Fantastic experience: Brilliant barbershop. Been going here on and off for the last couple of years. My last haircut was with Bruce, I believe his name is, and while it took around an hour, the attention to detail and the way he went about ensuring it was perfect was awesome. He didn't rush it. Perfect barber. I've got a free haircut to collect at some point, I'll ask for Bruce if he isn't busy. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: I did not lile my recent hair cut that i got from one of the man who works there, the lady who works there is the best and the go to she has given me pretty decent trims, but that man with cooked hairline has messed up my trim on god.

Fantastic experience: G'day There, I went in at 2.45, Monday, 18th of August. I came in and asked for a "short "Classic Cut" ". I did not know what to expect. I was not hoping for the best. Up Strolls Mya, asking " What do you want today?" . I replied the above. Mya got to work. Initially we did not talk, which is much appreciated. If it is your first time with a barber, you do not want to get into your lifestory. However, after about ten minutes, I asked a few questions. Mya was an excellent conversationalist. She gave me an excellent Classic Cut, but what stuck out was her attention to detail. She made sure that I had not sticky out bits that would make me look stupid in 10 days after the haircut. Only a few barbers I have been to have paid attention to this detail. I left looking pretty good, it is the best jaircut I have gotten in ages. Great service, excellent reults, Thanks Mya.

Negative experience: With so much competition in the barbershop market this was an unfortunate find. My partner was left unattended and wandered into this establishment for a quick tidy up. He’s a bit thin on the ground in the hair department and isn’t looking for anything to rock the hairdressing world but when we met back up I was sure he’d bough his own set of clippers for the task. I was mortified. We went back and I scanned the place for the bowl that must have been used … asked for it to be fixed and we left somewhat satisfied … well I was prepared to be seen in public with him! Shocking haircut!!!

Le personnel et très agréable, et attentionné il m’on très bien aider rien à dire sur ce lieux, Un plaisir d’ailleurs d’avoir était dans ce salon durant mon séjour en Nouvelle-Zélande

Fantastic experience: First thing,...I didn't go here for a haircut. Actually my friend and I were parking our motorcycles outside the shop. One of us dropped it on its side and the staff at Ladish dropped everything and came running out to help. These people are awesome!!!!! Thanks for being so caring. When I'm back in Dunedin, I'm coming here for a cut!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Used to come to these guys years ago when haircuts were $5-10! For at least the past 10 years I've been rocking short hair and have been able to do it myself, I've recently grew it out and needed more professional help lol and early one morning noticed they were open, I've been going once a month for the past 3 months and will continue to do so, I had a different staff each time and they are all awesome and listen to what I'm trying to do, price wise is almost half of what I paid for a haircut before I came to Ladish and quality is the same if not better.

Negative experience: I was reluctant to write a negative review, since some of the staff are affable and have given me decent enough haircuts for the price, however I've had enough of Selwyn. After having been a regular customer for several years, you might think he would remember my name. Not Selwyn though. I know he's getting long in the tooth, but after the last haircut from him, an uneven rushed job, I grew fed up with being asked for the umpteenth time, "now what do you do for a living?" He doesn't listen properly; doesn't remember my name or what I do, which is not what you want when you're a regular at a barbershop; makes assumptions about who I am without getting to know me; and has rudely interrupted me multiple times during haircuts, while I'm chatting with him, to start conversations with other customers he's obviously more interested in. I dislike his passive-aggressive demeanour and he seems to have more than a little chip on his shoulder about some thing or another. I've been disappointed too many times here to return, so he won't be receiving my custom in future.

Negative experience: Attempted to get a cut for late night opening on a Friday, got a curt response saying they were closing, almost palm in face as I was waved out. Is it so hard to be polite? Wow. Shame, I'll find another.
