Fantastic experience: Nice Hair cut

Negative experience: Some barbers are really good some are not. Problem is you cant request a specific one. Or rather you can with online check ins but, the request is often ignored and you are told your only option is the next available barber. Went back again and holy crap was it awful currently looking for somewhere to fix the mess they made of my hair and beard.

Negative experience: Why in the world can you not make an appt in advance. They say you have to make it the day of. Then why are there customers there first thing in the morning sayingvthey have an appt???

Fantastic experience: JR gave me the absolute best Valentine's day gift yesterday. The haircut was beyond beautiful, honestly I'm having a difficult time expressing how much I love it. I highly recommend Tommy Guns and the amazing skills of the lovely JR ♡

Negative experience: Rahul cut my son's hair. I listened to my son tell him that he want a low tapered fade to start at a 2 and blend up. Rahul ended up just buzzing the sides of his head 2 all the way up, no blending. Looks like a haircut I would give. When confronted, he said my son asked for that even though I was there. He then said he was tired and cut alot of hair that day. I was told the manager would be calling me about a free cut. Still waiting for that call. Normally get good hair cuts at this location.

Fantastic experience: Hair

Negative experience: I went to this location earlier today asking for a mid taper with about half of an inch off the top. I showed a picture to my “barber” of how I wanted it the fade and the lengths and even told her about how much I want off the top. She looked at the photo about three times and proceeded to just cut away. Unfortunately, I got nowhere near a fade as well as 2 inches off the top. This I do not tolerate as I clearly showed and told her multiple times and I am truly upset with this result. Do not come here if you want to look nice.

Fantastic experience: I believe experience at a business begins at front door. The receptionist lady was friendly, attentive and honest when I asked her questions regarding the quality of service at this location. She deserves recognition for being customer focused. J.R. was my barber, to be honest…this was the best hair cut and experience ever! It’s important barbers listen to what their clients want, and make professional suggestions if they feel what the client is asking for would not suit their facial structure. J.R. is a personable, highly skilled barber. Over the years, I’ve noticed that the new generation of barbers have abandoned head massaging during a hair wash, and or even suggesting an “up sell” hair wash after a cut, unless the client asks. J.R. delivers an excellent head message, that to be honest, makes the experience relaxing, and enjoyable. Thanks Tommy Gunns Unicity for going “above and beyond”.

Fantastic experience: I have a little boy his name is Tommy as well soo he likes coming here, they always give him what he wants. He's 8 now, the last time he came here he was 7. They always give him a can of pop when he's done soo he loves that. His grandpa took him too one of those training hair places recently on Ellice and they did him dirty.. Never taking him anywhere other than Tommy guns .

Fantastic experience: I like an atmosphere inside store as well as it was easy to check in as when I entered a front lady said that a barber is available right away; she asked my phone number and after that I got a chair right way. Moreover, a barber name was Mohmad had an excellent hair cut skills, he listened my hair cut style patiently and provided some suggestions. I liked his suggestion and my own recommendation too. Apart from, he was professional throughout hair cut session and I am glad he did a fantastic job. I am not sure about the other barbers work there. However, I am most likely to come back to this place in order to have a future hair cut by Mohmad. Thank you mohamad and Tommy gun.

Negative experience: Absolute worst place to go, just horrible! The way they treat people is just ridiculous!

Fantastic experience: I like how patient the stylist that did Dexters Hair was with him. Would definitely like for her to be the one to cut his hair everytime I come in. And would also like her for my youngest son Romeo as well. I just wish I got her name before we left. Would not recommend the guy that did romeos hair. He seemed to get annoyed with him quite a bit and ended up clipping my sons neck twice with the clippers. Maybe he's better off just sticking to doing adult hair. But would not recommend him for young kids. I didn't get his name either. I wish I would have.

Fantastic experience: Alina is an outstanding barber. She was always professional, detail-oriented, and never rushed, which made every visit a great experience. Her care and attention to detail made each haircut relaxing and consistently excellent. After trying many shops, finding Alina was a game-changer, and I was very disappointed to learn she is no longer here. I sincerely hope she is still in the industry and look forward to finding her again.

