Fantastic experience: They were able to slide me in on short notice. I picked first time client consult, ended up getting a haircut and was told they couldn't add my beard trim later - though I couldn't add on the site. Still a great cut and kind. Got past that minor annoyance, just realize first time client appt is seperate from the services you want apparently.

Fantastic experience: It really is unfortunate that the highest score possible is a 5. Mary, as usual, is wonderful. One time after a cut, I walked outside and a horde of goblins tried to carry me away. Mary single-handedly fought them off with nothing more than a fork and a baseball. They’ve never returned. I think the courage she showed that day speaks for itself.

Negative experience: These guys are typically great but latest experience was a let down and the last straw. $50 for only 30 minutes and telling me you cannot finish the haircut because your next client is here (15 min [33% of the appointment] before my appointment ends) is insane. Especially since the barber in question has never had an issue cutting into 10 minutes of my appointment time to finish someone else’s haircut. If you need more time to cut hair, cut down on the barbershop banter. Unfortunately, this is not the first time my 45-minute appointment was cut short. Time to find another barbershop.

Fantastic experience: Holy Moses is the perfect barber shop. Booking is easy, the cancellation policy is reasonable, prices are fair for high quality services, and ALL of the employees are friendly and experienced. I see Mary for all of my haircuts, she's phenomenal! She is professional, kind, conversational, and excellent at her craft; I highly recommend Mary!

Fantastic experience: Aubrey is a straight-up hair wizard. I walk in with vague hand gestures and half-baked descriptions like, “kinda shorter but not too short, you know?”—and somehow, he nails it every single time. It’s like he reads my mind, but only the part that knows what a good haircut looks like. On top of that, he’s super chill, great to talk to, and makes the whole experience feel more like catching up with a friend than sitting in a barber chair. 10/10, would trust him with my head again.

Fantastic experience: 3rd time here, I was hesitant and I haven't been in a few months because the last time was not a great experience so I went to a different location and... Really solid haircut, I was unsure what I wanted when I went in and I mentioned that I'd had a couple bad cuts recently and was especially nervous about the beard trim which is why I decided to spend the extra money and go to holy Moses and I wasn't disappointed! 10/10... she even said if I look in the mirror in a couple days and I didn't like it that she would fix it! Which is a first for me. You definitely get what you pay for but 90 bucks with a tip I can probably only afford to go once every month or 2. Still happy with it though!!

Fantastic experience: In town for a conference, needed a quick cut early in the morning. Not only was Holy Moses open earlier than most other shops, but they were energetic and welcoming! A great experience and a rad environment. Whether you are a local or in town- get a cut and beard trim here!!

As a woman with a pixie, I had the hardest time finding a stylist who could give me the textured, androgynous look I was going for and Meghan nails it every single time. She gives me the scissor texture of my dreams and my haircuts grow out so nice too. Ive never been able to stretch a short haircut so long, at this point I schedule return visits just because I miss Meghan not because my hair needs it. As someone who used to dread haircuts it's genuinely emotional when I get to walk into Holy Moses feeling excited and happy, knowing I am going to look/feel like myself. Thank you Meghan! <3

Fantastic experience: I don’t post reviews much, but wowza. I’ve never had such a great experience getting a haircut. The Grandview location is a super chill vibe (I kept making eye contact with their portrait of Willie Nelson and I couldn’t help but feel his approval) and everyone is super professional (albeit, very friendly and charismatic)! Chaz made me look like a million bucks, and was super excited about the direction that I wanted to go with my hair. Super easy conversation with him. I used to get my hair cut like once a year and let it grow out. But I really dig what he did for me and I want to keep this style going for a while. These guys have a passion for what they do and it really shows. Highly recommend Holy Moses! (Please forgive the before photo, I’m working on branding for my music and was going for a vibe)

Fantastic experience: I switched to Holy Moses back in September when looking for a new barber. I have been thoroughly impressed not only with the location and staff but also the barber Matt. He always takes care of me and would highly recommend Holy Moses and Matt. Happy I found a new place to save me the 40 min drive to my previous salon.

Fantastic experience: My hair had always been a disaster = never conforming to the direction of my comb. That until I walked into Holy Moses and had Chaz attack my hair . . . Obviously, he is a professional who knows how hair grows & flows and his cutting style coaxes it to flow the way I want - naturally. Despite the long drive I happily visit Chaz every month and a half. Conversations are great too!

