Fantastic experience: My barber, Thalia, did a wonderful and meticulous haircut. I am very pleased with the job she did.

Fantastic experience: Edgar was great with my boys and he gave my 15yr old his first professional shave. Both boys appreciated the service and quality of their cuts. My 12yr old was impressed, which is difficult to do if it’s not some sort of electronics. We will definitely be coming back and continue to do so.

Negative experience: I have let a few months pass before I left this review. The 1 star, why? It wasn’t the bad haircut the prompted this review. It’s what happened or in this case rather, …what DID NOT happen by customer service after the haircut. After every experience at V’s barbershop, you are prompted to rate the service via a text message at the barbershop. I gave them honest feedback and explained exactly what happened and why the experience was poor. That was it. I received an automated message basically apologizing for the poor experience but that was it. I did not hear anything from the shop themselves asking to remedy the situation or personally asking what happened and how they can prevent it in the future. You might ask, “if you had an issue, why didn’t you say it then and there to the barber or the front desk?” The answer is I’m not a confrontational person by nature. Regardless, I now suspect this company will address me below as per other negative reviews now that the negative review is made public. They didn’t care about a negative review as long as it was private on their end. Not that it matters but obviously I won’t ever take my business here again.

Negative experience: Called from the parking lot. No wait. Walk in. I’m next. Asked two people if could wait for them and was told “it’ll be a while” for one and the other “let me check my schedule”. Walk ins are not apparently welcome and they seem too busy to assist “non regulars”. Other guy at the end just chatting away about nonsense. Won’t be going back.

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Vs 4 times now. The price is worth it. I have been going there before they moved locations. I alwqys get a great cut and they shave mt neck. The beard trim and shave seem pricy until they are finished, then you feel amazing. Want to try the wax services someday when I am brave enough.

Positive experience: Went here with my father to both get a trim and a shave. I won’t say the barbers name but he was on older Puerto Rican gentleman. I was mildly impressed with the service. After I tipped $20 I realized my neck was not shaved, I have a large slice on my chin from the razor and the fade he gave me on one side is subpar. I did re-enter to have my neck cleaned up and they did that with no issue but they still didn’t do a good job. Decent conversation and nice guy but I think he should slow down and focus on his craft a bit more instead of trying to get the next person in the chair.

Fantastic experience: Old fashioned hot towel shave and a "to the skin" fade. Hanna did an excellent job, especially the detail straight razor work around the eyebrows and ears. I was very relaxed with the lotions and pre-shave massaging on my face. I can't wait to come back!

She took her time with every detail — the fade came out super clean, she lined up my beard perfectly, and even did my eyebrows, wax, hot towels, and a quick massage at the end. You can tell she really cares about her clients and takes pride in her work. Fantastic experience: This was probably the best haircut my kid has recieved in years at V's barbershop! He looked amazing and the wonderful barber took actual care and time on him! It didn't feel rushed or that he was just trying to get through him at quick as possible. I wish I would have gotten a photo, but being 13 yrs old, he doesn't want photos anymore. Amazing, amazing treatment!

Negative experience: **I gave your business 1 week to respond. You did not so my review is now going up. Please read before you visit this company. ** I just got done with a haircut at your Arrowhead location with Hanaa and it was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had. I booked a haircut and beard trim like I always do. It was going well until about halfway through when a man entered that I am assuming knows Hanaa. When he entered it was like I no longer existed. Multiple times after he entered she was cutting my hair while not even looking at my head, instead she was looking at this other gentlemen and talking to him. This wasn’t with a trimmer that had a guard, no this was a trimmer that was a zero. She was literally cutting my hair with a zero trimmer and not even looking at my head! On top of that, while trimming my beard line, she cut a patch in my beard while talking to this guy. She took my beard line lower to try and hide it and acted as if nothing happened. By that time I was over it, yet they continued chatting away. She forgot a few things that she normally does and I had to remind her about them. When it came time for the straight razor I said I did not want it. She seemed confused. I waited until she was completely done and had put all her trimmers down and told her how I upset I was. She was apologetic but it was too late at that point. I told her if you can’t even look at me when cutting my hair with a trimmer there is no chance I am allowing you to come anywhere close to me with a straight edge razor. I told her if this is how I can expect to be treated then I will gladly take my business elsewhere. To top it all off, when I left your store, the man she was talking to walked out a few minutes behind me! So this entire interaction has put me off on your company and all for someone else who did not even have an appointment nor spent any money at your establishment. I am refraining from posting any reviews until I hear back from this email.

