Negative experience: Very unimpressed, No greeting or anything when we arrived. only one person doing cuts and six people waiting. Waited for 40 minutes and the same guy was still in the chair. Ended up just leaving.

And those who are parents knows entertaining a 1-year-old is challenging.(Lads on cuba st).star cutz barbershop are professional and cater to all needs not just specific needs. Family orientated is a must for me. These guys have some skills.

Negative experience: Music too loud in the shop. The guy was in a hurry throughout the haircut, at the payment asked to cancel transaction to avoid surcharge and the guy reached over to press ok instead of cancel, probably was in a hurryor not paying attention. Had to fix haircut at home, not great attention to detail.

Fantastic experience: Awesome place. Good vibe with good music playing. Friendly and smiling barbers. Can get busy, so it might be best to book online or go during off peak hours. Love that they do Thursday late nights.

Positive experience: I've had a few hair cuts here. The Filipino guy is excellent. Joseph the Iraqi guy is also very good. The Samoan manager named Star is fast and skilled. They had another Samoan guy who was pretty poor: simple things like making the side burns match - I understand he no longer works there. I also appreciate their late hours.

Negative experience: Average service let a young guy who was barely a trainee I asked him if he was confordant in cutting, replying yes ended up asking a senior barber to finish the haircut then charged $45 not impressed.

Negative experience: This was my favorite barber shop, but I won't return after a recent experience with the Samoan barber. He was so careless while cutting my hair that he injured my ear. To make matters worse, I overheard him use a derogatory term towards another customer. On top of all that, I was charged $45. Very disappointing and unprofessional.

My partner and I have been looking for a good barber for a long time and have struggled to find one! We went into Star Cutz today to try them out and neither of us regret it! I didn’t catch the names of the guys who cut our hair but they both did amazing jobs and the cuts have to be the best cuts we have both ever recieved. They were welcoming, chill, and just overall had an amazing vibe! I get really bad anxiety, especially around things like haircuts, but I was automatically at ease as soon as I sat in the chair! You guys are our new barbers and we will come back indefinitely!!!!

Negative experience: I said to fade my hair and beard the girl didn't. I asked to use the the razor to the the beard on the throat and she use the trimmer. It was an amateur service. I arrived at home and shaved my beard myself. I don't recommend this place.

Fantastic experience: I visited Star Cutz on Sunday and received a very high quality cut. I generally do my own hair (all over zero faded into my beard) due to below average experiences at other NZ barbers, but Star's cut was immaculate. The Bayliss clippers he used were extremely high quality, he gave me a perfect symmetrical fade and an all over even finish with perfect lines. I will definitely be going back.
