Was a very positive experience he took his time making sure my son was comfortable giving him a lollipop and not using certain items that upset my son like a comb, he also achieved great results making my son look fresh . Fantastic experience: So, I have relatively long curly hair which I have been trying to grow out for some time. I have been to a few barbers in Taranaki since moving here and have generally been disappointed after my cut, this has been a mixture of my own fault, or me not knowing what I have wanted and also inexperience of a barber that I have seen in the past. HOWEVER... Since I have been coming to Arbers I have not had this issue. Whenever I go here to get a haircut, which is usually only twice a year I have never been disappointed. What sets this Barber aside from others is the fact that the "Main Barber" Arber I think his name is, I could be wrong, but anyway, he actively engages in teaching his staff and over seeing how haircuts of others go whilst he manages his own workload, I respect and admire this man's passion and ability for his work. Thank you so much for the effort and care you put into my cut. I can't wait til I come back next time, you have given me more confidence than I had before and I thank you for it.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend the barbershop. Im from Hawke’s Bay for the long labour weekend. I personally asked for my hair/ shave to be done by the owner. He started me off with the apprentice then did his thing after he had finished with the customer in his chair. What impressed me the most is he took his time to do a a fantastic job when people were waiting outside the door. You can tell it’s a community professionally run operation. With lollipops given to kids walking past :). I was stoked with my cut throat shave & haircut. Thank you so much and I will be back again.

Positive experience: 3 stars as I can only assume they are good at cutting hair. I left after waiting an hour in the queue as I would be waiting another half hour before getting in the chair. To the owner, implement a digital queue system instead of having us sit outside. People don't have 2 hours to spare waiting for an then getting a hair cut.

I hit 35 and finally decided to embrace the respectable mundanity of the short back and sides. And it was great! Arber's is a proper barbershop. Everyone is talking about the latest football results, the guys working look dapper and have great chat, and the prices are brilliant in a country where you waddle out of the supermarket every week thanks to the shafting you've just endured. Fantastic experience: I just had the best experience at Arber’s when I took my toddler Rocko in for his first haircut. The barber was so patient and respectful of him. He spoke to him beautifully and allowed him to stay sitting on the waiting area seat rather than expecting him to sit still in the big chair. He moved with him instead. So happy with the cut! My toddler is now tidy with no hair in his eyes but still has his cute lil look about him. And, can I just say, how handsome the barbers all look in their uniforms! My boy has just found his new barbers!
