Fantastic experience: It's been nearly 6 months since I last got my haircut and I was thinking that it might be the time to just accept the lack of hair that I have and join the buzzcut balding club BUT then I went in and got an excellent cut from Nikora and I'm feeling 10 years younger and my hair is looking amazing. Negative experience: Waited 45 minutes past my scheduled booking time. I understand time can get lost but customers are expected to pay the cost of the haircut if we miss our appointment , but theirs no compensation for the other way around. Haircut was okay but only took 15 minutes for a 25 minute haircut, so felt it was a bit rushed to make up for time.

This is not because the other barbers are not good, they are extremely amazing but merely because Im the kind of person who prefers to just let 1 person cut my hair. William is absolutely amazing, friendly and gives the best cut, the kind of cut that I'm used to back from back home in South Africa. William, keep up the great work buddy. You are appreciated. Negative experience: Come at 5pm, get a booking 6.15pm the same day. At 5.30 he sends me a message suggesting 5.55pm instead and saying he will keep 6.30pm for me if I cannot make it. I was driving and didn't read it until coming there again at 6.15 - OK, I can wait a bit. 6.50pm and he is still not finished at which point I leave. This is extremely unprofessional. If you are too busy just don't give me the same day booking.

Fantastic experience: Really friendly guys. Gave some good advice for my son who had no idea what he wanted, made sure we were happy with each of our cuts. Stand-out service. Shame we can't visit more often but we'll be sure to book each time we're in Dunedin. Great work team!

Fantastic experience: Went down today and had William as my barber as soon as I walked in apolagized for being 10 minutes behind witch anywhere else Ive been has typically been a 20 minutes behind from when my appointment actually as , was the most welcoming barber I’ve ever met and was really good to talk to got along real well with him and had the best cut of my life give the man a raise 100% going back not over priced either you get what you pay for

Negative experience: Really disappointing experience which was a stark contrast to previous visits. The chap was distracted throughout (More interested in chatting to a friend.) and it showed in the results: a messy and uneven cut. Quite Unprofessional and nobody has acknowledged my feedback which just adds further to the disappointment.

Fantastic experience: In Dunedin for the weekend and wanted a tidy up. Didn't catch the guys name who cut my hair but extremely happy with the service I got from him, great chat and a great cut. Would 1000% come back!

Fantastic experience: I have lived in Australia and nz, Fresh prince barbers is by far the best not only in Dunedin but, anywhere I’ve ever had my hair done. As soon as you step into the door, you feel a vibe that is pure and instantly feel relaxed. No cut is rushed like other barber shops and is finished to perfection. My son also has his hair done at fresh prince and the team are so gentle, funny and take away any fear that a young person usually feel straight away. This shop has been running for I would guess almost a decade and is the dominant force in this industry. I have loved being apart of the fresh prince journey.

Negative experience: While I understand that availability might be an issue, my experience with customer service over the phone was less than ideal. After inquiring about booking an appointment, I was told that there was availability at that enquired time, When I was providing my contact details, I got the response "Sorry, don't think you're gonna book tomorrow," and then the call was abruptly ended. I want to be clear that this review is not a reflection of the actual service provided, but rather on the communication. It would have been appreciated if the situation had been handled with more professionalism and clarity.

Fantastic experience: one of the best if not the best barbers in Dunedin. every time i’ve been the Barbers are lovely, also play great music but the best part is the talks unlike most barbers i’ve gone too they don’t even talk or get to know their customers which is why i highly recommend them to anyone of all ages.

Wasn’t 100% sure how to achieve the style we wanted but Layne was really informative and helpful and gave him the perfect cut ☺️ All the guys are super friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is very welcoming and the prices are decent. My son is always super excited to go in.

Fantastic experience: The overall experience of this barbershop is why I’ve continued to visit and would always recommend to others. The staff, the atmosphere, entertainment and the professionalism are all top tier. I spent a long time working with primary and intermediate school children and would never hesitate to tell their parents that this shop was a warm and welcoming choice for their children’s haircuts. Not just a haircut but an experience that will have you coming back again. 11/10

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to say what a wonderful haircut my 9 year old Lucan had yesterday. The barber (sorry I didn’t catch his name) was absolutely amazing with him took the time to chat and make my son feel comfortable , he did an outstanding job. My son is highly ticklish and normally absolutely hates getting his haircut. He came out of the barbers yesterday so happy and love it. So thank you again and we definitely will be back again

Negative experience: Whent back into shop to talk to someone about a haircut that was underpar and was met by the owner . Who was very aggressive and did not want to know about the bad hair cut we had received the day before . Didn't even look at the hair cut . Just started at us and asking what qualifications I had as a barber. Did even want to help fix the hair cut up . Just refunded us ant sent us on our way . Very unprofessional . Worst experience I have ever had in a Barber shop. Will not be recommending to anybody