Negative experience: Do not get a shave from this place unless you want irritated skin for a week and to leave having to wipe blood off your neck and cheeks once you leave. I've used a straight razor many times and had razor shaves at other shops and have never experienced this before. The management called when I mentioned it to them and they said this was normal for shaving. See for yourself and tell me that this is a normal reaction to having a shave because I've never done this to myself before, nevermind a barber.

Negative experience: Don't bother scheduling an appointment. I was expected to wait another 30 to 40 minutes after arriving at my scheduled time.

Negative experience: Booked online and confirmed apt with a call as the system wasn’t working properly. Had to wait for almost 30 mins and ultimately left without getting a haircut or a good reason for the delay.

Fantastic experience: Go see Duke! My boyfriend had his haircut done there by him and he did amazing! Hen held a comfortable conversation and was friendly while getting the haircut done. Thanks Duke!

Negative experience: Disappointed with the service here. Wait was 35 mins when I checked. Hour and 15 mins later still nothing.

Negative experience: Requested a trim, keeping the length that took a year to grow. The stylist cut inches of hair off leaving very short hair. Not impressed. In the future, actually listen to what customers are asking. Will not be going back.

Positive experience: Many thanks to all the hair stylists, nothing ever wrong with my hair or beard cuts. My feedback is a result of respect for people’s time. Doesn’t matter what day of the week I book I’m always waiting beyond my scheduled appointment time, and so I’m left booking earlier appointments. I v/r recommend Tommy Gun’s allocate more time for customers cuts so you don’t have a such a consistent backlog.

Negative experience: I am not their client. I get frustrated my first time. Tried to book a visit. Called them, waited for a long time on the line and then they dropped my call. Never received the call back. A bad service at first place. Not recommend.

There are those who cut hair, and then there are ARTISTS who transform your entire existence through the mystical medium of follicle manipulation. Sam and Duke, my friends, belong firmly in the latter category, perhaps even requiring a new classification entirely: Hair Deities. I walked into their salon with what can only be described as a "pandemic panic mop" – the result of 18 months of at-home trims performed with kitchen scissors after watching questionable YouTube tutorials. My head looked like something that might nest in a rainforest canopy. I half expected small birds to fly out when I removed my hat. Sam greeted me with a look that somehow combined sympathy, horror, and determination. There was no judgment – just the quiet confidence of someone who has seen worse (though I doubt it) and knew exactly how to fix it. Duke circled me like a sculptor examining a particularly challenging block of marble, occasionally nodding and making those thoughtful "hmm" sounds that professionals make when they're already formulating a masterpiece in their minds. What happened next can only be described as a hair symphony in four movements. First came the washing – not your standard "let's get it wet" experience, but a scalp massage so transcendent I briefly forgot my own name. Sam's fingers should be insured by Lloyd's of London. I'm fairly certain I solved three of life's great mysteries during that head massage, but promptly forgot them all in the euphoria. The cutting phase was like watching two ballet dancers perform a perfectly choreographed duet. They moved around me with such precision and grace, trading tools and techniques without a word. Snippets of my unfortunate former hairstyle drifted to the floor like autumn leaves, each one taking away a bad decision from my past. "You have actually fantastic hair texture," Sam mentioned casually, as if informing me I'd won a small lottery I didn't know I'd entered. "We're just liberating it from its prison." The styling portion involved products that smelled like what I imagine the Elysian Fields must smell like – hints of sandalwood, citrus, and something indefinably divine. Duke explained what each product was for in terms so clear that, for the first time in my life, I actually understood how to recreate the style at home. It was like being granted access to arcane knowledge previously reserved for the initiated. And the results? TRANSFORMATIVE. I didn't just look good – I looked like the version of myself that exists in my imagination when I'm feeling particularly confident. The person who always has the perfect comeback, never spills coffee on important documents, and somehow knows exactly when avocados are perfectly ripe. The entire experience was punctuated by their legendary wit. These two don't just cut hair – they serve up entertainment that would give stand-up comedians a run for their money. Sam's dry observations about current trends had me in stitches, while Duke's stories about their celebrity clients (names tactfully omitted, showing their absolute class) were hilarious without ever being mean-spirited. I've been to fancy salons before where the vibe is so pretentious you need a special password and secret handshake just to get your split ends trimmed. Sam and Duke have created the opposite: a space of genuine warmth combined with unparalleled expertise. They're living proof that true masters don't need to intimidate to impress. To sum up: if your hair is in need of salvation, if you want to walk out of a salon feeling like you should have your own slow-motion entrance music, if you need proof that minor miracles still occur daily – book with Sam and Duke. Just be prepared to become hopelessly spoiled for any other hair experience for the rest of your natural life. Five stars seems woefully inadequate. I'd give them all the stars in the Milky Way if I could.

