The barbers will go above and beyond to get your haircut right, especially if you want to try a new style out. They will make the right steps and guide you on how long or how much hair you would need to get to your desired look! Fantastic experience: Amazing experience today, my son is autistic and hates his head being touched or anyone going near his hair, especially by his ears. Today Milan shaved his head and was very patient with my son who actually sat beautifully in the chair, he asked for me to take him to the barbers so that's what we did, will be booking in with Milan again very soon. Positive experience: I’ve been a regular customer at Reading Barbers for the past two years, and I can confidently say they offer consistently good service. Orlin, in particular, is excellent — he listens carefully to what you want and keeps the conversation engaging while working. I did have one bad experience with another barber some time ago, but he no longer seems to work there. Customer service can vary depending on the time you visit. During peak hours — typically Friday evenings to Sunday afternoons — things can feel a bit rushed, so if you want more personal attention, it’s best to go during quieter times. Haircuts and beard trims (together) are usually priced between £25 and £30, which I find reasonable for the quality of service.

Fantastic experience: Biliash is the best barber i’ve known been coming to him since aged 10 and now 25 always has time and a very friendly person!!

Fantastic experience: I asked for a medium taper fade the fade was the best haircut I think I’ve ever had, and they cut the hair perfectly. Not only that but the atmosphere was fun and good.

Negative experience: I would give zero stars. The barber(s) apparently do not know the meaning of “NOT! Under no circumstances! shorter than 2 centimetres”. Cut me down to under 10 millimetres and now I look bold. Never again.

Negative experience: This used to be the place to go for great haircuts in Reading but these days when I visit the workers are too busy chatting amongst themselves especially inappropriate conversations not for all customers' ears, I get work is sometimes boring and a conversation helps kill time but make that conversation appropriate or at least with the customer you are cutting hair (today there was no inappropriate conversations but on an average visit and all the regulars will know this, you will hear or see inappropriate or unneeded topics that might deem disrespectful to others). No one wants to hear topics about your personal views, desires, parties, etc, I won't go into the fine details here or name and shame, I will let the Manager handle that because that's not my Job. As I said it used to be really good, but now it's the House of Commons between barbers on an average visit. I took my child for a haircut and the guy probably messed it up and gave him a bald patch on the front of his head and he charged me full price for this which is why this is my first review and I have been coming here for years now. I have never noticed my son ever having a bald patch there before so the barber telling me this is making an excuse for his mistake or doesn't know how to cut afro hair, I rather him be honest and say I accidentally messed this up and this is the best solution rather than telling me "your son has no hair", at the end of the day what's done is done and a solution would have been better and preferred it's not all about the money but the truth is people are paying for a service and that's the bottom line. I will post the photo here and let the viewers make the judgement on this as I am not a professional barber but I am 99% sure my child never had this bald patch on his head before. A bit disappointed that there was no solution provided for this. My son had the very same haircut here multiple times now, has never had this patch and amazingly he has a cow lick problem. it baffles me, but looks like I said I am not a barber and I will check in with my friend who's a barber from London and send him the photos to get answers and to confirm this. From the photo's a barber who comes as my customer i showed them the photo and they reckon the barber could had slip the blade. Will fet further support on this until I get my full answer. (had to update this to respondedcommentsment.)

I went Saturday around 1 o clock, it was pretty busy , after 10 minute I was in the chair .( it looks busy but the que go fast ) I ask for medium skin fade and beard design, amazing job ! 100% I recommend it

Fantastic experience: Been coming here over 12 years. Fatmir and Bilash been looking after me consistently, but I’ve been to Genti, Abid and Johnny and never had a bad cut. Great Atmosphere in the shop, feels like a proper family unit in there! Sometimes out of circumstances I’ve had to get one of trims elsewhere because of location but Reading Barbers will always set the bar. There is levels to this craft and it’s why they’ve consistently been the best, always says something when majority of the barbers have been there over 6/7 years now, some over 10. Well run place, highly recommend!

Negative experience: I was served by the guy on the window on the left when you come inside. The guy was very unprofessional he was arguing with the other customer through out my haircut session which took him 1 hour to finish cutting my hair. After finishing he didn’t even show me the back of my hair if it was alright. When I got home and checked back of my hair it was ruined I was very angry! The manager should do something about him. Never coming there anymore.

Negative experience: I don’t know who cut my hair but he should have been honest enough to let me know that he doesn’t know how to cut type 4 hair. The haircut was so bad I had to shave off all my hair and just start afresh.

And the hair cut was not at all impressive and finally he winded up even without even combing my hair, no wax , no tissues . Very unprofessional and horrible service . Highly disappointed. Negative experience: Been here twice had absolutely great experience with the lady barber. However, this time not only I had to wait for an hour to get the cut but the barber who did my hair was extremely unprofessional, started off by complaining he had a bad day in gambling then you can literally feel the negativity when doing the cut. After the cut he didn’t even ask or put any wax. Didn’t pull out the mirror to show how he did to the back of my hair. No tissues or what so ever given to sort out the trimmed off left on the face. Extremely terrible service! What a shame towards the other hard working and talented barbers in the house.

Fantastic experience: I have been using Reading Barbers for years now and always aim to see Genti but the whole team, including Abid, Fab, Caius and Johnnie are all very experienced and have been there for years. I have also bought my 5 year old son for all of his haircuts so they look after all ages very attentively. It is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and it goes to show just how popular they are by the number of customers they have! Booking online on on their app helps guarantee an appointment but it is unlikely you will wait long with the number of team members they have. Couldn’t recommend enough and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: Been coming to reading barbers for over 7 years, travel 45 minuets every other weekend to see these guys. Unbelievable barbers, the best about by a mile. Great service, 10/10 every single time and I wouldn’t dream of changing barbers. If you have the choice book Genti he is the goat 5* always.
