Fantastic experience: I recently got my haircut at Downtown Barbers and had a great experience. Mohammad cut my hair and did an excellent job. He paid attention to detail, took his time, and made sure everything was done properly. I was very satisfied with both the haircut and the overall service. The shop itself was very clean and maintained to a high standard, creating a comfortable and welcoming environment. You can tell they take pride in keeping the place looking professional. The owner, Ali, is also a very nice guy who makes customers feel welcome from the moment they walk in. Highly recommend Downtown Barbers if you’re looking for a quality haircut and great customer service, for a great price too!

Fantastic experience: The Syrian young man gave me an amazing haircut. He did a really great job and was better than most barbers I’ve been to, like Golden Scissors and trendy barbers in the mall. This fella is talented and funny, not just quite and wants to get the job done. He took his time and I’m coming back every now and then just to the downtown barbers, especially the Arabic young man.

Highly recommend for kids of all ages as seen in our photos is a 3yr old and 5 yr old they were easy going was able to stand and work with the barber to help keep our kids chill. Our kids picked a style and they were happy as with their new haircut and lollipop. Our kids had a flash azz haircut for their basketball tournament in Rotorua always get heaps of comments. Great experience and once again highly recommend

Negative experience: It was a terrible experience. He cut my hair unevenly, and when I pointed it out, he insisted I was wrong and said everything was the same length. When I got home, I realized the right side of my hair was almost twice as high as the left. It was incredibly disappointing. It felt that he just wanted to finish my haircut in less than 10 minutes.

Staff are friendly, and my children always feel comfortable. I’ve had the same haircut for 6 years, and today when Ali cut my hair I gave him free reign and I couldn’t be more happy with the results 10/10 recommend

You just effortlessly continue the conversation where you left of the last time which is remarkable given the amount of regular clients he has. But That genuine interest is what inspires his high personal standard of care, he gets it and you cant fake that man. Many local barbers can learn from him. It's not just about $$$$.
