Fantastic experience: This was my first experience taking my boys (6 & 8) to a barber shop and it was a wonderful experience. Christian was their barber and he was so kind and good with both of them, and their hair looks better than it ever has. Both of my boys get very anxious about haircuts and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing, and they told me after we left that they want to come here for their cuts from now on! Negative experience: Been going here for a few years, unfortunately within the last 6 months quality has declined and the location constantly cancels. Would definitely recommend a different barber for more consistency.

Negative experience: Went here last October and got an amazing cut. I came back today and got served by Will. My hair looks absolutely chopped. I told him I wanted a 2 on the sides with a fade and a short modern pompadour cut on top. He made me look like a rooster and completely bald on the sides. I have to go to my old barber to get the top fixed. Will not be returning to this location.

Fantastic experience: I’ve taken my boys (age 15 and 6) to a variety of hair cut establishments. The teenager always hated every experience. He was more than pleased with our first trip to Blue Star. Will B did a great job. Both boys enjoyed his service. I appreciated they got great cuts and Will talked to them like real people. He took time to ask them questions and make the experience pleasant. I liked how appointments are available to schedule online, available on Sunday, and easy to make with little lead time. We will definitely be repeat customers.

Fantastic experience: I bring my son here to see Megan for his haircuts. He has a lot of anxiety around going out because he's a wheelchair user who is autistic. Megan is wonderful. She never makes him feel different or less. She's very accommodating while never making it seem like she's treating him differently. The haircuts Megan gives my son are always exactly what he wants and give him so much confidence. We will never go anywhere else. I would recommend this location and Megan to anyone.

Negative experience: This place has plummeted in quality. Don’t let the 4.5 star Google Rating fool you. This place has been around for nearly a decade — look at the more recent ones. Three issues with this place: 1. Barber Quality — I came in to a get a quick cleanup before taking a three month trip abroad. I ended up being assigned a young girl who clearly was in training, telling me she had just started. When it came time to do my fade, she told me she needed to get a colleague to help her because her last barber shop didn’t teach her how to fade. Three times, she literally had to get another barber to come clean up her work. My head ended up being butchered, and I had to go to two other barbers to attempt to repair it. I got charged full price and it took an hour. 2. Pay More for Less — the “Blue Star Cut” since its inception, was supposed to include a shoulder and neck massage; they still have the hand massagers next to each station. This used to be a staple of the Blue Star Cut, and for the last two years, they have not once done it in the half dozen times I’ve come in. Yet you’re still paying for it. 3. Poor Service — I booked an appointment two days in advance. I show up 10 minutes early and there was nobody at the front desk. Finally, at 11:35 (five minutes after my appointment was scheduled to start), they check me in, only to inform me that my barber called in sick. Despite knowing that all day, they didn’t bother to call me ahead of time. I wasted nearly an hour round trip, and because they never have more than two people working now, I would’ve had to wait 30 minutes, which I couldn’t because of a work meeting. Bluestar has gone from a high end, classic barber experience with white glove service to a pretty looking, overpriced Great Clips. Lipstick on a pig. If you want to pay $40 all-in for your cut, you’re better off going elsewhere.

Negative experience: I was told to come in at 6:30 and when i showed up the lady in the front desk said “they put you on 6, but you can come at 7:30” Could have at least been honest about what their schedule so not mess mine up! This issue happened again and i was charged for a no show even tho i rescheduled my appointment. Annoying system of reservations they have. I recommend either do a walk in or just not going there at all..

Negative experience: Disrespectful and terrible customer service. Waited for 25 minutes after checking in for a pre-scheduled appointment, and had to ask why the wait only to be told that the barber was still running long on a previous client. No notice was provided when I checked in or sincere understanding of my frustration. The staff had plenty of excuses, but no accountability for their poor service.

Negative experience: Last time I visited this location I had to wait 15 minutes after my appointment start time to be seen. Today I was 8 minutes late and I was told my spot had been given to a walk in, when I asked if I could wait to see if there was an opening I was told no and that I had to come back in 3 hours or tomorrow. The receptionist was very rude.

Fantastic experience: Been here twice now, and both times I've gotten an EXCEPTIONAL cut! I'm non-binary and really like having a classy short hair cut and even though I was kinda vague on the details both stylists nailed it and made me look fantastic. I love the look of the place too, it feels old school but a lil new and clean. I'll happily go back again next time I need a trim. I will say if it's a weekend you should make an appointment! But that's not a complaint, just an observation haha!