Fantastic experience: Being my first experience at Holy Moses, I was a little unsure of what to expect, but Zach quickly put my mind at ease. His attention to detail and communication made me feel totally comforted. I knew I was in good hands as soon as I took a seat. Fantastic experience: Holy Moses is great. I receive my hair cuts from Justin, and I enjoy his company and his talent. This is a great spot with a great atmosphere. I need to make sure that my "hard-part" is done correctly, and that each side is faded and/or styled correctly. So I appreciate having a stylist that knows what they are doing and can do it with the same precision every time.

Fantastic experience: I take my haircuts more seriously than most things in life—probably more seriously than I should. After my regular barber jumped ship to another salon that then went "ladies only" (talk about a plot twist), I’ve been on a bit of a hair-raising adventure trying to find someone who gets it right. And trust me, I’ve had some *bad* haircuts along the way. Enter Julia at Holy Moses, the hero of my hair story. She nailed it! Not only did she give me exactly what I asked for, but she kept checking in during the cut to make sure everything was on point. Plus, she made the whole experience super relaxed—great conversation, great atmosphere, and, most importantly, a great haircut. Long story short: Julia’s got the magic touch, and I’ll definitely be back. My search for a good haircut is finally over—and my hair and I are very relieved!

Negative experience: Pretty frustrated with Tiff and Holy Moses. I got my first haircut there 4 weeks ago. Had to wait about 10-15 minutes for Tiff to finish up with the person before me, but I consider that normal. I was happy with the cut and made an appointment to come back. Today I go in for my appointment. I was 8 minutes late due to traffic. Wouldn’t think that was a big deal, as again, I waited 15 minutes last time. Well, I was told I’d have to reschedule because she had another after me. I decided not to reschedule as I have no interest in going back if that’s how it works. So I’ll be looking for another barber shop.

Recently took my kid for a hair too and she did a great job with his hair too. Parking can be rough, but worth it!

Fantastic experience: I was traveling to West Virginia and Columbus was one of my stops. I decided to book a last minute haircut with Marissa. From what I saw she just recently started working at Holy Moses. Its always a little scary getting a cut from someone you've never been to before. Marissa seriously gave me one of the best haircuts of my life. If I lived near by she would be the only Barber I would ever go to. Thanks again for giving me such an awesome cut and hope life treats you well!

Fantastic experience: Love this place. My first time there I entered hopeful I’d find the barber for me, I left with a smile on my face knowing I had. Everyone there was super friendly and had great energy. Matt did a fantastic job cutting my hair but even better was his friendly and welcoming demeanor. Fantastic experience: Loved my experience, thorough, gentle, and an overall great cut and shave. Zach really was excellent and was willing to match energy with me as I was pretty quiet and nervous since I had never been before. But by the end I was feeling relaxed because he was great.

Fantastic experience: Ian has given me great cuts everytime over the past year ! Very detailed and listens to what you want. Asks for feedback along the way. Makes suggestions when needed but does not make you feel pressured. Good with beards and short to medium mens hair ! Makes you feel welcome for the entire length of the cut.

Fantastic experience: Holy Moses is one of the best shops in the city, and for better or worse, they know it. You can get a great haircut in a lot of places, but I've been coming here for a while now because I've finally found a barber/stylist who's taken the time to understand my weird head and figure out what works best for me. I've yet to have a bad cut.

Fantastic experience: Zack did a great job taking care of my grandson and me yesterday. My nine year old grandson and I both got haircuts and I got a much-needed beard trim. This was my second appointment with Zack; he’s a highly skilled and highly personable barber. I appreciate a scissor cut and Zach handles scissors with precision. I switched to Holy Moses after having gone to the same barber shop and barber for over 15 years; I just needed a change. Lucky for me, I found Holy Moses and booked my first appointment with Zach - he’s definitely become my go-to barber. On a side note, my grandson has tactile sensitivities and doesn’t like getting his hair combed or head touched. Needless to say, he was in desperate need of a haircut. With a bit of communication beforehand, Zach did an awesome job - my grandson really liked his haircut and told his parents about Zach and all the “cool stuff” Zach used on him while he was there. He said, “Holy Moses isn’t a “cookie-cutter” kind of barber shop like the ones my friends go to.” I’m pretty sure Zach has gained another regular client. In my opinion, Holy Moses is a contemporary barber shop with good music, impeccable cleanliness, a comfortable and spacious waiting area, and all-around great customer service.

