Does not like certain things and we've been to a lot of people that have done those things he doesn't like even when asked. That is not the case here. Brody is truly a blessing and a master at his craft. His attention to detail and his personality are second to none. He makes my son feel more comfortable than anyone cutting his hair ever before. I was pleasantly surprised to find a clean and spacious salon, much bigger than I had anticipated from the roadside location. The barber, GC, gave me one of the cleanest and sharpest fades I’ve had in years. It was truly exceptional. I wish I had discovered this place a long time ago. Everyone around was getting amazing haircuts, and I didn’t even have to wait a minute before GC sat me down. I highly recommend this place. It’s definitely worth trying. I would give it more than 5 stars.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been coming to Ace of Fades for 5 years now, and they are the best. DeMarcos is the best in Phoenix! He cuts both of my boys and myself. He keeps the atmosphere light and gives each client what they need. For me, I tend to fall asleep midway through the cut because the experience is the first time during a busy week where I’m able to disconnect. For my 6 year old, often times, he finds it difficult to sit still. But he makes the time go by quickly. And before you know it, the cut is over! Every single time, we walk out of that shop refreshed, looking like new men, thanks to DeMarcos. He can cut anybody, and the shop has a multicultural clientele, but as a Black man in Phoenix, it’s difficult to find a barber that you’re comfortable with. DeMarcos is that barber and Ace of Fades is that spot.

Fantastic experience: Just got a cut from Amari after waiting for a long time and it was wooooooorth. I came from Cali looking for a new barber and failed a couple of times at a different spot. Finally tried this spot. The vibe is cool, everyone seems happy to work there. absolutely love the diversity at this place. Everyone seems on there A game. I was relieved to finally have a good barber help me out. Amari asked the perfect amount of questions. She studied my cowlicks and crazy straight hair on the left side and was able to successfully get a clean cut. A lot of barbers I been to don’t really pay much attention to detail but man was she on it. I will most definitely be coming back here. Finally found my shop and I couldn’t be happier.

Fantastic experience: Been in twice, Kyndall the first time and Isreal on the second occasion. Both are magicians and did fantastic jobs. On my third visit I got a cut from Daniel. These barbers all work at a high level and have the expertise and experience to provide a clean cut with great customer service. Their customer interaction is top not and these guys don’t miss. I trust them with my fade and refer people to them all the time.

The barbers are dope, shop has a good vibe and the owner is very polite/very accomodating of my crazy erratic schedule (healthcare provider). They are open to bookings with your favorite/preferred barber or regular walk-ins... I highly recommend.

Negative experience: The amount of "barbers" that have come in and out of here are ridiculous. But there have been some pretty good ones. The good ones never stick around. I refuse to go to this place, they just chop your hair up. Nobody knows how to cut hair. Decent environment, but everybody there is fronting. Oh I know how to cut hair, come sit in my chair. Promise you you're not going to be happy. Loose hairs, long hairs, uneven lines. These dudes don't know what they're doing. Pfft. I tip good too and you think they would remember that. I always regret it. Gave this place a try too many times.

Negative experience: Completely butched my hair, I asked for a low drop fade. Instead got more of a mid fade. Asked to cut off barley on top. Cut on almost all my hair. The fade was nonexistent, and my fringe was uneven. Don’t even want to go out after this experience. DO NOT, AND I MEAN DO NOT COME HERE. Horrible experience not worth $30 more like $8. Smh never come here please for your own sake.

From what I understand in speaking with the owner; each barber was hand selected and vetted to work at the shop. He wanted only the Best of Best to serve the clients that come in.
