Fantastic experience: Just like to say I have been using Amici barbers for a couple of years now and I am very happy with the service they provide. I personally use Sal, as he advised me on first vist that I was styling my hair in the wrong direction to its natural flow. He has been cutting my hair since then with care and consideration to my needs. I have also used the other barbers at Amici and have always been happy . Very friendly atmosphere , very clean and the barbers will chat or remain quiet by adjusting to each individual. I would highly recommend Amici barbers for a quality haircut and nice friendly environment- I for one will continue to use them for my haircuts Liam

Negative experience: I had an extremely disappointing experience at this barber. The haircut was terrible, and the customer service was even worse. After the cut, the staff didn’t even provide a receipt or ask for payment properly. They simply started the service for next person, didn't even look at me & told me to leave the cash and go, and if I didn’t have cash, I had to leave something behind and go get it. I chose this place based on its good Google rating, but now I feel misled, and it’s clear that the ratings aren’t genuine. I’m stuck with a bad haircut and a terrible experience. I won’t be returning.

Positive experience: Visited today for the first time. The barber was really friendly, had good music playing and the cut and shave was to a very high standard. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I had to stop after my haircut and wait for my shave so the barber could do an appointment at 11.30am. This wasn't the barbers fault as the other customer was late. I had to wait 20mins for my shave so wasn't the end of the world but I don't think someone's service should be stopped half way through for someone else. I'll definitely return as the cut and shave was just what I wanted. Maybe the appointments should be for a time slot and they get to jump the queue for the next available barber rather than stopping another customer half way through?

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Amici's for around 5 years. I take my sons. They give a great service and the cut is usually really good. High satisfaction all round. It can get busy at certain times, especially over the weekend; if you're going for a walk-in then it's best to time it right and avoid the busy periods. Otherwise you can book an appointment.

Fantastic experience: I'm in Reading for a couple months, working, and needed a hair cut. I didn't want a hatchet job and it was clear from reviews that Amici's was the front runner. They'd actually had a break in overnight, and they rang me to tell me things might be a little behind schedule. Good customer service from the off. As it happened, it was only a few minutes later, but it was great to know. The haircut was spot on. The guy who cut my hair was clearly a pro, asked at various stages if I was happy with the cut. He also tidied up my beard and gave me a really excellent cut throat shave. Then I had the ear hair burning and nose waxing. Absolute bargain for the package. I'll definitely be back next month and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great service- great cuts, styles, advise, and lastly they sell some nice hair products. My hair was to my mid-back and I decided to cut it off for charity. The barber had great advise and executed the style perfectly. The barbers are top quality. I advise all customers to make an appointment if possible. If you walk in at 4 to 4:30 pm and they are busy, you may wait thirty minutes to be told they must close the shop and can only do a basic haircut and nothing more, if that. If you walk in before closing times, and they are busy, they do not mind telling you that they can not cut your hair. Walk ins are welcome, however please remember they do have lives and responsibilities also so don't risk wasting your time by walking in after 4:30pm as you will most likely be turned away if they are busy. Barbers do have lives too.

Fantastic experience: Love this barbershop. Sal and the boys are great, nicr haircut and beard trim for a good price. Not the cheapest in town, but thats not what they're going for. Easily worth the £ though. I go every 3 weeks. They've also just refurbished as well so made the place even better. Motorcycle parking almost right outside on street, nearest and cheapest car park is probably Queens Road Car Park.

Negative experience: Did not do the style I asked for, left one side short and sticking up, and a bald patch looking area on the other. If you want the trendy short back and sides peaky blinders cut then sure, if you want anything else then go elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Visited for the first time on Sunday and was able to take a chair straight away. Was made to feel very welcome. As I had gel on my hair I requested a wash which the stylist did and then asked me how I would like my hair. I asked for suggestions which he came up with and proceeded to explain what he proposed to do which he then did with great attention to detail. Very pleased with the end result and the excellent service. And at a very reasonable price. Best haircut I’ve ever had. Will definitely be making Amici my regular barbers.
