I understand things can change sometimes, but I kindly request that the opening hours be updated to avoid confusion for customers. As I made the trip based on the stated timings, I’d really appreciate it if you could consider a goodwill gesture, such as a complimentary or discounted haircut, on my next visit. Thank you for your understanding.

He knows his craft inside out, made me feel at ease straight away, and his warm Glaswegian accent just adds to the charm. One of the best cuts I’ve had in ages. If I wasn’t leaving the city he’d be my regular without question. Can’t recommend him enough.

Fantastic experience: Unreal trim from Director Tom. Came in with long, wavy hair that was a mess, split ends, no shape, beard all over the place. Tom sectioned everything like a pro, cleaned it up without losing too much the length, and gave me a slick back that actually works with my natural wave. Nailed the beard, Straight top line, shaped to my face, no dips, no fuss. First time at a proper men’s salon and I’m honestly blown away. Tom didn’t just cut, he fixed it. Left feeling fresh, sharp, and confident. Will definitely be returning.

Negative experience: Whilst the craftsmanship of the haircut is great, every time it has been cut too short. I’ve given NOTJUST 2 stars, as the actual technical part of cut is great which redeems it slightly, however in the 3 chances I have given it, my hair has been cut much shorter than I had asked for every time, despite showing pictures and also agreeing before the cut how much to take off the fringe. Last time, it took me 3/4 months to regrow my hair out last time to where I actually wanted it, and I deliberated getting a haircut again from the barber. I showed him set pictures, and we agreed to take 1 inch off the front. Fast forward and we’ve taken about 4 inches off and he has slightly changed the style of haircut after showing him the initial picture. I’m once again left with a haircut I’m unsatisfied with, at a much shorter length which will need months to grow out to where I want it. I have my mother’s wedding next week and in my opinion a horrid haircut I’ll now have pretty much immortalised.

Fantastic experience: After 3 months from my last haircut and my mullet growing out of control I had decided it was finally time for a chop. Having not gotten my haircut in Manchester since I moved I was always skeptical of where to go as everyone knows trying to find a new barbers is a real dilemma for men these days lol but after stumbling across NotJust on Instagram I just knew this was the place to goto. I was cut by Rohin who was telling me it was only his second day working there but the lad looked like he was there from day dot. We sat down and talked about how I usually got it cut and styled and the type of hair I had and just other factors that all go into a cut that you wouldn’t usually get from other barbers which is a big plus. We bounced a few ideas off eachother and once we were both on the same page I let the man get to work. Rohin made the whole experience feel like he was cutting my hair since day 1 and I’m looking forward to many more cuts with him in the future and going for new styles and looks down the line, TOP GUY!

Negative experience: Shoddy haircut and beard trim. Was sent email that in the context of my complaint was personally rude and somewhat disturbing. Complaint was responded to after I had calmly booked a return to address this issues. Apparently this time frame was OK (Nath was busy with other stuff) and for the email is done by someone else - however, my experience was disturbing. It cost me time, money and decency to return and allow them an opportunity to at least acknowledge the mistakes - my anxiety was through the roof as having seen the outcome, I had no trust in their capacity to do a good job - however, feedback is a gift. The hair was corrected but I didn't sign up for this experience whey I paid £48 to get a hair and beard trim. Not one I will repeat. FYI - Declan was the barber.
