Fantastic experience: I’m a really anxious person when it comes to getting haircuts, so finding someone I trust matters a lot to me. Angelica B is the top dog The first time I went to her was after someone accidentally messed up my hair, and she completely fixed it. I loved it so much that I made sure to come back to her again. This second visit really confirmed how great she is. She genuinely listens, actually looks the reference photos you bring, and never rushes through the appointment. You can tell she cares about getting it right, not just getting it done. Partway through the appointment I got really sick sitting in the chair, and she handled it with so much kindness. She brought me water and chips and waited patiently until I felt okay to continue, and never once made me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable. After that she finished the cut with so much precision and patience, taking her time with every detail. She gave me the exact haircut I’ve been trying to get for a long time. If you’re nervous about haircuts or just want someone who truly cares about doing a good job, Angelica is absolutely worth seeing.

Negative experience: I have been coming here for years and the only issue i had up until now was the stylists I used kept quiting alot of turnover in this store. Anywho I booked an appointment as usual with Gabriella for 1:15 i showed up at 1:05 and was told she was just finishing up at 1:30 i had them cancel my appointment as the person she was cutting was no where close to being finished. How can you take someone when you know you have a confirmed appointment and totally disregard you customer who booked in advance. Extremely unprofessional behavior and I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: So many awesome barbers here, and I’ve been going to this location for the past year. Drew blew me away with how he cut my hair yesterday. Like I’ve never been so happy with a haircut before. He understands curly hair.

Negative experience: Does not accept walk-ins even though the website says they do. The shop looks nice, but waste of time.

I brought my 3 year old grandson in and was very nervous because he has natural curly hair and has had a couple of stylist really mess up his first two hair cuts. But not Sonya, she did an amazing job! Even with his wiggles, she was able to give him the best haircut he has had yet! We will definitely be going back for his future cuts. Negative experience: After growing my hair out for 2 years, I wanted kind of a shag cut/ wolf cut with longer layers as per my reference photos , the woman there basically cut it 2-3 inches shorter than the reference photo in the front, gave me a rat tail and didn't communicate anything until all the major cuts were already done. I had to go home and shave the entire back off. I went from about 8 inches of growth to an inch on the back and sides/ 2.5 inches on the top. I'm horrified and will never be going here again.

Fantastic experience: Moved to the West Valley. I’ve been a Floyd’s customer at different locations in Tempe and Chandler. First time here at the Glendale location; and pleased to have walked-in today for a cut and shampoo. Drew was my barber/stylist who did a fine job.

Fantastic experience: They're the only place we've found that knows how to do a super short cut on a female without getting scared. That may sound silly, but traditional salons and "quick cut" shops tend to get nervous when we ask them to use clippers. It got to the point where we would ask for the length by number (#2) and still some stylists would get round-eyed and gasp: "Are you SURE??". This doesn't happen at Floyd's. You tell 'em what you want, hop in the chair, and they give you the cut you want. They also have nice afters, like a shoulder massager and hot towels to get the little hairs off your neck. Best for me: The music! Floyd's has a rock-n-roll flair and it shows in their decor and music. Sitting in the waiting area is a little like being at the Hard Rock Cafe.

Fantastic experience: I always get a great cut when I visit Floyd's. I specifically see Anjelica at the west Bell Road location in Glendale. She's fantastic and so skilled in her trade. The only stylist I've been to where the haircut looks GOOD as it grows out! Most haircuts get to about that 3 week mark and I start noticing uneven patches and funny spots in my curl pattern, but when Anjelica cuts my hair it looks just as sharp and stylish as day one 6 weeks later.

Negative experience: They have a black woman barber, she doesn't even know the basics of any hair cut i was telling her what to do, I drove back home and i shaved my hair to zero. Not a recommended barber shop.

Fantastic experience: I love the vibe of the shop, especially that it's LGBT friendly and has a kinda alt vibe going on. Everyone there was super nice and welcoming; Amber did my cut and she did a fantastic job. I'm going back for my next cut and telling all my friends!

Negative experience: Used to be decent. I went back to get my same stylist Kelci. The kid that booked the appointment made it for another stylist,(Won't say the name) who as I sat there not knowing that the kid booked the wrong stylist, was cutting this guys hair and the back was crooked and at a really bad angle. I asked why Kelci had not come back out. he said that I wasn't booked with her. After telling him that we had discussed her and when she'd be in that I didn't want who he booked me for, for more than obvious reasons, he said I had no option and that I booked theguy. I then told him how wrong he was and to just cancel the appointment for me, he turned to another employee to come talk to me and he went to the back to cry or something because of his complete incompetence. If this is the type of unqualified people they hire, no thanks.

Negative experience: Generally the haircuts are good but today’s barber Johnny was horrible. I don’t know what was the rush but he cut my hair in 5 mins and the haircut turned out bad. He dropped scissor on my forehead, used clipper rough that the clipper edge kept scratching me, and an uneven haircut. Very Disappointed.

