Negative experience: Customer service was okay, but the website said that my haircut should be about an hour long and would include the haircut with all the perks and a full beard sculpting. The guy did do this, but he took so long doing it that by the time he was done with cutting my hair and sculpting my goatee, they were trying to close up so it seemed like they did not have enough time to do all the extra stuff, so I had to leave real quick and shower at home. I understand that they were trying to close up, but they should not have allowed me to schedule an hour-long appointment at 6:00 p.m. if the barber that they provided me was not able to fit everything in an hour because it feels weird paying $80 (after taxes and tip) for a haircut that doesn't even include everything. I wanted to get the quick hair wash and the neck trim and whatever else I paid for and then go straight to Keva Juice, but I could tell me they just wanted me out of there since they were trying to close, so I had to leave real quick and go shower at home, and then Keva Juice was closed by the time I got done showering. Honestly, not that big of a deal considering all the actual problems that people have out in the world, but when you're paying $80 for a haircut and show up a few minutes early, you expect to have a decent experience and not feel rushed. I guess I have to either schedule my appointments first thing in the morning or just go to a different place entirely now that Felicity does not work there.

Fantastic experience: The staff is friendly and professional. The stylists/barbers do excellent work. The atmosphere is super cool. They offer complimentary beer, coffee, and water. The vibe is really chill.

Negative experience: I've took my son here twice first time was good this last time yesterday my husband took my son to get a high top fade whoever cut his hair gave him a medium fade cut his hair super short which we didn't want kept going asking to go higher on the fade she just kept saying she wasn't finished and when she was done the fade was still below the middle of his head

Sariah knows everything there is to know about beard care and they do a military discount. Free beer/wine/coffee/hot chocolate/bottled water while you wait.

From the moment I sat down, it was clear she takes pride in her work—super detail-oriented and incredibly thorough. She didn’t rush a single step and made sure everything was shaped and blended just right. The beard line-up? Spot on. The haircut? Clean and exactly what I asked for. You can tell she genuinely cares about getting it right, and it shows in the final result. I scheduled an appointment online and once I got to the shop everything was ready to go and I was given a complimentary coffee and brought to the chair! From there I was able to explain exactly what I was looking for in a haircut and got exactly that! It was quick, simple, and easy & the hot towel at the end was a great touch! Super friendly staff all around the shop and a very welcoming environment. Great shop!

Fantastic experience: Today was my first time at this salon and I have to say I’m so impressed with their service. I was in a bind and needed a haircut for a wedding next weekend and this was my only day off. My normal hair lady blew me off when I had a scheduled appointment. This salon was able to get me in within 30 minutes after I called to see if they had availability. When I arrived I was offered a drink. I sat down to wait and was called within a minute. Marie was the lady who cut my hair and she did an amazing job on my curly hair. She was friendly and attentive. She was conservative with how much she was cutting off because I have long hair. The service from all the ladies was great and as long as Marie is there and can cut my hair, I will definitely be back. Thank you so much!!!

Fantastic experience: I loved this salon! Avery is amazing as is Milo!! I’d recommend them over and over. I started going to this shop for Felicia, she was quick, always professional and very talented! She knew exactly how I preferred my undercut and I have to say I was SO sad when she wasn’t there anymore. Thankfully, I was able to find her at Cookie Cutters near Super Target. I have to admit I much prefer the beer or wine to a cookie, sticker, and balloons- but here we are!

Fantastic experience: Got my haircut here, was way overdue (think John Lennon length maybe longer) and they are extremely accommodating for a walk in. The free drinks, neck shave, attentiveness were beyond stellar. Felicia was the one who cut my hair and honestly I don’t think I could ever go to another salon/barber shop because of her. It was a wonderful experience and highly recommend. Most places may be on the cheaper side but everything that’s included here you get more than what you paid for. Negative experience: Worst haircut ‍♀️ ever !!! How can someone look at a hair cut and think it was a good cut just baffles me !!! The women can’t even call her a hairstylist butcher my hair and still charge me over $40 dollars!!! This ended up costing me more money since I had to go to another place to fix her mistake the same day!!!! Would not recommend!!!!

Fantastic experience: Felicia was amazing with our two year old, we came early and she didn’t make us wait, was super patient, even putting on paw patrol on for my kid on her phone. She made sure to ask both me and my kids dad if we liked what she was doing and what we wanted done. Also she let me sit in the chair while holding my son because it was his second hair cut ever, I will be coming back. Super skilled with clippers and scissors. I might just go back myself next week to get a haircut myself !!!!

