Fantastic experience: Joe's Barber Shop is a true throwback to the classic barbershops of my youth—those days when young boys went with their dads for a no-fuss haircut, long before most guys started heading to salons. Stepping in here feels like stepping back in time, but in the best way possible. This place has been a Fort Lauderdale landmark since Diego's father opened the original shop, and now Diego carries on that proud family legacy from the first chair. He greets everyone who walks through the door with a hearty welcome that instantly makes you feel at home. Right next to him is Danny, his childhood friend, and together they've bonded to keep the tradition alive and thriving. The shop has both men and women barbers, and no matter who you end up with, you're guaranteed top-notch care—attention to detail, skill with any style (classic or modern), and that genuine hospitality. The atmosphere is welcoming, the cuts are always sharp and precise, and the whole team upholds an incredibly high standard. In a world of trendy spots, Joe's keeps the old-school charm alive while delivering excellent results. Highly recommend—I'll be back every time!

Fantastic experience: Great cut from Bethany and service from Diego.

Negative experience: Do not spend your money at this barber shop. Terrible attitude by the person who says he was the owner but I doubt it. Diego was his name and he has no idea how to speak to customers.

Negative experience: Make sure you pick a barber you know can perform the haircut that you fancy, request your input in every step and that is fluent in your language. I didn't do that, I was consulted just twice, so I got a disaster haircut! Never again!

Fantastic experience: Went to this barbershop for the first time ever, this past Wednesday. The barber that I had been going to, was just not understanding what I wanted done with my hair. I googled "Best barbershops in Ft Lauderdale", And Joe's was rated high on Yelp. Walked in and I was tended to by Eldis immediately. I briefly explained how I wanted my haircut and he nailed it. He was also very pleasant and a great conversationalist. My new spot for sure

Negative experience: I showed a picture to one of the barbers with the type of fade I wanted and he pushed it back by an inch and it is barely even a fade at all. It was disappointing and it turned my haircut from a simple trim to a chop that makes me feel like I have a Mohawk.

The staff is friendly, and they really know what they're doing. Have to say, the guy who left the last review, I was there, and he was recording all of us without permission . Negative experience: I was looking forward to getting a haircut here. I called and they said they accept walk-ins and can get me in right away. The host was nice and greeted me and guided me to grab a seat. I thought the atmosphere was really good and all the Barber seemed professional. So in anticipation of writing them a good Google review after the haircut I started taking a few pictures and videos while waiting my turn. The owner approached me and asked why I was taking videos and pictures. I informed him that I like to give businesses reviews to support small shops. He still felt uncomfortable and asked me to leave. I apologize and informed him that I should’ve asked beforehand and was willing to delete the footage. But he was still uncomfortable and walked me out. Now this owner counted himself out of a few blessings. Could have earned: 1) A 5-star review. 2) Proceeds and tip to one of his barbers. 3) A loyal customer that comes in twice a month. 4) Word of mouth and referrals.

Fantastic experience: First time in the shop hoping for a quick beard shape up. When when i walked in multiple barbers made eye contact and said hello and made me feel very comfortable in the shop for my first time. Five minute wait, and Igor with the best beard in the house sat me down in his chair for a top notch beard shape up. He was extremely professional, well mannered, knowledgeable, and skilled.. Looking sharp for the weekend now thanks to Igor and Joe’s barbershop.

He takes his time for each cut and I’ve never had an issue with my skin fades. The shop has an old school vibe that is very welcoming. Highly recommend!

Positive experience: I’ve had some success here since first going to Joe’s a few years ago. I’ll likely keep going. You’ll be directed to an open chair and 20 minutes later you’re done. Cash only. ATM on-site. If you like the cut, stick with that barber on future visits. You can call ahead to check availability. I deviated from that, my usual barber wasn’t on. I got a bad cut and unhappy. But, it will grow back. And, I’ll likely go back.

Felipe took time to ask what I wanted for my cut, was patient, and delivered the cut I was looking for. And I looked like a person again. The atmosphere is a relaxed one, the pricing for services are competitive, as far as I can see, and the value is apparent immediately. Very clean and professional. Caters to all kinds of haircuts & ages which most barber shops don’t. My main guy is Danny but honestly have been cut by most the barber’s in the shop. Everyone’s consistent and talented, they accommodate walk ins and respect your time. No waiting hours behind people that aren’t even there. Negative experience: I asked Kat for a low fade. Ended up with a high and tight, looking like I just finished Marine bootcamp.. make sure if you want a good fade you make sure they can actually give you one.
