Negative experience: I have been going here for almost 3 years however I noticed they have been raising the prices to absurd numbers! Getting a standard haircut without any other services for more than $60 is insane. It's not like they're doing anything revolutionary and paying $60+ plus tax and a tip is unacceptable.

Fantastic experience: Currently live in bc and was in Edmonton over Christmas. I needed a cut before visiting the family. I booked with hus. Usually walking into a new shop can be awkward but he made me feel at home. Great barber and great cut. He was very knowledgeable and was able to give me exactly what I wanted. Negative experience: So, we had a pretty strange experience here. I am willing to accept that perhaps my kids' shoulder-ish length hair counts as a long cut, but given that we never cut it short and only take an inch off, I didn't realize that I'd booked the wrong appointment. Today's appointment was not with our normal barber (who adores my kids and has asked to remain their baber, even when he moved shops). However, our normal baber was sick and as a result we were placed with someone else. I've brought my kids here a few times to see our normal guy and I've always booked the same appointment. Today I brought my kids for the same appointment I have in the past. Both of my kids have longer hair and want it to stay long, so when we go, it's typically just a trim — removing about a 1/2" in length and an additional inch around the back and sides to give the hair texture (I've attached the reference photo I gave the barber for an idea of how long the hair was). Not only did this new barber cut off too much hair, despite me saying multiple times that it must stay long, he also was unable to complete both appointments in the hour we had booked (he started our appointment almost 20 minutes late). Additionally, half way through the appointment he cut himself pretty badly. While he did cover up his injury, he managed to cut the glove in the second half of the appointment and continued running his bloody hand through my kid's hair. On top of all of this, my kid began falling asleep in the chair because it took so much longer than normal (and getting your hair done is relaxing — especially if you are too young to notice that your hair has someone else's blood in it). When I asked about my other appointment he said he was too busy, the next client had arrived, and my first kid had medium length hair (as though the length was the problem and not the fact that he cut it way shorter than we wanted forcing it to take more time than what it should have taken). I said no problem, because THB I didn't really want blood in both kids' hair, paid, and left. But unless you're a mid-twenties guy who has short hair and is looking for a fade, I'd steer clear of compound, unfortunately.

She was attentive, professional, and really took the time to understand what I wanted before starting. Throughout the appointment, she made me feel comfortable and confident in her expertise. Fantastic experience: Amazing skills from Tony I've been to many barbers, but Tony's skill with clippers is on another level. I asked for a skin fade and beard trim, and he absolutely nailed it. I picked Toni as a few of his reviews resonated with what I was wanting. Arrived at Compound Cut Club early for my appointment only to be warmly welcomed by the receptionist. While waiting for my appointment time, I noticed all barbers coming into work and immediately going to each of their fellow barbers to fist pump or embrace one another. I found this strange at first, but quickly realized they have all built strong working relationships and work well as an entire team. This was highly encouraging as it made me feel they care alot about their work, team members and barber shop.
