Negative experience: Call to book? “Go online.” Book online? Still a mess. I scheduled a 4:15 haircut and beard reshape and shave. Sat down and the barber says he doesn’t shave beards. That’s literally what I booked. They tell me to wait “a couple minutes” for someone else. An hour later, I’m still sitting there. No service. No apology. Not even a glass of water. Dick’s Service Station — minus the service.

Negative experience: This is my third or fourth time at Dick's service station. I usually go to a woman named Chris, but she was no longer there so I was assigned a gentleman named Kevin after the haircut was done. He asked me if I liked it and I said I didn't care for the sides and wanted him to cut some more Just the sides mind you… He told me it was late and he wanted to leave and if he redid the sides he would charge me for a second haircut… I didn't appreciate being treated like that. I will never go back to this gentleman and probably not to this place again because this was a really disappointing experience… And honestly, if it were my employee, he'd be out of there because you do not treat customers like that. I tipped him five dollars because I usually tip 10 and I shouldn't have tipped him anything because the customer service was lousy not coming back to Dick's.

Negative experience: Walk-ins are NOT welcome here. They will not answer the phone to tell you whether or not walk-ins are available any particular afternoon so you have to come here as I am now after a $40 Uber ride to find out that no they’re not taking any walk-ins this afternoon. #neveragain

Also tried to charge me 5 dollars over what I signed up for. And didn’t really have a good explanation as to why. Fade could’ve been better as well.

He is a top notch stylist. I am always asked who cuts my hair and I send new clients to the shop. His styling tools are the best. He keeps his station very tidy after each customer. I love the fact that he listens to you and delivers exactly what you expect. Rich is a team player and takes walk-ins and treats them with utmost care as if they were his own clients. Rich is very gifted and passionate about his work. His styling techniques are precise and he studies the process from different angles. I highly recommend him and encourage future clients to book in advance. I give him and the shop a perfect 10!

This is a great experience for gay men of the greater Fort Lauderdale area.

She really took her time as well as super friendly, patient, and knew how to work with a slightly wiggly kid. Negative experience: I went there tonite at 6:08pm and they close at 7:00pm. There was one person getting a haircut. They turned me down because they decided to close early. Not cool, not good business. Won’t go back again.

Positive experience: Great service and price. Just make sure everything is right before you leave. Almost always have to ask to get something cleaned up like a line still showing through a fade or hair left long with short hair around it but it’s never a problem to get it corrected.

Negative experience: Many years ago they did this to me at this same place, but it is my own fault to go back to places like this, where doing the right thing is just not in their small brains. Will try to summarize my experience with this place. I made an appointment to get the next available barber, next to me in my car was my boyfriend I didn't had a clue he also wanted a haircut keep in mind He didn't had an appointment . When I get there before I can said anything and look around I see William working on my boyfriend , doing a haircut , not even caring for who was next on the list , just because they know each other William skipped my turn. I waited because my boyfriend didn't have a way to get home .Finally after they finished with his haircut they called me . My appointment was scheduled with next available barber at 11:00 AM. What a joke this place is .Again is not the fault of anybody but my own to go back to places where doing the right thing is not in their vocabulary, where they have no clue what client means , where customer retention is something they probably heard but have no clue what it means , where education and good manors is something that is way to far from their brains. Best of luck to a group of people that has no clue and don't care to take care of clients , fast money is best .

Fantastic experience: August 2023 update: I just had another haircut here by yet another barber, William this time. It's still excellent. A real gem and a fabulous value. Do yourself a favor and try them. And don't forget to leave a good tip with the money you will save The third time here. I had a different barber each time. All good cuts. On Friday, I decided to do a walk-in. The wait was about 20 minutes. Very reasonable for how busy they were. I now pay less for a simple men's cut so I can leave a bigger tip. Love the decor. My new favorite barber shop.

Fantastic experience: Solid place 15 dollar haircuts get you in and out. Right by cyth and Co coffee so you can get a hair cut and a pretty good coffee as well. Book online and pick which barber you like.

Fantastic experience: I've enjoyed going there over the years. Jay is the best and everyone is really nice. My one observation is the music selection. I understand the desire to create an up beat positive environment, but the New Wave music is not very welcoming to the diverse clientele. I love music, but it's always the same and for a very specific niche group. My suggestion, pick a station with more variety and genre's.

Negative experience: I don’t normally leave reviews but this was honestly the worst haircut I have ever had. This place is a joke. It was my first time. the barber didn’t even use scissors. Just a quick buzz around the sides and missed a patch on one side. No blending of any sort. And then he cut my neck line crooked. Trust me… Stay clear.

Positive experience: The guys in the shop are definitely very friendly and professional, affordable and the place is small but confy for a small shop. Only thing is and this happens in many barbershops, they get use to cutting hair the same way and style for years, when a new trend pops up, you can tell they are not sure or they don't teach themselves how to execute it.

Fantastic experience: I walked into this place one morning a couple of months ago but they were completely booked up for the day-so I was asked if I wanted to make a future appointment which they helped me do at the counter. Now I come in every week since. Now I know why they are always so busy! Now I know why they have won best barber shop every year. Super friendly staff & I have tried a few of the barbers so I now have my back up barber when my schedule changes & I need to rebook on another day. What I love the most other than the compliments that I get all the time is I’ve learned that the owners and staff who they call the Pit Crew give so much back to the community. The owners donated all the equipment needed for a not for profit barbershop that gives out free services to the community at Poverello’s Liv Well Center who cares for individuals with chronic illnesses. Always donating to other local not for profits and lastly they really take care of their barbers. No reason for me to go anywhere else! No reason for you to go anywhere else!
