Fantastic experience: Georgee was great! With what little I knew about styling my hair, he gave me an excellent haircut. Used to go to sports clips but they weren’t doing the job right and decided to give this place a shot, would recommend!

Negative experience: I got the worst cut today and paid 67 dollars for a basic hair and bread trim. Both came out uneven not faded well and my head is squared on one side and rounded on the other.. like flat top or faded which one. Fact that is was 67 was a joke..after I showered.. it wasn't even funny after that. Just disrespectful

Negative experience: I went to Bossman for a simple regular haircut and even showed the barber a picture of exactly what I wanted. The result was nothing like the photo. He completely butchered the back of my hair, and it looked terrible. I went back the next day to get it fixed since it was clearly the barber’s mistake, but they still wanted to charge me $18 even though I had already paid $41 for the original cut. That’s just bad customer service. I shouldn’t have to pay again to fix something they messed up. I won’t be going back, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Negative experience: Horrible customer service! These guys don't know what they are doing... And when you go back same day or even next day yo tell them fix it, they charge you again... It costs 40 dollars for a boys haircut... What a rip off. Don't mind paying the high price but when I took my son back to just fix the back part they wanted to charge me. Wow! What a great way to get customers to come back! Never again. STAY AWAY!!!

Fantastic experience: Stopped in for the first time today. Got into a chair without a wait and Robert was my barber. I got a regular haircut and beard trim/line done. This is hands down my favorite haircut I've ever had. I will certainly be going back again!

Negative experience: Took my son there for his usual mediocre haircut and they absolutely wrecked his hair. I showed the receptionist a pic of the haircut I wanted and she said the barber could do it. Then I showed the barber and he also said he could do it. My son has very thick hair and I keep it a bit longer with a messy look. The barber took the clippers and shaved my son’s head right up to the top of his head and didn’t even touch the top. I spent days trying to fix it myself and it was too much for me. So I had to take him to another barber to try and clean the top up and make it look better. For a $30 kids cut, I expect someone to have skill. We’ve gone here for about 2 years and never got a great cut but nothing so bad like this. We will never go back here again.

I’ve been coming to Branden specifically for about a year now and I feel that he is the best for my situation. He is extremely booked so I do recommend Setting an appointment with the front desk whether that stopping in and making an appointment or calling in and making an appointment. He make sure that you are 100% satisfied before leaving and does a great job. I always get compliments. Thank you for setting the standard. Brandon is your guy.

Negative experience: One of the worst places for a hair cut. Sinks were dirty ....Martin takes phone calls during hair cuts...so unprofessional.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible. We have been going for a while and everytime the haircut is worse than the last. They just butchered my son’s hair and gave him a completely different cut than we asked. I’m so upset. I do not plan on returning. I’m including photos of what we asked for and what was done. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Negative experience: First, the girl at the front desk behaves as if you are bothering her. Second... walk in with your hair parted, feathered and duck tailed... walk out with the sides shaved and part crooked... Not everyone wants to their head shaved to the skin.

Negative experience: There is no difference between a hair cut at Any great clips location and at this barber shop. I did not find anything special in my hair cut or any suggestions from barber. I felt 36$ is way more for a hair cut

Negative experience: Sat for 45 min before the receptionist told me there was an appointment ahead of me and they were behind schedule so it may happen again. What a stupid way to treat customers. Go elsewhere. Plenty of barbers in Peoria.

Negative experience: i gave them $40 to give me worse cuts than super cut. Hair on my left side sticks out and does not match the right side at all. I showed the barber a video of my previous hair cut, it showed 360 view of what i had. Still managed to give me a cut thats not even close and make it uneven at that.

Fantastic experience: I have been a customer here for many years. Bossman is a gem, they have friendly knowledgeable staff that doesn’t change year over year like most barbers shops I’ve been to in the past. I usually have Camron cut my hair, but everyone there is great.

Positive experience: Unfortunately Brandon doesn’t know how to be professional. I stopped in on sat 9/21/24 and expected there to be a wait. Juan is my guy although, because he was going on break, I decided to ask for Brandon. Brandon didn’t check to see the list of who was in line and immediately went to a pal of his and asked if he could wait so he can eat. The front desk lady called my name and told me to sit in Brandon’s chair. As I sat for 5 mins, I realized that Juan most likely would be done with break before Brandon was done eating. So I told the front desk lady I don’t mind waiting for Juan. She was surprised to hear Brandon was eating because “he isn’t supposed to be on break”. That’s when Brandon immediately become frustrated with me (a client who has been coming here for years) for being impatient. Multiple times he called me impatient. Calling a customer impatient although I had been waiting 30mins (which I don’t mind) is absurd. Brandon should be taught how to handle customers in a professional way. Hopefully Martin can address Brandon’s childish behavior.

Fantastic experience: We came here to find a new place/barber for my husband, who has had difficulty getting a good haircut. We made an appt with Brandon, recommended in the reviews. He was patient and very skilled, we love the cut and will be back for the next one, thank you!

Fantastic experience: I had a decent first experience at the barbershop. My son cried the entire time during his haircut, but I really appreciated the patience from everyone there. The only suggestion I have is to invest in clippers with a built-in vacuum, which would’ve helped keep things cleaner. Overall, it's a great place and seems busy, so plan ahead if you want a high-quality cut.

Negative experience: this is the only place that charges the same for a bewrd trim as a haircut, a haircut and beard trim ajd i walk out for $73 will not return

Fantastic experience: I’ll give 5 stars but I do wish that Bossman Barber shop would stick to “walk-ins” only of Friday. I should not have to get to the shop an hour early just to sign in to get on the list for a cut. I purposely go in Fridays because it’s supposed to be walk in only. I travel 40 mins to this shop because they are the best.