Negative experience: My ex wife just took my 12 year old son here for a haircut 2 days ago.....When I saw him I couldn't believe what I was looking at....I didn't say anything about his hair to my boy because he already has low self esteem, but this is the worst haircut I've ever seen.....I've never posted a Google review before....What are they doing over there?....His haircut was not done by a hair stylist....Its horrible..no joke..horrible.

Negative experience: I made it very clear the kind of haircut I wanted. I was ignored, the barber took off way too much, now it's unfixable. But they still charged full price anyways. Raises serious questions about training and professionalism, and how they justify their prices.

Negative experience: Just got a hair cut today from the shop in unicity, it’s safe to say the stylist didn’t know how to cut black hair. I simply asked for a low tapper fade with the top reasonably low and I even proceeded to show him a reference photo and this individual decided to start by chopping straight down into my hair without even trying to show or ask me the length I would prefer , then proceeded to chop all my hair off leaving me almost bald with and uneven fade on one side. I don’t know if he didn’t know how to cut black hair but this ain’t it. It’s so sad because I kept my hair for almost 7 years and then this happens, I’m not one to leave comments or even care but I feel like I was done very wrong.

Negative experience: I’m a little disappointed at what happened tonight as I’ve been taking my son here for years. I called earlier in the day today, around 3:30pm to secure an appointment time for my son with a specific barber. He will only see one person at this location. We were given 7:15pm as our time slot. We arrived at 7:10pm for our scheduled appointment and I was told ”we tried to call you, he’s going to take someone else before you now”. I was a little surprised and I apologized for missing their attempt to call, but wasn’t offered an apology in return or even an explanation as to why my scheduled appointment time was being given away. We proceeded to wait until 7:55pm to be seen and were not out until after 8:30pm. Not impressed.

Negative experience: Checked in for my kid haircut. Give a 20 min waittime... but waited for more than an 1.5 hours... finally left without the services. This should not happen or they should communicate the wait time correctly.. just wasting the day.

Negative experience: Checked in and was given a 35 min wait time. Showed up in 30 mins and was told to come back in a hour. Showed up 1 hour later and waited another 45 mins. This scenario happens more often than not. Great haircut but a waste of my day.

Positive experience: What’s the point of booking a spot if others push ahead? Wait time on screen said 0-3m for half an hour AFTER the initial 30 minute wait for a first available booking. Whereas people who choose a specific person land up getting in ahead of you. Thile cuts are fine, but this is not the first time and I’m sick of wasting my time waiting for the premium charged. Doubt I’ll be returning.

Positive experience: It can be a bit of a crap shoot on how long you're going to be waiting. But you can make appointments if need be which helps. Staff are generally friendly here which is appreciated. The service, again, is a crap shoot depending on if the barber/hair dresser cuts to your liking. But again, you can book appointment with specific staff. Parking and location are excellent. It's really kinda expensive though. That's my main knock at this place.

They have iPads for the kids to play on while they wait, they get a drink and a snack when they’re done. I have three sons, very different hair types for all of them (thick hair, thin long hair, and curly - unruly hair) And they always look amazing afterwards!

Negative experience: Rude. Told 3 hour wait and I had to call ahead to book once I got there. Funny, since I called earlier and asked for an appointment told they didn't take appointments. What a joke. The owner of this store should hire better people that know how businesses work.