Fantastic experience: We are in town visiting and my 11 year old has needed a hair cut for months. Not thinking we would be able to get him one since it was a Sunday but decided to give it a try. Did a google search and it pulled up this barbershop first. Called and they were able to get us an appointment. We went in and waited a couple minutes at most and then we're greeted by Felicia. She was super AMAZING!!! She was fast, very informative and understanding. Next time we are in town we will be making an appointment with Felicia. I have a rare Epilepsy condition and some people are not comfortable having me in their chair but not this place my stylist Felicia was friendly and didn't treat me any differently and I genuinely felt that. Fantastic experience: My 12 years old son has wanted a specific hair cut for over a year now, but everywhere I took him just couldn’t seem to get it right. Grr Grateful I decided to try Locals, because Avery understood the assignment!! Not only did she do a fantastic job giving him the cut he was hoping for, she was also super sweet and held a great conversation with him. Also, the lady at the front greeted us with a smile and got us checked in quickly. Highly recommend!!

Negative experience: Use to be good. Got 3 haircuts in the last 5 months and I’ve been pretty sad at the end of each. Won’t be back simply because they don’t care at the end. Plus their price for a haircut doesn’t match up to the quality of work preformed. **not worth the 1 free beer.

Fantastic experience: Yoo so I had a busy day preparing for the upcoming wedding and I thought I could get a fire cut at Art of Fadez real quick. Bad news fully booked on all locations. It was 3pm and I was low getting stressed. Looked up the this barbershop. Walked in and got anxious when they said I would have to wait for an hour. I’ll take an hour of no cut. First they offered beer. Fire. Next I waited for only 30 minutes instead of an hour. Also fire. The Barber, Felicia, took care of me in the most professional and understanding way. The experience was awesome and my cut definitely worth it. I’ll definitely pass this to others and they will see me again. Thanks Felicia

Negative experience: Showed stylist pictures of how my son and I each wanted our haircut. She mainly used clippers instead of scissors as we wanted long hair to style. Cut way too much off and wasn't close to what we wanted. Hair is not cut evenly. Stylist was rushing through to get another customer for in. Not going back again.

Fantastic experience: I'm a repeat, but infrequent, customer to Locals. From my experience, I believe they hire great talent and if you work with the same stylist consecutively the results will be very good. That said, from my perspective, they do seem to have some trouble with employee retention. Last time I came in for a haircut I worked with Jenna, who was new, but amazing. She was very personable, communicative, and taught me how to take care of my hair which I appreciated very much.

Fantastic experience: Walked in on a Monday afternoon. Waited 15 minutes and got the best haircut of my life from Shannon. I had shoulder length hair and left with a short hairstyle that was expertly cut with precision. I definitely will be back. Thanks Shannon

Negative experience: I go here all the time and the barbers are generally good, but I asked for a low taper and got the back of my head buzzed to about a 2. Also at the beginning of my haircut she was trying to convince me that I was another customer she had just cause we are Asian. Would not recommend Felicia.

Negative experience: 0 stars bc I didn’t even get to get my hair done!!!!! Rude lady pushed my appt back 15 min because “they were running late.”I showed up 10 min late after texting her I was next door paying my check after grabbing a quick bite to eat and would be right over. Walked in and they turned me away. !!! With no apology or explanation: I tell her I drove all the way from crestone for this appointment , and she just looks at me like I’m dumb. I told her I would tip her extra for her time and again she just stared at me like I’m dumb, 0/10 worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life!!!! I ask to talk to the manager and the girl doing a cut walks over to give the number to the admin and is snickering and laughing - she doesn’t apologize doesn’t say anything or even look at me. I try to explain my case to which she has excuses “well you have thick hair and it takes her (the stylist I was scheduled with) a long time to cut hair” NOT MY PROB, hire better stylists then!!!!!! I call the manager and he tells me it’s their policy not to turn anyone away before closing. Which I was in there way before closing and had a scheduled appt which the biz itself pushed back not me. To which I replied that’s why I don’t live in the city because these girls were rude disrespectful and had NO Manners. 0/10 would never recommend stepping foot in here !!! There’s better options than dealing with whack attitudes ! Glad she didn’t touch my hair anyway with her negative energy!!!

Fantastic experience: Second time going to this location and Felicia knows what she is doing. It's clean, and well run. The atmosphere is good. The music isn't too loud and everyone seems friendly.

Negative experience: My husband went twice. Both times, he didn’t get what he asked for. The second time he went, the stylist cut it way shorter than he asked for, but left the top long, essentially giving him an uneven and choppy ‘Karen cut’. He spent a long time growing his hair out and now will have to go get it cut again somewhere else and spend another year growing it back out to the length he wants. Would not recommend for men who have medium to long hair.

