Fantastic experience: States coming here recently. It’s a great spot. Was looking for a guys salon that was a step up an average barber shop but not pretentious like some places in nyc. It’s worked out great. Met Jay and he’s been awesome. Took pictures after the first cut so we had a baseline. Good haircut, beard trim, good atmosphere, this is my new spot.

Fantastic experience: This was my second time there first time was a few years ago. Jay was my barber the second time and I will definitely be back. He gave me one of the best and fastest haircuts I’ve had, was super polite and friendly and overall made it a good experience. Prices aren’t outrageous either compared to some places in the area.

Negative experience: Jay is the absolute worst barber I have ever come across. He dismisses what you want and cuts your hair how he prefers. He cut my hair extremely short when I clearly told him what length I wanted. When I questioned him, his response was “it will grow again”. He was also muttering something in a foreign language which sounded like curse words to me. Stay away from this man. Surprised at seeing the Google Reviews for him; they are likely fake so be careful.

Negative experience: Do not go to this place!! I have gotten my haircut 3 times here by the same guy. He always smells like cigs, talks about his ex wives incessantly and gives terrible haircuts. I have always asked for a 1 fade and this time he decided to shave half my head and tried to tell me new styles are good.

Fantastic experience: Very nice place. Very upscale for a reasonable price and the atmosphere an ambience is nice. Most of the barbers are highly trained and Rafael is the best. This man is as precise as a laser and always take care of his regular and or new customers. Would always recommend going to him or if he’s not available then Jay is the next best. I’ve been going here for two years now pretty much every week for a deluxe beard trim, or for haircuts.

Positive experience: I usually get my haircuts from Jay via appointment. I had a 10am appointment this past Saturday, I got there 10 mins early and even skipped my breakfast so I wouldn't be late. Jay was a no-show and I never received notice that he could not make it. I'm very disappointed in the lack of communication. Fortunately, Juan took care of me. Juan was very professional and gave me a nice cut.

Negative experience: This place is a joke. I'm sure there are good barbers here. However, there are also clueless ones who don't know what a trim is. I came in for a trim. Walked out with a military haircut. Barber said trim can mean to cut really short. Mind blowing.

Negative experience: Had a confirmed appointment at 10am with Jay, walked in at 955 and sat down. 1005 - no Jay so I asked one of the other barbers if he was here. They said he hadn’t shown up yet. Fine, I waited a few more minutes and asked if he was planning on showing up - they had no idea. 1015 they told me to add my name to the waitlist which already had 4 other names on it. The reservation system didn’t serve a purpose here at all and I wasn’t going to wait around for an hour to be seen. Unfortunate - I liked this place.

He was very sweet with my son and did the exact cut I was thinking about, even adding the detail of a zigzag to the side. My son was also pleased with the cut. The place was very clean and comfortable to be in.

Fantastic detail to attention, very quick, knows how to make you laugh and feel like a valued customer. No other place to go for haircut, in my honest opinion. I don’t even go in with an idea of what I want because that’s how much I trust Jay and I’ve haven’t had a single bad cut.

Negative experience: First time customer who just got a one of the worst haircuts of my life here. I asked Juan for a low fade with some extra hair left on the sides and just a little trim on the top. At first, he didn't give me a fade at all and just gave me a lazy 2 on the sides. Then when I asked him to actually fade the sides of my hair, he buzzed my sides to a 1 and then chopped most of my hair from the top. It looked so bad that I didn't want to go outside for a week. And to make matters worse, they're really expensive too. I wish I checked the reviews on Yelp before I came because it seems like bad haircuts are a recurring theme here. Don't make the same mistake I did. Avoid this place at all costs.

Negative experience: Had a very bad experience today at V's barbershop JC, found this place little biased and not at all organized, after wasting my 1+ hour for my turn, I realize they are prioritizing customers speaking certain language. I am definitely not going there again and will not recommend this place if you are looking for professionalism and care for your time.

Negative experience: High price, low quality. They got me in and out in literally less than 15 minutes. They just want butts in chairs and don't care if they gave you a good haircut or not.

Negative experience: I had an appointment scheduled for 3 PM today, which I had confirmed in advance. When I arrived, no one greeted me or acknowledged my booking. After I mentioned my appointment, someone showed me on their screen that it was confirmed and assured me someone would assist me shortly. However, no one followed up after that. I waited for 15 minutes, but by 3:15, it was clear that my time was not being respected. Feeling ignored and frustrated, I decided to leave. It’s disappointing to see such a lack of organization and customer care. If appointments aren’t going to be honored, it defeats the purpose of scheduling one. I won’t be returning and hope they address these issues in the future.

Negative experience: Not a professional unit. I booked an appointment for 11 with Rafael and reached at 11.03. He had taken another walk in guy in my place and acting he didn’t know he had an appointment and requested me to wait for more 30 mins. Waste of time if you book appointment here.

Negative experience: I paid $40 + tip for an 11 minute haircut. Literally. I timed it. They get you in and out as fast as they can. My barber said two sentences to me. Horrible service.

Fantastic experience: First time to V's, and went there because a close friend got the best haircut he has ever had from Trevon at the shop. Me as well. The man spends much time and attention to his craft and is an artist. Clean, friendly, and conveniently located shop. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: $80 for an ok haircut is outrageous. I wouldn’t be mad at the job if it was half the price… but $80? Come on guys. My guy rushed through the entire haircut, it doesn’t look blended at all and is shorter than I wanted. I paid for 45 min and got seen 10 min late, the haircut only took 30 min and paid for 45 min.

Fantastic experience: Been to a few places around JC and V’s is the best. Great vibe, very welcoming and covered in sport gear. The barbers are all solid and make it a place to relax and enjoy some self care. Prices are reasonable, bears trim and haircut is $75 and they get it done quickly and looks great. Parking is never an issue, great spot.

Negative experience: Pathetic job, 80$ haircut and beard done within 20 minutes. Avoid this place at any cost, the barber started off while I was still explaining. No blending, and taper fade looks like a wack job. Those freaks at Super Cuts could do a better job than this. Worst hairstyling experience in NJ so far.

My barber Ralphael is a surgeon when it comes to cutting hair. His attention to detail is supreme. He has a good way of making you feel at home while you are getting your haircut and by the time you realize your done. Fantastic experience: I've been going to V's for the past few years and have never had a bad cut! After getting back home today, I noticed I'd lost the front of a small earring-- I suspect it came off while I was being towel dried. I immediately went back to ask if I could take a quick look and the whole shop ended up helping. We didn't end up finding it, but not for lack of trying!
