Fantastic experience: Best haircut I've gotten since I moved to Atlanta 15 years ago. Kevin paid much more attention to detail than other barbers I've had and I could see the difference in the quality of the style afterwards. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Brandi is a master of her craft! I’m always impressed by her attention to detail—she nailed the clean taper on the sides and the textured look on top exactly how I wanted it. The shop has those great old-school barber shop vibes, but with the modern convenience of online booking, which makes getting in her chair a breeze. If you want a sharp, professional cut and a consistent experience, Brandi is the one to see. Highly recommended!

Positive experience: $45 for a standard cut. Did not answer the phone and their prices are not listed online, so I drove all the way here to figure out how expensive it was. Barber was hard to understand. I did not get a cut so rating 4 just to not degrade the reviews too much, but frustrated with the poor communication/lack of transparency.

Negative experience: I've had great experiences here with multiple stylists Always getting compliments when I leave. I have a big meeting coming up and I was thinking, although just getting a haircut a few weeks ago, I could stop in for a quick second to get a few minute sharpening up. Like a quick trim of the hairline for straight lines or a quick alignment to make sure the beard is even. The gentleman who answered sounded older and of darker complexion, he was extremely rude, very snobby and responded to me saying " a haircut is $40 in " " sir we don't do that " I asked quote so you guys are turning away money? " Hey then just hung the phone up. Clearly not the type of employee you wouldn't want in your business. Think how many times this happens a week now over 10 years how much money is a business missing out on if they have employees who let that five that 10 that $20 walk right out of the store. Clearly not a man of economics building relationships long-term customers. Very very disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I was in Atlanta coming from a trip in Europe, and had been looking for a professional spot to get my hair done. I found West Barber Shop and booked with Kevin West, and scheduled for a low fade haircut. The atmosphere was amazing and very inviting, with very friendly staff. Kevin did a phenomenal job and knew exactly what I was looking for. He is truly an artist at his craft and I have not found any barbers like him. I will be looking forward to getting my haircut the next time I am in Atlanta, and recommend this shop to anyone looking for a top notch haircut in the area.

Negative experience: Sorry to say the barber does not know how to provide a decent haircut. He had no idea how to shape and where to cut how long. Inspite of repeated suggestions, he did not get it. I was not looking for a fancy cut. I just wanted him to maintain the same shape of hairdo that I came into the shop with. But even this could not be done by the barber. This is not to offend anyone, but I am writing this review in the hope that this shop will improve and be able to do a good job on a simple haircut. My best wishes.

Fantastic experience: Been going to West Barber Shop for about a year and a half, Kevin does an excellent job and is very friendly. When I schedule ahead of times I’m in and out within 20 minutes and never have to wait, though they do walk-in’s as well. The hot lather neck shave at the end is a nice touch as well. Fantastic experience: I’ve tried many barbershops in Atlanta throughout the years, but I always come back to West Barbershop. Why? I don’t think there’s any place in the city that strikes a better balance of quality, convenience, and affordability. At this point, I’ve had my hair cut by Kevin and several other stylists. They all give a consistently great haircut in under 30 minutes. In fact, I most recently got a great haircut from Anna, who managed to mask some of my, ahem, thinning on the top. Combine this with the fact that West Barbershop charges about 30% less than other “high end” barbershops in the neighborhood, and what’s not to like? If you’re looking for a new place to try, I would definitely give West Barbershop a shot!

Fantastic experience: Wow! This place is awesome. This is an experience that is way beyond what I imagined a barber shop would be like. It's in a cool location, is very attractive on the inside, and the stylist (Barbers) are great - both in talent and efficiency. They do a great job of turning nothing into a work of art. My cut is always clean and precision-like. They make my beard look cool. And the extras they add, like warm cloths and oils, make me feel rich and classic. Millionaires ain't got nothin on me - 'cept maybe millions - hahaha. Really, I always leave the place feeling really good and looking really good. For a great cut see Kevin, Anna or Brandi. The prices are reasonable and the cuts are consistently sharp.