Fantastic experience: Huge shout out to Lisa! I am visually impaired and have social anxiety. I was able to relax as soon as I got in the door due to the welcoming environment, staff is properly trained on how to assist the blind, and I absolutely adore my hair cut. It was easy to make sure we were communicating clearly with each other on what I wanted done and I got better than what I wanted and an even better price than I personally was expecting. She trimmed up my hair cut but also neatened up the rest of my baby hairs and it really does look great! I will be returning soon l, very soon to get my split ends done after my next round of hair dye. Extremely happy to find a place im comfortable with that I can easily afford to go to. I also got a punch card and that’s when you know a place is operating well, I love punch cards they are a wonderful thing. Lisa feel free to use these pictures in your portfolio, I look awesome.

Negative experience: I've been a Locals customer since 2017, but I've almost exclusively had negative experiences over the past 2 years. Consistently, my girlfriend or I will book for a specific stylist online, only to arrive and find out we've been swapped to a different stylist without our consent. Not because the stylist we booked is sick or out, the person we booked will be right there working on somebody else. The most recent experience we had, my girlfriend booked for a specific stylist at 6:30 PM for a short cut, which takes 30 minutes. We arrived and found out we had been swapped to a different stylist, and at 6:45, NOT enough time for a short cut because the shop closes at 7PM. The stylist still rushed her through in 15 minutes, gave her a very rough cut that damaged the hair on the back of her head, and didn't give her the style she asked for despite both of us describing it multiple times. No offer was made to stay a little late to compensate for the system messing up the booking time, nor was any effort made to still give her the cut she asked for. And they still charged her $45 for this "service." I had an appointment booked for the next day, just a simple buzz on the sides and back of my head to maintain my "viking" style, and my stylist buzzed some of the hair on the top of my head that I've been growing for 18 months. She said she was just straightening out the line, but the line has been fine this whole time, and she did not ask me if I was ok with losing any of that hair, which I would have said no. If we wanted an experience this poor, we would go to Supercuts. It would be the same quality of cut, and for a quarter the price. Honestly, it's at the point where it's just unacceptable service, and we'll be going elsewhere from now on. It's no wonder so many stylists have left the shop in the past 2 years, it's clear that the shop isn't running well at all anymore.

Fantastic experience: Shiloh was awesome. She looked over the pictures of previous haircuts as I am now and did the cut in record time. Also got a beard trimmed and she double checked the work and made sure everything was looking right I just moved here and I've been looking for a regular barbershop. Glad to say my search is over. Oh, forgot to mention, it's one of the best prices around.

Negative experience: Waiting time way too long even after booking an appointment. I booked an appointment for 12:15, showed up before 12:10 and waited for half an hour before leaving at 12:45. At around 12:25 someone came in for a 12:30 appointment, they got him in before 5 minutes passed. I even chose the option “any barber” thinking that would make the appointment simpler, no they just prioritize people who booked a specific barber and it seems like they leave the customers who choose “any barber” to one specific barber. The haircuts are okay but other than that it’s not really worth it.

Negative experience: I walked in at a quarter to 2 and made an appointment for 2:15. Still sitting here waiting at 2:45. 2 employees on their phone, one walked out to go get food (presumably break, okay fine) and one cutting a head. The two on their phones disappeared into the back. Nobody acknowledged me for my appointment at all to the point where I walked out. This isn’t the first time this has happened to me here. Won’t be coming back. Used to really love coming here.

Fantastic experience: Felicia cut my hair today. She has 19 years of experience. I have very finicky hair. It's ultra fine, naturally curly, and difficult to blow dry into a style. I requested an A-frame, and she did an excellent job blending the back to the sides. No dog ears!

Positive experience: UPDATE: I’ve given Locals another chance since COVID many barbers have gone down hill, I was happy with the result. Original complaint: My wife scheduled an appointment a week ago to get her hair cut and curled for a wedding and these unprofessional clowns canceled the morning of the wedding and even after my wife stressed she was in a wedding party they just said oh sorry! DO NOT USE ESPECIALLY IF YOU NEED IT DONE FOR ANY OCCASION!! This is not the first time I’ve had an issue with this business either last time I used this business I sat waiting for over 45 minutes past my appointment with no body cutting hair and everyone BSing at the counter. I had to walk out because I had other appointments that I refuse to miss or be late for due to this businesses unprofessional ways! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Fantastic experience: I recently relocated from Denver to the springs, and I was in need of a new barber. I read positive reviews about Felicia's work and set an appointment. The receptionist (I failed to get her name) was extremely helpful and welcoming, both on the phone, and in person. The cut included a beverage (coffee or beer) and the coffee was delightful. Felicia is an excellent barber and warm conversationalist! I felt welcome in her chair, and she executed precisely what I requested with the cut. The hot towel and straight razor neckline treatment were also welcome additions to the experience. If you're new in town or are just looking for a new spot/barber, give Locals some business!