Negative experience: I was 9 minutes late and was refused service I begged the staff to let me wait for as long as it would take offering a tip of 100 dollars and anything that it would take and got no sorry or any empathy at all. This is the only day off I have with the vp of my organization in town and rushed to get here. I will be working 14-16 hours daily for the next couple weeks with no time for this and I am just so confused and disappointed. I even called to schedule this at 10 am and when I asked if the 530 time slot was too late given they close at 7 was assured it would be no problem and they would get me in

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to see Jordan for well over a year now and he’s a fantastic barber and a wonderful guy. Typically booking a haircut and dropping $40 is something everyone dreads but I look forward to seeing and talking with him every time. The atmosphere of the shop is unbelievable and more times than not conversations with Jordan spill over into debates and conversations with the other guests and barbers. It’s an unmatched place and one everyone should consider going to.

I regularly get a fade + men’s cut for $50 every two weeks, very much worth it considering how difficult it is to find a barber who you consistently like in new areas - again, you’re safe with literally any of the individuals here

Fantastic experience: 3rd time at the Grandview location since I moved to OH six months ago. First two times was OK, trial and error, and the third time is indeed a charm! Meghan is easy to talk to and certainly knows what she is doing. I wanted to have the back shortened a bit more and she dissuaded me from doing that. Glad I listened, even though a bit hesitantly. Will be back.

Fantastic experience: Meghan gave both of my boys great haircuts. She was very kind about the extra work of creating multiple ponytails so that the boys could donate their hair. My eldest son loves his cut (possibly the first professional haircut he has loved in years!), and my youngest is rocking his as well. Thank you!

Positive experience: I’ll start off by saying the place is very clean and everyone is very nice, which is why I gave 2 stars. As far as the haircut and price that’s another thing. $35 for a haircut that I could’ve got at greatclips and they didn’t even bother touching my beard or even asked me if I wanted anything done to it. Every barbershop I’ve ever gone to, the barber always asks me if I want anything done to my beard, I guess I expected the same at holy moses. I’m sure they would’ve charged me an additional $15 anyway. This barbershop was just not for me.

Fantastic experience: I've been to a lot of different barber shops in Columbus, but finally found my go to spot in Holy Moses. Jordan is awesome and always gives a great, consistent haircut. I always feel good walking out of Holy Moses

Negative experience: The stylists here are great at what they do but I had a TERRIBLE customer experience here with Madison (front desk) and Mary (stylist). For the record I’ve been a regular and have exclusively had my haircut here every 3ish weeks for the last 8 months and always tip 25%-35%. Today they just lost a long term customer. Called an hour ahead of my appointment to ask if it would be OK if I were 10 minutes late. I spoke to Madison on the phone, and was specifically told “we have a 15 minute grace period, and your appointment is for 45minutes, so as long as you check in by 5:15 you will be fine but because Mary has another client right after you, if you arrive after 5:15 we would have to cancel”. I showed up at 5:10, exactly 10 minutes late as previously discussed. Had to stand in line and checked in successfully by 5:12 and was sent to the waiting area to wait. After waiting for 2 minutes Mary came and introduced herself and had me sit in her chair. She then explained because I was late she would only be able to “clean up the sides with a trimmer” and couldn’t touch the top of my hair (not even acknowledging how ridiculous that would look, nor acknowledging that $40 to “trim the sides” is ridiculous). I told her that I had called ahead, spoke to Madison who said this would all be OK over the phone, and even pulled Madison into the conversation to confirm. All I got was “sorry, there is nothing we can do”. I am so upset about this - I would have cancelled if I was told this ahead of time. I loved getting my haircuts here but sadly will not be coming back.

Fantastic experience: This was our first time here. My son had the best haircut he’s ever gotten with Jordan today. We loved everything about Holy Moses. Jordan was kind, cool, and talented. It was top notch and we will be back!

Moreover, all of the other workers at Holy Moses are extremely friendly and professional, so the entire experience is fantastic. I gave him an idea of what I usually get and trusted him to do his own version of it, and it turned out incredible! Hands down my favorite haircut I've ever gotten, and well worth the money. Fantastic experience: Holy Moses has been my go-to haircut place for a few years now. I drive a half hour from the suburbs to get here and its worth it. Cord cuts my hair well and is a chill conversationalist as he does it. I value good service and consistency, and I get both here.