Fantastic experience: Erica was just fantastic. She was a little late for our appointment, due to a miscommunication, but when she cut my hair, I could tell that she really cared about making the buzz cut even and looking sharp. Negative experience: Was going to be a few minutes late so I called to make sure that would be okay. Associate assured me it was 'no problem at all'. I got there 8 minutes late, waited for 5 minutes while the associates were in the back, and was then told that because I was more than 10 minutes late that they could not serve me. Negative experience: I've been coming the this place for 5 years and I will never go back. Their quality and customer service has been declining for a few years now, but the hair cut I got today is the worst I've ever received. I think I could of gotten a more even cut, cutting it my self blinded folded. The worst part is, I asked the barber if he thought it was a good hair cut and he thought it looked great.

Negative experience: This is my second time coming in, it was a Sunday afternoon and they said that they don’t have availability until 2 hours later so I gave them my phone number so they can call me if something opens up. They call me to come in 20 mins later so I come back and I still had to wait 10 minutes before they could actually get me seated. The man I had was very nice and seemed nice. I sat down and he spoke so quiet that I had to keep asking him to repeat what he said. The haircut was fine but I had to direct him about what to do. I specifically came here ti get hot towel wraps and a head massage for my shampooing. I got none of it. I was so disappointed at the end because I already paid and the receptionist didn’t offer a refund or insist on a discount. I obviously didn’t wanna be a Karen so I just told the receptionist that I didn’t like the service and how my barber didn’t do a massage or hot towel. Walked out in tears because I just payed so much money and got none of it. Wish they trained their employees better than this

Fantastic experience: Laquisha is our girl, best barber that gives my husband the cut that fits him and btw my husband is Native American + German so the wild hair battling between weather to be curly or straight so its never easy to get the perfect cut

Fantastic experience: The staff were absolutely incredible about being able to get me in after I had misbooked my appointment. Megan was above in beyond in making me feel welcome and her attention to detail in making sure my haircut was spot on. The razor clean-up was a nice touch - most places don't do that anymore. Will definitely make another appointment the next time I need a trim.

Fantastic experience: I found Blue Star after my last barbershop closed due to the pandemic. I chose any available stylist my first visit. That person was Nicole at the Easton location. After my first haircut by her, I refuse to let anyone else cut my hair. She is very patient and friendly. I enjoy our conversations. She is very talented. I recommend Nicole and Blue Star to anyone that is looking for a haircut at an affordable price.

Fantastic experience: Great place to get a haircut! Staff is really friendly & flexible. Facility is clean and follows safety protocols (COVID). Highly recommend if you haven't been here, you will have a new favorite place to go!

Fantastic experience: First time at this shop. I'm never going anywhere ever again. Everything was amazing. I look and feel like a superstar. My barber, Tre is a treasure to her craft. Plenty of space. Making an appointment was very easy. I will definitely be recommending this barbershop to any and everyone that needs a quality haircut or beard trim/shave.

Fantastic experience: Been here a few times and with a few different barber's. But every time I just have to vaguely explain the look I like and they make it amazing every time. Not to mention some of the best prices out there for a hair and beard cut. And definitely worth the price. Not to mention a clean shop with great music and decor. A hard combo to beat. I try to wait to get a haircut till I am in Columbus to be able to go here

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here. First time I had ever been, walked in on a Saturday late morning and they were able to get me in almost immediately. Latisha did an awesome job, was super quick and friendly and did a great job with my wildly curly hair. I have never actually cared about going back to a specific person, but I really liked the attention Latisha put in with me, making sure I got what I wanted. Will be back!

Fantastic experience: Shop is very clean and followed all safety protocols. Latisha is awesome!! It usually takes me months to find a good barber when I first move but this time a found one on my first try. I’ll definitely be using her from now on.

Negative experience: Called to ask if any walkins available, they said yes, then I asked if I could come in now, they said yes. I went there right away and he said walk ins are filled up come back in 2 hours. Walked out... Cant be telling customers to come in like that, tell them ur busy and make an appointment instead of wasting people's time. I've been here a few times, quality of ur cut definitely depends on who cuts it for ya, some know what's up, others not so much...debating on finding a new spot for a cut after today's fiasco. Update 11/09/21 gave them another star for a good haircut but forgot to do the shoulder rub which is included in the 23$ package cut. Made an appointment this time.

Positive experience: The staff was kind of off putting. Seemed like there was tension within the barbers. The girl who cut my hair did a great job, just wasn't very friendly.

Positive experience: The website says walk-ins welcome, but upon my walk-in around noon, I was told I couldn’t be seen until the next day. I’m fine with that, just take the 10 minutes to update your website so people don’t waste their time. Can’t comment on their haircuts — I’m sure they’re great.
