Negative experience: Friendly but don’t go there for a skin fade… they messed up even my wife could do the same result not being a barber/hairdresser.

Barb and her tribe of hairdressers are the best in town and will always provide the finest of cuts at insanely low prices. Remember to bring cash or you will have to pay the dreaded ATM fee to withdraw your hard earned dollaridoos.

Positive experience: I used to live in Cairns many yrs ago and i am familiar with this shop. As a qualified barber with my own shop in Adelaide..i found myself reading many of these reviews with next to nothing in reply from the owner which i think says a lot about their care factor. The most common thing i found people complaining about was price. Dear people..barbering is a skilled art that requires a 3yr apprenticeship with certification. For to many yrs people have expected to pay little for this service and it has to stop. Good barbers attract good client not bargain hunters. If you want a $10 service thats what will reflect in it. If you pay $50 then your experience should also reflect it. We are no longer living in the 80's..wages and cost of living has increased for everyone including barber shops. So STOP complaining about spending $10 ,$30 or $40..when you'll buy 3 scooners at the pub without complaining. You dont like it buy your own clippers and scissors and do it yourself.if your not happy with the barber go elsewhere.

Negative experience: Starting from $10 I only done side on #1 blade(one side blend in) They haven't touched top. Charged $30 very expensive for what they done and what's o the wall is very different not honest showing the actual price.

Negative experience: I was happy with the haircut I got but was very disappointed with how much I got charged. The price list said $20 which I thought was fine but during the haircut I got asked "would you like me to do your eyebrows" to which I agreed to and took approx 30 seconds to complete. When I went to pay the price had jumped by $10 just for the trimming of two eyebrows.That's an hourly rate of $1200!. I wish I had asked if there was a charge before agreeing to the eyebrows. I wonder if this overcharging is reserved for tourists like me or if everyone gets the same.

Fantastic experience: The only place you should get your hair done EVER! They did many highlights, a wash and a cut for $135 so kind and professional. My boyfriend was also very happy about his haircut! 10/10

I took a person I care for that is visually impaired in for an easy clipper number 1 high nothing else which on the board is $10 I watched her clipper his hair with 1 comb she did not change combs when she finished she told him she used 2 combs .. she lied .. I wasn’t going to say anything to see if she would be truthful but no. This is a horrible thing to do to a disabled person. We will not be returning and we will be telling people to stay away. SHAME ON YOU for taking advantage of people!

Negative experience: Been coming here for a while now but no more. It's a walk in set up so no booking required. This will suit some people. The issues are that everyone seems to want to wait for the owner or her daughter for a hair cut. If you get someone else it's a disaster. Waited half an hour for my son to get a 9 minute hack job for $25. They seem more interested now in discussing the price at the end of the cut rather than the quality. All pricing has to go through the owner as its a cash business. More like a shearing shed. On the pricing issue this place is no longer able to be considered reasonably priced. The charge is at least $30 for a supposed style cut no matter who does it. This is nearly comparable to all the really smart barbers in Cairns. Tip for the owner. If you want to charge premium prices offer a premium service, at least clean the clipper hair off people when they leave and offer a hot towel service or something suitable.

Fantastic experience: I have been having my hair cut here for years now. Sometimes a simple buzz cut and occasionally a more styled cut. The staff are friendly, very competent and the prices are very reasonable. I always just walk in off the street and never have to wait long.

Negative experience: The manager is a very rude person! Once she realised she was being caught out for taking advantage of a disable person she became very abrupt and spoke like she was a victim. Point blank she allowed her staff to rip off a person with a disability! Very low! Absolutely disgraceful! Word of mouth is a very strong way of having people avoid your barber.

Fantastic experience: My haircut place of choice. They cut women's hair, I ask for mine to be cut with layers and they do that. They're quick and professional without rushing and being hasty. You do have to pay in cash, but when a haircut costs only $25, it's worth it!

Positive experience: I stopped in for a shave and have a mixed review. On the good side, the staff were all friendly, the shop very clean and the chatter from the other customers all positive. I got the feeling many were happy repeats. On the negative the shave was very average.
