Fantastic experience: Really good barber shop staff is really good and genuine.As my barber left the city i was just finding a new barber and just one day i was attending my school and i was just looking for barber shop then i looked on web and i got to see this store which was near to my school and when i appeared at the store they greeted me well and as i was set for appointment with barber lily and she was really good in her work she gave me genuine advice how to set my hair up and this was my second time over here i am really happy with the service.

Fantastic experience: Tommy Gun’s Barber in Kingsway Garden Mall. Needed a haircut — hadn’t washed my hair in days and it was getting long and unruly. Stopped in and Cassidy took tremendous care of me. She walked me through the details of what she was going to do, asked all the right questions, and was patient the whole time. I even started to fall asleep in the chair (which I tend to do), and she handled that too. Fast, great experience. Excellent job Cassidy!

Fantastic experience: Went to this location this afternoon with my son and our barber was nothing short of amazing! We had Cassidi- and not only did she listen to all of our requests, she took the time to explain step by step how to achieve what my son was asking for. After the cut, she showed us which products he’d need to achieve the style he wanted, and how to use them. The cut was the best he’s had in years and we will 100% be back to see her in a month or so for a fresh cut :)

Negative experience: I came into Tommy Gun’s on Christmas Eve to ask if someone could quickly put a bit of gel in my kids’ hair so we could take photos with Santa. I was greeted by a staff member named Jennifer, who was immediately rude and unaccommodating. She said they could not style my kids’ hair unless I booked a full appointment and told me to come back. I then asked if I could have a small amount of gel—just enough to tidy my kids’ hair—and was told they “don’t just give gel.” I was told I would need to buy a product, which I did, spending $16.80. Instead of using the gel there, I walked a couple of doors down to Spa Station, where the staff were incredibly friendly and happily helped put gel in my kids’ hair at no issue at all. Even my 9-year-old child commented on how rude the staff at Tommy Gun’s were. When I returned to Tommy Gun’s to return the gel, Jennifer told me they could only offer a gift card. I clearly stated I did not want a gift card and would not return after the way we were treated. Eventually, I believed a refund was processed. Later, after checking my bank statement, I realized I had actually been charged again for $16.80, not refunded. Because of this, I had to drive 45 minutes back to the location to get the issue corrected, where I finally received two refunds of $16.80. I am not sure if this was a mistake or something more serious, but this situation was completely uncalled for and added unnecessary stress during the holidays. Between the rude service, being accused of being rude by another staff member, and the billing issue, this experience was extremely disappointing. I hope the owner or manager sees this and addresses the customer service and transaction handling at this location. Customers should also be cautious when dealing with this store.

Negative experience: Came in once before to get a haircut for a wedding, the lady who did that cut it very well but my most recent time was a nightmare from the onset. The dude who cut my hair randomly buzzed the side of my hair off because he didnt see the picture right. Me and my partner had specifically said only to cut it shorter by 1.5 inches everywhere, so no idea why he essentially took a shovel to my hair and took a chunk out the side. Had other staff come over and assess the damage while trying to suggest hairstyles to mitigate what had happened. The experience just became about trying to correct this guys messup. Was so close to walking out.

Negative experience: Truly a disappointing experience. I stopped by at 6:40PM when the location closes at 7PM. My visit was just to purchase product and leave. When I had arrived at the location, the gate was 90% closed and staff were closing up. I made eye contact with a member’s staff and said hello. I was met with an eye roll and another member of staff sharing that they were closed. I asked kindly when they closed and they said 7PM - it was 6:40PM. Before I was let in I gestured to the product I was wanting to purchase and before I could continue I was rudely cut off by a member of staff and told they only took card payment as the cash had been closed. Due to being in need of the product I reluctantly made my purchase and left. The mall has rules - please be kind and follow them.

Negative experience: Rude barber lady, mean to my son who is 10 yr old.keep shouting at him instead of being soft to kids.no proper haircut given to my other kid made him bald instead of short hair cut. i regret for taking my kids there. never will i take them there..they take free money without proper service.

Negative experience: So disappointed. We asked for this and ended up with a shaved all the way around cut instead of scissor cut. The same lady did my son's hair once and it was also not great. My son says Zen is great but this lady really didn't understand the assignment. When I brought it up to front desk and the barber no one seemed to care about the service/dissatisfaction.

