Negative experience: Came in with a decent length mullet and like my long hair so I said I want a tiny bit of length with mostly texture. Did a decent job on the sides but completely destroyed my hairline. I hate complaining but also hate my hair just being chopped off with no texture.

Negative experience: I went to Cairns from Perth for one day. I went to HAIRPOP Shop on 22/12/25 . I paid $ 41.75 and they cut my hair uneven like non professionals. Even above the ears, the hair arc on one side is smaller and other side is bigger. Same is the situation from the back side with in even hair. I do not recommend them to anybody. Thanks

Negative experience: Always rushed, definitely quantity over quality for the business. Tried a different barber hoping a different outcome but no luck. Not worth the money. It’s hair and it’ll grow back but put some more effort in it.

Negative experience: What on earth was I thinking bringing my husband and kids at this barbershop, my son could’ve cut his hair better! Went in for a short back and sides and came out looking like it was chopped at and for the expense of much cost and arm and leg for this crap. My husband hate it’s cut so bad that he chopped his beautiful long beard off completely because they had chopped it so bad!

Negative experience: My primary school aged son usually comes here and gets his haircut and it's usually $31. Today we were charged $44.80. He used my bank card to pay while I waited outside. I suspect old mate who did the cut saw a kid with a bank card and got greedy. When I checked my account and saw the amount I went back and questioned it. I was told it was that much more for a fade. He didn't get a fade and if old mate thinks that's a fade I've got news for him. It's a bloody trim at best. And it's so small of a trim we'll have to go back (somewhere else obviously) in 2 weeks. Old mate babbled on about fades and some other BS but he knows what he did isn't a 45 dollar haircut. Disappointing but lesson learnt. Only giving 2 stars because most of the other guys are usually pretty good.

Fantastic experience: I walked in spontaneously and asked if they take walk-ins. Even though they were quite busy, Luca — the supervisor — managed to fit me in professionally and gave me a great haircut that I’m genuinely happy with. I’ve been searching for a new barber in Cairns for a long time, as many places seem to have dropped in quality — so I’m really glad I found this shop. They listened carefully to what I wanted, communicated clearly, and even used the blade to sharpen the edges, which I really appreciated. Thanks a lot for the great customer experience. Cheers, Pat

Fantastic experience: This is a gem of a barber! Had a 5 hr stopover and in Cairns and thought I would treat myself a tidy up trim… Walked in and was greeted by Francesco the Italian Stallion!! … mate this guy is a wizard with the scissors!! Highly recommend this fella

Positive experience: Five stars to Francesco who cut my hair today and used a cutthroat razor to shape my beard. My beard is very thick and difficult to cut. I have been other places that have cut my skin and left me bleeding, but Francesco was super skilled and professional. Grazie tanto. HOWEVER - The manager here is super rude and has been rude the 2 times I have been here. During my haircut, he was belittling Francesco and swearing at him in Italian. Last time I came here, he was speaking rudely in Italian to other staff too - Not knowing that I also speak Italian. Manager gets ZERO stars. This time, I decided to speak up and ended up having a conversation with Francesco after the incident. Hopefully the manager can control his behaviour in the future. I'll give this store one last try on my next haircut and see if it improves.

Negative experience: I showed the picture to the guy, asking just for a refresh. He cut super short and really bad. Not friendly and expeditious… just wanna cry when I see my hair, 55$ to cry.

Positive experience: Had one of the best cuts and beard trims I’ve had! Nayal was the Barber. He did an awesome job, a lot of attention. Only downside was the price. $94 for a short back and sides and beard trim. The price wasn’t agreed upon, and I didn’t receive a breakdown of the bill. Lack of transparency in what optional extras I was charged for was a bit disappointing.
