She then skillfully boosted the top and thoughtfully improved those thinner areas, making a huge difference to the overall look. What really stood out was her communication. Jasmine explained every step before she picked up the scissors, discussed different style options with me, and made sure the final look suited both my hair condition and daily lifestyle. She also gave very constructive and practical advice on how to care for my hair after the cut. This is honestly the first time I’ve met a hairstylist who spent so much focused time on my hair. Every cut felt unhurried and intentional — more like a master carefully creating a masterpiece than a routine haircut. Negative experience: The barber, a friendly Indian gentleman, was polite but unfortunately rushed through my haircut. The result was disappointing and poorly done, and I now need to get it fixed elsewhere. I’d encourage more focus on quality and customer care rather than speed. I would give zero stars if I could, the haircut was done within minutes.

Negative experience: Terrible. Insist on taking cash only even though they advertise taking cards on door and then try and send you to the cash machine that charges. Avoid.

Negative experience: It was empty with just the barber waiting for me when I arrived, but he didn't take his time and was done within 5 minutes - I was just speechless. I asked for a trim, and got some chopping instead. My hair was mindlessly cut down with the scissors, with the sole aim to shorten everything as quickly as possible rather than thinning strategically. The whole time he was even bragging that he knows exactly what I wanted and that he's an amazing barber who had honed his skills in India. Hair cut like that is fine the first few days, but becomes a mess when it gets longer and that's what happened.

Negative experience: It was the worst haircut of my life, the specialist has no skills, does not respond to my wishes. He cuts hair terribly, I don't recommend anyone to come here

Since the first time he cut my hair, he has always been super respectful and has always done exactly what I’ve asked for. Honestly, I haven’t ever had a barber this good. I have also sat in the trainee’s chair a couple of times and I must say, he has really improved, he doesn’t let you leave the chair until he has perfected your haircut. Very respectful lad that has a lot of passion for cutting hair!

Negative experience: It was a very bad experience, as one of the young barbers was really unprofessional in treating me. I was trying to explain to him what type of haircut I wanted, but he didn't listen to it properly. And he completed cutting in less than 10min (though it was not at all busy), cutting my hair very shorter than I wanted, and uneven. I am completely disappointed and will never visit this place again.

Negative experience: It’s almost like they are deaf, I book a scissor cut, I tell them how much to take off, they completely ignore me and do their own thing, might as well have gotten a buzz cut, AVOID IF YOU VALUE YOUR HAIR!!!!!

Negative experience: BE CAREFULL WHAT YOU WISH FOR .. I asked for a very light touch trim and slightly thin the sides and minimal off the length. All seemed normal till the clippers came out - normal for a sideboard an back of neck trim of course but then my prviously collar length hair was attacked by the razor close to my scalp from collar to top. This is the shortest my hair has ever been and is by far worst hairicut I have ever had. My scalp now itches and feels prickly continuously - It will take months to recover.

Negative experience: The haircut was fine, nothing very special, and the barber did not seem to take too much care. Also, after the haircut was complete I was told that their card machine was not working and that I could only pay with cash, for which I did not have any. I was then instructed to use an ATM across the street. A bit ridiculous to not inform a customer before the service that it was not possible to pay with card. Felt a bit deceived. Would not return again.

Fantastic experience: Been to the gentlemen’s barber in Oxford a number of times now and always been warmly welcomed. Not only that but the haircuts have been flawless every time. Miki was the man who’s cut my hair and he’s very friendly and very good at his job. Would definitely recommend!

Negative experience: Unfriendly staff, both of them were talking negatively about a customer that has just left. Just like another review mentioned, they don't really listen to you. They have no patience and rush through.