Fantastic experience: This is a terrific barber shop and have used them for many years.

Positive experience: Prices are a bit high for many of the services but overall you get a good quality cut etc each time I’ve gone here. My only issue is the constant turn over of staff here. Idk the main reason but it’s common to simply never see the barber you worked with ever again. I’ve gone through 5 different barbers I liked and came back to them no longer working there.

Negative experience: I gave it three days to cool off before writing this. I’m a 56-year-old man with simple, short hair—and this was, hands down, the worst haircut of my life. Boris not only botched the cut, but he seemed completely untrained. I’ve never had to physically get out of a barber chair mid-cut before, but I had no choice. My wife and even the other barbers were visibly watching the mess unfold. It got so bad, one of them actually told me to come to her chair so she could try to fix it. I have no idea how this barbershop hires or keeps someone with this level of incompetence and poor knowledge of his tools. The end result? I’ll be walking around for the next six weeks looking like a cross between a bowling ball and an egg.

Positive experience: I started going here a few months ago, Brenda was my stylist. She does a great job, she has lots of experience and it shows in how she cuts hair. She pays close attention to detail! Unfortunately this past time will be my last. The last 4 times I’ve made online appointments, 4 times I’ve had to wait almost 30 minutes past my appointment time! I’m not sure why that is and I’ve not asked but I won’t return as this is unacceptable imo!!!

Negative experience: My son hasn’t cut his hair in 5 years it was long. I told this to the hairdresser and she asked me, that is a boy ? This should have been my first red flag. I asked for a French crop where there is hair on top and the sides a bit to style forward. She didn’t know this style though it’s very popular right now. She cut all his hair off and only left a bit in the front and he cried on the way home. I feel so awful for him knowing he wanted this style and was so brave to cut his beautiful locks off to not get the style and cut he asked for. Please be considerate of children’s wants and don’t just cut how you want it next time . The child is a client too. Be respectful too, comments like that are awful many men have long hair. Doesn’t mean they are a woman.

Negative experience: I've been going to V's for at least 4 years in Tucson. I just moved to Phoenix, had an appointment here and I showed up 10 minutes early. I ended up sitting there for over 30 minutes until a barber asked if I just wanted to sit with him instead of my original appointment. Luckily I did because the lady I was originally scheduled with wasn't finished for probably another 20 minutes. Unluckily, the haircut experience I received was subpar, at best. No water was used on my hair causing the cut hair to just float in the air around my face, into my eyes and nose. When my haircut was finished, there were no questions about how I style it or anything. I was never asked if I wanted them to put any hair gel or anything into my hair. I left with a dry, flat head with no effort put into trying to style it. Once I got home I washed my hair and styled it to my liking. This is when I realized how poor of a job was done. The sides were too long for the length of the top and the cowlick on the back of my head was the longest part of my hair. I wish I could have said something while in the chair but was never given an opportunity to do so. I waited a week for my hair to grow because one week out is typically the best a haircut looks imo. No change to my feelings and now I'm just waiting for my hair to grow out more before I schedule a haircut somewhere else

Fantastic experience: While in the area picking up a coffee we saw V’s Barbershop and decided to stop in and see if they had time for a walk in. My son was in desperate need of a cut before school starts back up next week. Lucky for us they had an opening within minutes. The shop was very nice and clean. They offered us a free soda or water which was nice. My son’s hair looks great. We’ll definitely come back in the future. It is hard to find a good barber.

Fantastic experience: We arrived 15 minutes early for a 3:30pm appointment for my son with no barber in particular. We were promptly welcomed and informed that Chris would be with us as soon as he finished with his client. He had my son on the barber chair by our appointment time and did a great job keeping him entertained and gave him a sharp looking fade. My son has a cowlick that is somewhat of a challenge when lining up because if not done perfectly, it looks like his hairline was pushed down and back. Chris made it look easy and did a great job with the haircut. My son now says Chris is his favorite barber and can't wait to go back.
