You can tell right away he takes real pride in his work — every line, taper, and blend is clean and intentional. He doesn’t rush, he just makes sure it’s right. The vibe at this location is also great. It’s rare to find someone who consistently nails both the cut and the experience, but Jake does. If you want someone who listens, has an eye for precision, and delivers a sharp, consistent look every time, he’s your guy. Highly recommend them and this location. ✂️

Negative experience: I’ve been a regular customer for years and highly recommended you to friends. Very disappointed that when I showed up to my appointment and was told you couldn’t cut my hair when I was a few minutes past your “cut off” time. If you check the history on my account, you would know you absolutely had time to finish my haircut. Then you charged me as if I had missed my appointment. If this is how you treat loyal customers, I will no longer be taking my business to your establishment.

Fantastic experience: BarberX is clean and friendly. Added bonus they give you drinks while you wait! Now that Jake works their, they get 10/10

Negative experience: Came in to get a beard trim and straight razor shave before my wedding. I was happy they were able to squeeze me in last-minute, but the work was sub-par and not worth the cost. It felt rushed (the Deluxe Beard Trim is supposed to be 30-45 minutes and it took maybe 20), and I realized later that my neckline was cut pretty unevenly. I wouldn't have stopped to write a review like this if it wasn't almost $60 after tip. If this is a high end service it should feel like one.

Positive experience: Joanna did her best but unfortunately I'm not sure she is ready to cut hair at a professional level. I am also somewhat disappointed the shop would charge full price for an apprentice cut which ended up taking an hour and required help from another barber.

Fantastic experience: Vanessa Viera is the best barber they have in this establishment. She was previously the manager, but decided to dial that back when she realized that she couldn't help but give undecided clients the Karen cut, even if it was their own goddamn fault. And don't bother to ask for the manager, because that gets you back to her (revised, they have a new manager, because really, who wants to manage?). To be honest, she is way rad, and knows how to cut mens hair. I literally drive 30 minutes because she knows exactly what I want, even without me asking.

Fantastic experience: I'm new to Denver and needed to find a new barber - I did my research by looking at reviews on Google and Yelp and intentionally picked Lauren at BarberX and am really happy with my choice! Customer Service / Space: I took a spill on my bike on my way to BarberX (completely my fault) and they were able to provide me with a bandage. The option of getting a drink is always nice, even if I didn't partake. Everyone was super nice and friendly. The space is very stylish and modern. For someone like myself that looks for a high quality barbershop that offers not only great barbers but a good experience, BarberX certainly hits the mark. Haircut: I chose Lauren based on her good reviews across the board and she was great! Very personable and very knowledgeable. I am currently aiming for a new hair style but don't really know how to go about achieving it myself. Lauren was really great at listening to what I envisioned, answering my questions or explaining things I didn't know about how to achieve my desired hairstyle, and bringing that to life. The haircut itself was great! Additionally, for this new style it will be a process as my hair continues to grow, and Lauren was great about explaining that, making notes in my profile for next time (I love the attention to detail and customer service with making notes like this), and explaining what I can do in the meantime to help me along that process. Definitely will be back to see Lauren! Overall: Great experience! 10/10 would recommend. Not the cheapest haircut you will find but I think it is priced very appropriately for the quality of haircut and customer service.

Negative experience: Super overpriced for what they provide. No hate just honest review. Got deluxe cut. No fade, uneven, mediocre haircutting skills. Really no style just haircut. Do not recommend. Gave it a try because of the high ratings. Turns out all the 5 stars reviews are not trustworthy. If this review gets pushed down under all the “5 stars” reviews, you should know why. Again no styles at all just cutting hair. That’s why it’s overpriced. If you still want to go, your discretion advised.

Fantastic experience: I was in town visiting a friend and need a haircut. He suggested that I go to Molly. Molly knocked it out of the park! Molly cut my hair exactly as I wanted it! 10 of 10 would recomend!

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost, this place makes you put your card down to book an appointment and has no refund policy. I booked an appointment at 9:30am through their website, even though they advertise that they don’t open until 10am. So I show up at 9:34am for my appointment and of course, lights are off, closed sign on the door, and NO ONE is there. I figured it’s because they don’t open till 10am so I waited at reunion bakery next door for them to open up only to receive a notification while I was waiting that my appointment has been cancelled because I didn’t show up. I quickly walk over to the barbershop to find the lights on, open sign on the door and Vanessa hiding in the back of the place. I told her I had an appointment and Vanessa insisted I was a no call no show and wouldn’t refund my money. I told her I couldn’t access the building because it was closed and she lied and said the place was open at 9:25am. Barber X and Vanessa’s customer service is awful.

Fantastic experience: I have been getting my haircut from Vanessa for over a year now. She has done a fantastic job every time, I am always extremely pleased with my haircut. She cut my hair before my wedding and I couldn't be happier she did. She is also very easy to chat with. Every time I got o BarberX I leave satisfied. 10 stars.

Positive experience: Be careful about the late policy. They will charge you. I have gone there for a year and a half and had a work thing come up on short notice and was running a late. I guess there is no benefit to being loyal. Great barbershop and good people. Still my favorite.

Negative experience: I came in with fairly long hair around shoulder length and asked for a trim but nothing too short. My hair was brought to my neckline in the back and left long in the front. I look like Will Byers from season 1 of stranger things. Worst haircut I’ve ever received. I’ve never left a review for anything before but you could get a better haircut by sticking your head in a blender. To top it all off, I paid $50 to look so bad I won’t leave the house without a hat. I’ve been before when I had shorter hair and never had issues but I’m in genuine disbelief with how bad I look after my haircut with Lauren today.