Fantastic experience: I was very impressed with the haircut Brandon did on my son. His level of skill and patience to fix my son’s previous botched haircut, that was done at this location was top notch. He took his time to make sure the haircut was fixed and he exceeded my expectations. Trust me when I say, Brandon, is amazing and takes pride in his work.

Positive experience: Everything about this place looks so fancy and cool. I was really excited to take my son here as he has been wanting a certain haircut for awhile and the previous place he went to just couldn’t do fades the way he wanted. He asked me to go here as they would be able to give him the exact cut he wanted. Since we didn’t know any barbers yet we went with first available which ended up being a younger heavier gentlemen with gauge piercings. My son is very soft spoken and shy so I went to the chair with him just to make sure the barber understood what he was asking for. He seemed annoyed I was there and there was no greeting or hello from him so we stood there for a few seconds awkwardly staring at each other because I was waiting for him to say “hello, what are we doing today.” When I realized there was not going to be any greeting I started telling him what kind of fade my son wanted. The barber just stared at me…after another few awkward seconds he finally says “I hate those terms you just used because no one understands the meaning of them.” So I decided to show him a picture. Anyways, my son somewhat likes the outcome of the cut but said there was no fade as requested and it looked exactly like the haircuts he gets at sports clips. I did observe some barbers there that seemed to enjoy their job better and was very detailed in there work. I am willing to go again to hopefully have a better experience with a different barber.

For anyone that gets a flattop, you know how difficult it is to find someone that knows how to do it right - all barbers say they know how to do it but the results say otherwise. Jordan is very young but his skills are way beyond his years of experience. I’ve had barbers over twice his age and were lucky to have half his skill level. He worked quick and efficiently, but was very precise and detailed!!! Thank you Jordan!!!

Fantastic experience: Been here 5 times now and had haircut from 3 different people and each one was great. You just need to tell the barber exactly what you want and they will do it. Can be a long wait sometimes if you plan on waiting for a certain barber without appt but if you’re good with taking the first available you will be in and out.

His cuts are always sharp (no matter the barber) and it's always a quick trip in and out as a walk in. It's a clean/classy establishment at an absolute steal of a price ($35 for this last visit).

Negative experience: A Very Unpleasant Experience at Bossman Barbershop I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my extremely disappointing experience at Bossman Barbershop. Despite most of the staff being exceptionally friendly, my encounter with one particular barber - a larger individual with prominent gauge earrings - was disheartening enough to deter me from ever returning. From the onset, this barber's demeanor was off-putting. He didn't acknowledge my presence or offer any sort of greeting when I approached his chair. His back remained turned to me, an initial impression that hardly set a welcoming tone for the appointment. Matters worsened when he vanished into the restroom for a good five minutes without any prior communication or apology. His rudeness escalated when he returned. He was discourteous and dismissive whenever I attempted to engage in conversation. All he seemed to do was grumble about his disdain for his job - an attitude that made me question why he chose this profession in the first place. What truly upset me was the haste and carelessness with which he handled my haircut. It took him under ten minutes to finish - an alarming pace, especially when compared to the attention and care other barbers in the shop were providing to their clients. Not only was his service rushed, but the end result was a remarkably uneven haircut. To add insult to injury, this lackluster haircut set me back $40 - a steep price to pay for such an unsatisfactory service. I've never been so underwhelmed and disrespected by a barber. This man's appalling behavior significantly impacted my experience at Bossman Barbershop. His conduct has not only cost him a customer but has also tainted the reputation of the entire establishment. It's disheartening to witness a single individual bring down what seemed like an otherwise pleasant environment filled with diligent employees. I strongly recommend that potential clients steer clear of this establishment unless they are willing to risk having their day ruined by one disagreeable barber. I, for one, will not be taking that risk again. This was the worst haircut I've ever received and the most impolite "barber" I've ever encountered.

Negative experience: Had the rudest barber in my entire life. Kept asking me how I wanted my hair cut. I tried to show him but he would not listen so he kept asking about low fade, medium fade, etc. Instead of explaining the difference, he finally said, “I’m not playing, we have a lot of people waiting”. At that point I told him to take the apron off, got up, and told him and everyone else in the shop that he was the rudest barber that I had in my entire life. Will not be back as long as that barber is still there!

Positive experience: I have been using this barber for almost 6 years now, that being said I feel like my experience with this business has always been great. However, I did have a time where I was treated pretty disrespectfully recently and I have yet to return to this location. I usually tip my barber in cash immediately after the haircut is complete. After my haircut I did just that and went to the front counter to pay for the haircut, and was asked if I would like to leave a tip in which I responded no. The front desk person then scoffed and said “okay dude” and proceeded to hand my card back. The barbers here have always been amazing but this one situation left a poor taste in my mouth and that’s why I give it 4 stars.

Positive experience: Nice hair cut, at a reasonable price and it took less than 7 minutes. The only problem is he cut all my hair off and my hair does not grow back fast and sometimes not at all, lol. The cut was not what I asked for. When I left my hair looked exactly like every other persons cut in every other occupied chair and I now have a huge bald spot in the back of my head, FFS! Cool place, seems like they do a good job but in my situation they didn’t provide me the cut I asked for and now I’m bald, when I walked in there I was not. Not once did the guy rotate the chair so I had littrally no opportunity to stop him. Edit: my kids like the cut and say there is no bald spot, so I would at this point say check this place out,