Fantastic experience: This barbershop did what I asked and did they’re assignment! Amber is a great listener and understands hair texture. She gave me bangs that suit my face very well and lots of layers for my wolf cut! I’ll update after my coloring but I’m already pleased with the results and a great price as well!

Fantastic experience: This is my ONLY barbershop! I have gone to Chelsea K for the past year, and she is absolutely wonderful. She is nice, super friendly, and fantastic at men’s hair. She always guides me in the right direction. Last time, I needed a last minute cut and saw Angelica instead - she was EQUALLY as amazing! She took her time, and made sure my hair was perfect. Floyd’s 99 is the only place I trust!

Fantastic experience: Decided to give this place a shot after seeing it while driving by. I was greeted by a friendly front staff member and my experience with Anjelica who cut my hair was excellent. I can’t even remember the last time I had a good scissor cut rather than a full on razor cut. She did such a good job I will definitely be coming back.

Negative experience: Terrible experience. Asked the barber for a mid-fade which the barber clearly had no experience doing. Instead of being honest he winged it. The haircut was awful and I had to go to another place to get it fixed.

Angelica was absolutely amazing. I was welcomed with a smile and she was beyond professional. She did an amazing job on my cut. She did everything I wanted and she really knows how to do a great fade. As long as she is there Floyd's will be my go to spot from now on and I'm telling all my friends about it.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service. Got my beard lined up and it’s uneven. Told the barber doing it, he attempted to fix, and made it even worse. I have a very long thick beard and I will not be back. This place has gone downhill. The shop floor is disgusting. Doesn’t look like it’s been mopped in months. Supercuts would have been a better option. I’m so disappointed in this place.

Positive experience: great customer service and atmosphere! felt safe as a queer person. however, i'd avoid booking if you have wavy or curly hair, or at least tell them to cut it while it's dry. i've gone twice, and my hair was cut way too short both times due to the way it shrinks when wet. other than that, great place to get a haircut!

Fantastic experience: Great place to go for a cut!! Highly recommend making an appt though. I walked in with my son to get his long hair cut and we had to wait awhile, but that’s ok. The place was busy, which in my eyes is a very good thing! We waited and glad we did. My fade turned out amazing and my sons long hair came out looking great (which is very hard to get lately). Most definitely will be taking my son back. I’ve also been going to the same barber for 10yrs now and pretty sure Floyd’s converted me to their newest fan and loyal customer! Product selection is great as well. So happy.

Fantastic experience: When I had nowhere else to turn, after my friend assured me he knew how to cut hair, and messed my hair up so badly a day before my job interview (first one in over a year), I was without funds or resources, I said a prayer and then called Floyd's and explained my dilemma. The assistant manager was so nice and polite and invited me in for what would be considered a blessing from above. I will be forever in debt to these amazing people who saved the day. Negative experience: I walked in here this morning hoping for some service. When I walked in the girl asked me what I'm in for. Considering it's a barber shop, I kind of thought this question was kind of funny. I wasn't here for an oil change lol. However, I politely said I am here for a haircut and beard trim. I was then asked if I had an appointment. I politely said no. The front girl then ran to one of the barbers and said something. She then came back to me and said we have time for a haircut but not the beard trim. Instead of offering me an appointment or allowing me to wait, I felt like I was not welcomed. I would have waited how matter long I had to, but was not offered any service.

Fantastic experience: Sarah is absolutely amazing. I just got my hair cut today by her. I suffer from compulsive hair pulling disorder. When I told Sarah, she did not judge me, she didn’t make me feel judged or ashamed like everybody else I’ve ever told. She instead helped create an awesome undercut. With my ugly disorder, she helped create something beautiful. And it’s something I am proud to show. I haven’t been able to leave my house since my brothers death. But Sarah made my first outing a great experience. We talked about my brother and she was super respectful. She is so kind and wonderful, so much so she gave me my haircut for free. Words cannot describe how thankful I am for her kindness. She is truly a great person. I hope I see her again in the future when I need another haircut. And I hope she finds happiness in her journey through life and continues to do what feels is right for herself, no matter what others may say. Thank you Sarah.

Fantastic experience: Floyd's is always the best. Cannot complaint honestly. Slightly above average for prices but it's worth it over places like Great Clips of Super Cuts. Props to ASHLEEEEYYYY for putting in work when it came to color. Girl did an amazing job and was super patient with me in choosing the color I wanted. 10/5 because she went above and beyond what I wanted. Major props!!!

Fantastic experience: Won't go anywhere else unless it's on a [military] base or there's a barber pole and a 100-year-old man named "Ernie" cleaning a straight-razor while regaling with stories of yesteryear. (Just make sure you ask for someone specific depending on what you're looking for specifically, (like a barber cosmetologist, colorist, etc.)
