely don’t be back. A very odd experience.

He had his hair cut by Fabian and it's exactly what he asked for, even though it's an unusual style and multiple barbers have commented his hair is difficult to style cut. My son said Fabian is the best barber he has ever had because he's so friendly and he cut his hair exactly how he wanted it. We were acknowledged as soon as we walked in, we didn't have to wait very long and they are well priced

Negative experience: My boyfriend walked in looking so good and walked out with the worst haircut of his life. They did not listen to what he wanted asked to keep the length with a low fade and got a high fade at like a 2. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU LIKE YOUR HAIR

Negative experience: Horrible experience all round. I was mostly ignored while walking in even though they had an employee at the door. Actual haircut was scuffed, completely uneven, zero faded on one side but not the other, wrong hairstyle all together, and lighting so terrible i couldn’t tell how bad it was until I’d already paid and left. Had to shave my head for my sister’s wedding.

Negative experience: So sad with my son’s haircut. Not enough attention to detail, even before I left I had to ask them to straighten the back which was obviously crooked. Now we are home we notice it’s still crooked and there are bits that were missed. Not happy to pay $43 for a child haircut that wasn’t good.

Negative experience: Really poor job- save your money and don’t go here. My husband got his hair done today and asked for a skin fade, eyebrows trimmed and hair washed after. The skin fade is shocking. It looks like he has a bowl cut, his eyebrows don’t look trimmed and the guy forgot to wash his hair at the end and needed reminding. I don’t think he had any idea what he was doing.

Negative experience: Asked for a size 4 side and back and small trim of hair on top, left with pretty much the same amount of hair on the sides and back as I came in and more hair cut from the top, not to mention lengths in the back are different on either side… What’s the point of giving instructions to a barber if they completely go their own way
