Fantastic experience: Great cuts, great convo, great hair advice. This is one if not the best barbershop I have ever been to. I'm someone who has always struggled to find a hair cut and style the fits me but Nils took time to look at my reference photos and give me advice on the types of styles that work with my hair. I am thrilled with how it turned out. I will say the barbershop specializes in masculine cuts so as someone who had long hair and was wanting a medium cut, My hair is shorter than I was originally anticipating but I think that was definitely the right choice and I love the cut I ended up with 10/10

This place has been part of Wellington since the 40's and Nils, Chris, Boaz and the team do it's legacy justice.

Chris took a look suggested "can you just trust me" explained what he thought would work..and he went about it...best haircut I have had! Fantastic experience: This is the place, usually get the beard tune-up from Nils as he is just always on point. Today booked with Boaz for a beard trim, you can tell he loves what he does and has pride in his craft. Gave him some freedom, told him what I wanted and he hit it bang on. If in Wellington don't go anywhere else, you'll waste your money.

This is definitely one of the better places And in Wellington, you can't say that here very easily. But what really hit was the vibe. From the moment I entered, it was go time, no waiting, on point. It wasn’t just a haircut — it felt like catching up with someone who also specializes in their clients' experience They kept the energy high, the convo no awkwardness, silence , and the whole session flew by. Negative experience: Butchered my hair. I explained in detail what I wanted and even brought a photo of exactly the style I would like. I also pointed out the most important parts about my fringe that I wanted to maintain. Beyond that I told them I usually get my hair cut every 3-4 weeks to give an idea of how much to cut. Despite that, the barber cut my hair way shorter than I requested, didn't pay attention to the photo or my requests at all, and cut off months worth of growth. They also ruined the exact part of my hair I asked them to maintain so badly it felt deliberate. This wasn't a style change for me, it's the same cut I've maintained for years with multiple barbers, and should have just been a trim. I absolutely will not go back and wouldn't recommend anyone else go either.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended this Barber Shop a while back and made it my local when I moved to the city centre around 9 months ago. I've been there 5 times, had 4 different barbers and it's been great every time! During my latest cut a man came in needing a hair cut but was having to wait until 6pm due to bookings (it was just gone 5pm). The owner Nils recommended a couple of other places he could go to, the man came back 15 minutes later saying "Actually can you guys cut my hair I'm getting a great vibe from you guys". You get the whole package at this Barber Shop.

Positive experience: Thanks Marcus for the great cut. Really happy with the result. Also, thanks to the shop for accommodating a 15min delay. Whilst I booked a tapered fade service, this cut only took 25mins.. and really is only a classic haircut.. unsure the extra $10 charge needed. I didn't get much of a fade.. The shop was also a little grungy. Prior people's hair in the seat etc.. All in all, happy with the cut. Thanks