One of the biggest reasons I’ve stayed with Anna is that she always remembers how my hair cuts between visits. The location is convenient and the actual salon is small and cozy and not too loud. Fantastic experience: Kevin has been cutting my hair for seven years and he always does a great job. Unlike some other shops in town, he takes the full 30 minutes and is very thorough. The best part is the steam towel and shave at the end.

Negative experience: Inconsistent with quality of haircuts. Sometimes good sometimes okay. Thought Kevin knew my haircuts after going to him multiple times. Cut my hair way too short. Very sloppy around ears and sideburns. No neck shave or steam towel performed

Negative experience: I recently moved back to the area, and heard west barber shop was good with fades. I asked for a mid fade with a drop in the back, and even showed a picture with a reference as to what I want. From the get go the barber was pushing hard on the clippers like I was back boot camp, and then went way too high, before I could say anything. It was too late. I told the barber that wasn't what I asked for and that's higher than I asked for. The barber brushed it off and didn't say anything. I'm never going back there, waste of 40 dollars and now I look like I'm fresh out of boot camp. **Update- Management later contacted me and remedied the situation. Very professional of them.

Negative experience: I had an absolutely terrible experience at this shop. I went here on a recommendation from a friend but I've never encountered such an unfriendly atmosphere. I went during the height of covid so I've attributed a majority of the nasty environment to the stressful times but this was the MOST unpleasant haircut experience I've ever had. Completey unfriendly and unwelcoming staff, including the owner. 0/10.

It's hard to find a good barber, so I was slightly skeptical lol. But Jenny was amazing! Not only was she able to fit me in her schedule within the time frame I needed mid work day, but the cut I requested far exceeded my expectations! I give her and this barbershop 5/5 ALL DAY!

Fantastic experience: This location is great. Everyone is hardworking and the haircuts are amazing. Kevin has cut my hair twice and he doesn't disappoint. One thing I noticed about Kevin's style of cutting is how it grows back. I get a skin fade and he does it in a way that when it grows back it's not everywhere! Fantastic experience: I had scheduled an early morning appointment with Kevin. He was on time & his barbershop was very clean . I usually ask for a beard trim, line-up, and a haircut. He was very professional and I can tell he is skilled at what he does. I would definitely recommend for someone who wants a clean environment and a great haircut to check this place out.

Negative experience: My first and last visit - Very Disappointing. Several days in advance, I booked an appointment with the shop owner, Kevin West. For brevity's sake, I'll give these few details. (1) Kevin was late to the appointment and offered no apology, (2) The shop was dirty, especially Kevin's chair and work area - other people's hair was everywhere - in the chair, on the floor, and on the towels, (3) Kevin seemed rushed during my haircut, presumably making up for the lost time when he was late, and (4) I received the worst haircut I think I've ever had. Kevin never turned the chair towards the mirror so I could see what he'd done, nor did he ask my opinion. The haircut was so bad that I did not go home. Rather, I drove to another shop directly after leaving and paid another barber to try to fix the lousy cut - and she did. Yes, I could have complained before I left, and maybe I should have. But I was ready to get out of there and chose not to be confrontational. So, two haircuts same day - one to fix the other - Ended up costing me $100. Lesson learned.

Fantastic experience: Anna B. is my stylist. I absolutely recommend her for your next hair cut and styling. I’ve followed her from 3 different salons and I don’t trust anyone else to my hair. She made house call through out Covid. My partner also now sees her for his hair cutting needs. Please consider her for your next hair cut!

Negative experience: Very awkward experience. I walked in with no appointment because they said "walk ups welcome" and was met with nothing but blank stares and turned heads. Was finally told to have a seat and then pretty much ignored until I just decided to leave. One blonde lady was nice and at least asked me if I had an appointment. It's a shame because I live near by and was looking for a new barber shop. I guess I'll find another place.