I was nervous because I have very curly hair, but she was sharing experience of cutting curly hair prior to working at Tommy Gun's. She did an excellent job, and I'm very happy with my haircut, as well as having wonderful conversations throughout the cut. I would recommend her to others.

Negative experience: Went in for a very simple side shave. The woman cut my bangs and the back of my hair VERY poorly, my bangs are blunt and crooked and idk why she cut the back at all... she wasn't listening to me much and really didn't put any effort in, I had a pony tail in and asked if she would like me to take it down and she said no... As goes the side shave, she missed alot and she cut off a huge chunk of my side burn fringe and now I have an uneven bald spot on my one side. Was in a hurry to get to an event, so I left without a close look. Was shocked when I got home and looked closer to see how poorly she had done and how she had essentailly ruined my hair by shaving a portion of it off that took over a year to grow. Should have asked for my money back.

Negative experience: I had a great experience here previously with Zin, but unfortunately she no longer works at this location. I went in hoping for another quality haircut, but this visit was quite disappointing. I showed the barber a photo of an undercut (which I had just on my last haircut), but he insisted my hair was too short for it - which didn't make sense. I didn't push it and instead asked for a #2 on the sides, to keep the mullet at the back, and to thin out the top. My hair had some product in it, so it needed to be a bit wet before cutting, but the barber didn't bother. He started brushing dry hair, which really hurt. Most professionals take the time to prep hair properly, but this wasn't the case. The cut itself wasn't precise either - my sideburns ended up uneven, and I had to point out for it to be fixed. When he offered a shampoo at the end, the water was way too hot and he didn't even check with me if the temperature was okay. He also asked if I wanted product in my hair - I said yes - but he nearly applied it while my hair was still wet until I flinched, which finally made him realize he needed to dry it first. He even had to ask his colleague what kind of product to use. Unfortunately, this experience was a letdown from start to finish, and I won't be coming back.

Fantastic experience: I'm honestly so bad with names so I'm sorry I forgot but the guy with the tattoos did an amazing job with my hair, absolutely would recommend this place. I was looking for a new place to get my hair done since I moved nearby and I found my new place.

Fantastic experience: Would absolutely recommend this location to any guy I know - The customer service was excellent, very easy to book myself in for the first time. Did not have to wait even thirty seconds when I showed up before I was already being seated. My barber Cassondra was extremely professional and made conversation at my pace rather than talk my ear off the entire time. Her ability to fade hair and beards is absolutely incredible - Guys with beards or that get a fade cut of any kind should definitely ask for her!

Negative experience: I have walked by this place several times contemplating bringing my son in for a haircut. The first thing I saw when walking by was a barber shaving her own legs. This seems so unprofessional and unhygienic. I thought I would maybe give it another chance, when I passed by that time there was a barber applying deodorant to herself. Gross As I am a regular shopper in this mall I have also noticed such a high turnover in staff…. Makes me question how things are run in this establishment

I’ve been here 4 Times in the last couple months and I’m always surprised by the kind and courteous staff and the level of professionalism and expertise of the barbers. Or should I say 1 specific barber Anil (I hope I’m spelling this right) i don’t usually have to wait but when he’s unavailable I wait. Negative experience: Went to get a fade asked the stylist not to touch the top of my head. During the haircut it seemed the stylist was in a big rush and it felt like the top of my head got clipped. No mention was made of it. After leaving I checked and notice a big chunk of my hair on top was cut. I give this place a lot of chances but I always seem to end up with stylists who don't seem to take pride in there work.

Negative experience: I received a haircut well below the price value. The guy was polite, but was distracted big time (by owners or managers). His eyes were everywhere but the task at hand. Fantastic experience: Came in today for a cut and Carlo nailed it. This guy is great, he was friendly but you can tell he wasn’t faking it. Definitely the best experience I have had in the last 3 years when getting a cut. Overall the service was 10/10.

Negative experience: There is no appointment sysytem. Have booked in noon still waiting as their precious barber were not ready. Took another one hour for her to ready and they pathetic not at all pros.

I had the same barber for 35yrs… he eventually retired. Never thought I would find anyone like him until I met Carlo at Kingsway Mall. Positive experience: My sister and I went to get a haircut. Had great haircuts, I especially had an amazing experience with my hairdresser. My sister on the other hand didn’t really feel good. Not because she wasn’t happy with her haircut, but because the receptionist and her hairdresser started making bad comments on the hairstyle she’d chosen when they thought she wasn’t listening. Drastic levels of professionalism in the same place.