It’s a busy place, but I felt very relaxed. They definitely pay attention to detail. I will definitely return.

Negative experience: Every single time I’ve been here I’ve gotten by far the worst haircuts in my life I can’t believe you guys charge money for this. It’s like you picked guys off the street and told them to cut hair with no experience. I ask for a bit of a trim and he proceeds to mutilate my head. I will never come back to this place and I am warning everyone I know to stay away.

Fantastic experience: I had the honour of getting my haircut from Hassan. He is an experienced, kind professional. Hassan actively listens and checks in with you as you are getting your haircut to ensure you are happy with his work which I respect and appreciate. Hassan comes from a family of hairdressers and his experience shows through his skilled detail oriented work. Hassan gave me my new favourite cut. If you are thinking/wanting to get a style of the modern Men's mullet. He is the barber to put your trust into. He will exceed your expectations. He is artistically skilled and is a kind person to chat with. Thank you Hassan, it was great meeting you. I recommend Hassan to all, he is skilled with long hair, short hair, curly, straight, he has all the knowledge about all the different types of hair, and an eye for what will work and look great on you. Also if you are looking for shaving products, the front desk will hook you up with a great deal when you buy multiple products, overall I am a happy customer, thanks Tommy Guns.

Negative experience: Total hack job on my sons hair. So uneven, one side is buzzed the other side hangs over his ear. Shampoo wasn’t rinsed out, had to comb it out and rewash. Worst experience ever. Very unprofessional. I don’t know who you hire but obviously they don’t all know how to cut hair. Extremely disappointed. Was a regular customer but not anymore. So pissed off!

Fantastic experience: I took my 20 month old son for a kids haircut and the staff were so wonderful! Owen wasn’t a fan of the clippers but other staff jumped in trying to help him feel at ease and brought him snacks. Somehow the lady cutting his hair was able to do an amazing job even though he was wiggling and screaming. We will definitely be back and we’re so grateful for the staff’s patience and professionalism working with someone so young.

Fantastic experience: The lady that cut my hair was very professional. The head massage as my hair was washed really helped me to relax. She was very friendly and conversational throughout and I was made to feel like a guest in the business, not just another number. Hospitality sets businesses apart. In addition, my wife loved how my hair looked. I definitely will be coming back.

Negative experience: Just got robbed here on the chair 5 minutes for back neck trim and trim I freaking mean barely trimmed areas of my hair opted out of the wash and dry at the end as well. Wash changed for full traditional hair cut with wash dry style of 37 plus tax and 10% tip??? That should have been the same as beard trim at best. Well they just lost a customer I couldn’t help but laugh I was so choked. Just gross

Negative experience: This place is the absolute worst! I can’t believe the amateurs that get hired here. I keep giving them a chance thinking that someone else will do my sons hair and every time it’s complete garbage! We’re so upset at the service and the quality.

Negative experience: Hair cut was for 12pm. Wasn’t seen till after 12:30ish, hair cut and beard trim took over an hour. Hair cut was okay, not exactly what was asked. Front receptionist were kinda rude. I stood there to pay for my boyfriend’s hair cut and they completely ignored me and took another gentlemen’s payment that stepped up after me. Not a fan of this experience at all.

Fantastic experience: I only come here for my haircuts. Ever since moving here in 2022 I went here because the first place I tried was overpriced and not very good. Came to Tommy Guns, the wait time is pretty good, especially with the app. Every time I come here (once a month) the haircut is exceptional, the service is 5 stars, prices are fantastic and the staff are ALL amazing. They know how to trim a beard too! Well done my friends. Please keep up the amazing work.

Negative experience: no point in making an appointment here. every time we make an appointment, we end up waiting 30-45 minutes AFTER the appointment time has passed to even get into a chair. Very annoying when you have other things planned for the day and get stuck at Tommy guns for 1.5 - 2 hours.

I just showed her the hair style that i wanted to have. Had a great small talks with her and she's very friendly. She did exactly what i wanted for my hair.