Negative experience: Went in for a beard trim and head shave, they did not trim my beard at all and just barely touched up the edges. Got my head shaved person doing it did a very uneven shave and missed a number of spots. Seemed like they just wanted me gone. Would not recommend for anyone wanting a professional shave not worth the time or cost. Also never received the supposedly included drink. Overall bad service, bad cut, high price and false advertising.

Fantastic experience: Felicia is the best!! Gotten my haircut from her a few times and recommend her to everyone. Super kind and genuine person. Great atmosphere and definitely worth the extra couple dollars...especially if you're currently going to a sport clips/great clips. 5 star experience.

Fantastic experience: Reviewing for my husband, first time he asked me to review a barbershop/salon. My husband visited Locals as a walk in. The salon vibe was pleasantly unexpected with graffiti art and a bar like area. The stylist was Felicia. He was offered a drink: pour over coffee, wine, or beer. What?? That’s a fun bonus! He had coffee and said it was darn good. His cut is basically a buzz cut and Felicia did a great job. He said she was friendly, professional, and delivered on the cut he requested. A great cut and a free drink for the same cost as going to other well known barber/salon chains? He will be back.

Fantastic experience: As soon as I walked in, I was warmly welcomed and made to feel comfortable. Falisha took the time to listen to what I wanted, asked questions, and provided recommendations based on my hair type and lifestyle. Her attention to detail was impressive, and I could tell that she was genuinely invested in making sure I left with the look I desired. Throughout the appointment, Falisha made sure to explain each step of the process, and she was always checking in to make sure I was comfortable and satisfied. I appreciated her professionalism, expertise, and overall friendly demeanor. When my hair was finished, I was happy with the results. My hair looked and felt amazing. She had given me the perfect cut and color, and I left the salon feeling confident and refreshed. Overall, I cannot recommend Locals enough. From the welcoming environment to the exceptional service, everything about my experience was top-notch. I look forward to returning soon for my next appointment.

Fantastic experience: I made a huge step and cut 10" of my hair. Jenna was amazing she gave me confidence in a new look. She was very personable and great to talk to. The receptionist is also very personable and great to chat with and she makes a mean coffee see you all soon for color!!!

Fantastic experience: Felicia is one of the best stylists I've been to! I've had so many stylists mess my hair up can't do a straight line on a beard but she definitely can and does every time she's fun to talk to and probably needs a raise lol best barber in the springs!!

Negative experience: I scheduled a cut and color for 4pm about 3 weeks in advance. I made it clear that my only free day was 12/14 as I needed a babysitter to get this done. I was assured I gave enough notice that they would be able to accommodate that. I told the guy to please let me know if it wouldnt work. Today they call me and ask to move my 4pm appointment to 2:45 which was annoying but my babysitter was available so not the worst. However I get there and they say they cant color my hair. “We’ll have to do it tomorrow”, she said. I cant believe they made me rearrange my day for nothing. I just left. Didnt want to give them my money.

Fantastic experience: Tannis is amazing. She cuts everyone in my families hair from my dad to my wife to me. Everyone there is super friendly, always great music and a cold beer to relax after a long day. Best place in town in my opinion.

Fantastic experience: This spot is my JAM! Samantha is my stylist and is always on point. She knows hair and knows what to ask. Sam also cuts my husbands hair and he has never been more impressed. Highly recommended to ask for Samantha!

Positive experience: So today I had a dye job and I had also asked for a razor fade on my undercut as I usually get. What I got was a buzzed undercut brought up much higher than it had previously sat on my head. I’m upset because I didn’t have a lot of hair on the sides and my undercut was cut so I could still do double braids and pig tail hairstyles. My hair now has a very similar look to a Mohawk or “long on top” male style. Which is upsetting because it’s unflattering on my skull and I now have to wear my hair down to look feminine (when typically I wear my hair up) Just feeling really insecure trying to figure out how to fix my hair now. I included pictures of how my undercut before for reference to how drastic the hair line difference is. The partial highlight i got looks beautiful tho.

Positive experience: I got a tasty Goat Patch beer with my cut. Felicia was good to me and gave me a nice, tight, cut. It was a pretty great experience overall. I would recommend stopping by. $40 gets ya a men’s cut, neck shave, hot towel, shampoo, and the beer.

Fantastic experience: Greeted by friendly and proffessional staff as soon as I came through the door. Set me up with a beverage of my choice and served my sons (9 & 6 years old) some hot chocolate while we waited. Hairstylist (Felicia) not only provided excellent customer service, but gave me one of the best lineups and fades. This was followed by a shampoo and then a hot towel & shave. Really felt pampered, first class all the way!

Fantastic experience: Sam always does a great job! I tend to just go with any available appt with anybody, because I am always so pleased with the results regardless of who cuts my hair. Love the environment, love the beer, love the people! Will always come back.
