Negative experience: Walked in today. I was not welcomed or felt welcome. There was no mention of how long I might have to wait. Lots of friendly chatting between the barbers, but I just felt there should have been greater focus on the customers. Left and got a cut elsewhere.

Negative experience: Five clients waiting for a haircut when my son arrived. Four hours later and left without a haircut as he was told that he had to wait for another 45 minutes. Very poor service!

Fantastic experience: Walked in & sat down on the wait area for 10 mins and we got seen too. I showed a reference photo to our barber sat down my nephew in the chair, he got straight into it. Our barber was patient with my nephew (7) always asking him questions which I appreciate. 25 minutes later he got exactly what he asked for and he was so excited and over the moon. Thank you for his cut!

Whangarei CBD is lucky to have Blokes Barber, there aren’t many local places where men of all backgrounds, cultures and ages can talk and connect while getting a quality cut

Negative experience: Took my son there on Thursday last week and the punched him in the jaw and now he’s in the hospital on life support, besides that cut wasn’t too bad

Negative experience: Short cut on top graded into a 3 and then a 2 on the sides was what I asked for, but cut was very uneven (some of the sides are longer and some patches looking bald, and I'm not losing hair). The only worse hair cut I have ever had was when someone slipped and left a completely bald patch. Tempted to go somewhere else now to get it all shaved off so it's "fixed". So hard finding a consistently good barber in whangarei, I won't go back here.

Negative experience: Took my son in today 13th bday .no service with a smile told to just sit outside and wait so did..she didn't really listen or care to listen to what cut I was trying to explain just took a quick look at the photo n said yeah swt..she said 20 mins I came back cut was done they were closed she charged my son $40 he said it was 10mins but he liked it cz it was fast. didnt look like the pic looked just like a fade no product ..was disappointed won't be going back so hard to find a barber who does it all good service n great affordable fast haircuts!

Negative experience: Got to shop minutes after 1pm today (closing time) and rang to ask if they were able to squeeze in one more cut for my son as customers were still in the shop. Was told in an uninterested manner that no, they couldn't as they had already packed up and left...I could see them through the window!!

Negative experience: At first I was quite surprised how fast they finished the haircuts of the other customers before me and I didn't have to wait long even though there were 4 other customers before me. However, when it was my turn and they asked me what I wanted, I showed them a picture of myself with the exact haircut I wanted and even explained it to them (and it is a quite simple haircut: short on the sides and back, a transition on the left side, a light cut on the right side and abit longer on top). Despite that, they managed to mess it up so much that I'm actually thinking about just going with a buzz cut. But to make the experience perfect, they didn't even try concentrating on the job they were doing but rather decided to stop working every few minutes to have a chat with their daughter about what she should text her boyfriend. All in all, the worst haircut I have ever gotten along with one of the worst customer services.

Fantastic experience: Took my 4 year old son in the morning. Very quick, just what I asked for. Only $20. They have TVs and comfy seats which is great for while you wait. No awkward bar stools or seats the main road like our old barber had.
