Fantastic experience: I’ve been getting my hair cut at Faded for many years now, and even though I don’t live in Reading, I always make the time to travel in for an appointment with Mashuk at Reading Faded. From day one, Mashuk has been consistently professional, friendly, and welcoming. Over the years we’ve built a great relationship, and he’s always knowledgeable and supportive whenever I want to try a new style or change my cut. With my busy schedule, it can be difficult for me to book far in advance, but Mashuk always does his best to fit me in, even at short notice, despite being fully booked most of the time. The whole team at Reading Faded creates a great atmosphere and positive vibe, which is why I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I’ll continue travelling in to get my haircut with Mashuk and would highly recommend him to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Mashuk at the Oxford Road branch for a few years now after my previous regular barber got lazy. He’s very professional, patient and has given me the best trims of my life. Women ask me for his number instead of mine – he’s that good. He once trimmed my hair so clean that it didn’t expire for about two weeks. I felt like the man. P.S he cuts hair better if you have food and restaurant recommendations for him to visit.

My eldest would not go anywhere else. He would only want me to book his cut, if Mashuk’s available and refuses to try anywhere or anyone else.

Fantastic experience: Faded set the bar for barbering and customer experience. They were one of the first to introduce an online booking system which has been a game-changer. Mashuk has been my go-to barber for many years now and consistently delivers any style of haircut I have asked for and always exceeds my expectations!

Fantastic experience: I brought my 11 year old son in today for a cut. We had booked an appointment with senior barber, Isaac, online. Isaac greeted us on the way in and was friendly and welcoming. My son has always been quite nervous of having his hair cut but today was an incredible and very cool experience. He showed Isaac a photo of what he wanted, and Isaac did a fantastic job making it happen, spending time to carefully give the best cut possible. I would highly recomend this place to anyone.

Fantastic experience: My son and I have been going to the guys at Faded for years. The new shop continues to offer top level barbering and a laid back atmosphere just like the one in Erleigh Road. The booking app is easy to use and saves you waiting for hours like some other places, the loyalty card system is a nice touch too, saving you a bit of money once in a while. Yes, there may be cheaper barbers around but in this case, you get what you pay for. Recommended

Fantastic experience: Faded Urban grooming is popular with men of all ages and this is because Jesse and Sam take barbering seriously and advise on a cut that will suit your look and style. Jesse and Sam have also cut my 5 year old son’s hair cut his hair and are so professional and gentle he usually falls asleep in the chair. The atmosphere in the salon is laid back and friendly and they always make you feel welcome. Once my son wanted a pattern in his hair and Sam improvised a design that was perfect for his age.

Fantastic experience: The quality of service and genuine care to detail at both locations are comparable to no other in Reading/Berkshire. These guys know what they are doing and I plan to stick with this company unless my circumstances change. The organisation of bookings is simplistic and can be done via a third party app called “near cut”. Reminders are sent via email/sms. Entertainment is available (PlayStation/music/conversation), if ever you do have to wait or have people waiting for you. Top shelf products and care advice is also available. So if you’re looking for a barbershop look no further. Ps they also have a loyalty scheme/reward stamp card for each visit, which leads to a free cut on your 10th visit

Negative experience: Turned up 5 minutes early only to get told my appointment was moved to the other store 2.5 miles away. Asked the staff to text my barber amd let him know I'm on my way which obviously they didnt. By the time i got there Jesse explained i was double booked. And despite being the one who booked first, his solution was to rebook me at 4pm o4 wait around all day hoping someone doesn't turn up. U can't expext paying customers to change their plans to the day as a result of your own admin errors. . Was hardly even apologetic about it... poor service
