Fantastic experience: Yo, I've never written a review in my life besides that one time I was dissing a bad teacher back in elementary but I just had to after the experience coming here. For context I haven't cut my hair in over a year in a half after not finding any success with shorter styles. To the point where I just let it all grow out cause I was sick of bad haircuts. In the year leading up to the cut I decided I wanted to get a wolf cut cause it looked really good on Asians. I actually found you guys via AI but you were a hidden gem because I was looking "wolf cut in Edmonton" for hours. I'd love for you guys to post more work on your site so people can find you easier. Now after I found the place, I booked an appointment with Andrina after seeing her work on Facebook. First big green flag was that Barbi reached out to me in advance asking for photos and references. What kind of hair salon does that?? In all my years getting haircuts I ain't ever had anyone take a client this seriously. Seriously might not be the right word but considerate, I'm assuming after I sent the video (I suggest you send a video that shows a 360 of your hair) Andrina took a look and made some notes. It was cause of this I was less nervous going into it since the stakes were pretty high after not cutting for so long. Overall, cut turned out amazing. It was a little different then I imagined to the reference but it made sense since the dude had a different face then me, so Andrina made it fit my face which was crazy. Everyone at the salon is super nice and Andrina has an amazing and passionate character for what she does. She's very considerate about hair health as well if you worry about that, thank you very much! It's been about a month and a half after the cut and it's still holding up really good, you need some styling products and you're ready to go, it's quite low maintenance. Immensely pleased with the outcome and I stopped hating the way I looked. Self confidence in real life was a huge issue for me before the cut but after this I'm doing way better! More compliments and admirers. W place, w experience, if this place was a food it'd be a wagyu steak, yummy. And sorry for procrastinating on the review, should've wrote this a while ago. Will def come again. I should apologize for the casual language but I think it's valuable to hear this tone of voice for people reading this!

Negative experience: I booked an appointment for a cut and colour and specifically asked for an higher level stylist because I wanted to make sure my hair came out perfect. The morning of my appointment I received a text message saying the stylist I booked was out sick. They were able to fit me in at the same time with a different stylist. My first question was whether it was the same level of stylist. They dodged the question and said “ It’s going to be 2 different stylists, team effort today babe. I’m sorry for the last minute change up but we will make sure it’s perfect! The owner, Christina is here too! ” Unfortunately, the stylist cut significantly more hair than I had approved. I mentioned multiple times that I need long hair, I’ve been growing my hair out, I love my long hair. I did say she could take off the dead, to which the stylist asked if I even use hot tools because my hair was so healthy. A few minutes later and it looks to be around six inches that she took off, and the cut is also lopsided. There were also a few other issues that left me really upset. During the blow dry, my scalp was burned, and while drying, another staff member put a large knot in my hair. The stylist didn’t follow the direction we discussed, and during the dry cut she began cutting before even brushing and properly parting my hair. I had to stop her and ask her to part it properly. I am in a destination wedding next week and leave on Tuesday so will not have time to get this fixed. This whole experience has been extremely distressing. To be honest, I am devastated by the outcome and cried for the first time ever after a hair appointment once I got in the car. I felt it was important to be transparent about my experience.

I've been coming here for several years, and while I usually have a regular barber, if I have to see anyone else, they have never disappointed. The staff at the front are always incredibly welcoming and helpful and willing to help with any appointment changes or questions you may have. All in all, just a great place with impeccable vibes where you will always get a great haircut and/or beard trim!

Fantastic experience: I went in with a picture of what I wanted. Adrina was super awesome and said she wanted to do a strip test first because she did not want my hair to break off. Unfortunately, my hair would have broke off with what I had asked for I have to say she is the first person I have ever seen that cared about the structure of my hair. I really appreciate her! Adrina also did an excellent shag cut for me Go see her if you want someone that will be honest with you and not have you just spend your money to end up with damaged hair!

Fantastic experience: I visited Dollhouse Hair Boutique & BarberBlonde for a trim on December 16th 2025 from Brandon Yaggey. It was a good cut. I had booked the appointment for 5:00pm MT. I had to schedule it for that time due to the fact that I have been serving jury duty for the past 3 months on a case that I can't really discuss too in-depth because jurors cannot publicly comment on cases that they are observing. However, earlier in the day during the hearing, I accidently made eye contact with the defendant and before I knew it, the defendant was jumping over and into the jurors box where I was viciously attacked. The defendant bit me twice on the arm and once on the leg. We were both escorted out of the room but while we were being escorted out the defendant got loose and pushed me down a flight of stairs where I then broke my collarbone. Squirming around in pain, the bailiff informed me my services were no longer needed and to "get the hell out of the court house". Dazed and abused, I managed to pick myself up and exit the Court of Kings Bench. When outside I found myself rather famished so I decided to hail a taxi cab and get a lift to my favourite restaurant in town, Luigi's Famous Steak and Wonton Loft. I usually dine on their famous "ED-WONTON" due to the fact it is stuffed with a nice lamb mince. The service is usually extremely blunt and the steaks way over salted, just how I prefer. I had a good chat with the cabbie on the way over and decided to invite him in to dine with me to which he agreed. My favourite server, Latisha, sat us and I began to go over the menu with the cabbie, who's name escapes me. I decided to avoid the famous "ED-WONTON" and felt it too early in the day for a nice blue rare steak so opted for the full-pan ladyfinger lasagna. I ordered us a pair of waters, no ice. The cabbie declined to eat not because he wasn't hungry but because he smokes and since you can't smoke at Luigi's, he didn't feel comfortable. It was an awkward lunch because we found early on we didn't have much in common so he watched me finish my pan of ladyfinger lasagna in silence. On the final delicious fork-full I began to choke and required assistance. The cabbie immediately started to preform mouth-to-mouth on me which made absolutely no sense since I was choking on food. However, the cabbie actually sucked the piece of ladyfinger lasagna out of my wind pipe and swallowed it down himself. "Now, I could really use a cigarette" he said with a smirk. We both giggled. As did Latisha who was watching us only a couple of feet away. It wasn't a busy day at the restaurant so she was actually watching us from few feet away for the entirety of the meal. I thanked the cabbie for saving my life but also said I was kind of done hanging out with him so I made my way to the washroom and exited through the window, which is how I usually skip out on the bill there. I made my way through the window and landed in the familiar waste disposal bin in the back parking lot, breaking both of my ankles on impact. The broken ankles coupled with a broken collar bone was bad enough, but now I was running a bit of a fever after receiving the bites back in the court house. I passed out. I woke up in a bed in the hospital. The doctor entered the room where he informed me I contracted rabies from the bites and my ankles were completely shattered to which both required major surgery. Sadly, he said my collarbone was so out of sorts that it was not fixable and that I would have to live the rest of my days with it in the condition it was in. "We will have to get you into surgery immediately for those ankles but since you have rabies the surgeon that we will have perform on you will also have rabies so that we don't infect a healthy surgeon" the doctor informed me. "I'm sorry, but I cannot go ahead with that" I proclaimed. "It's 4:00pm MT and I have a hair appointment at 5:00pm MT at Dollhouse Hair Boutique & BarberBlonde.

Fantastic experience: Tyller was awesome! Did a drastic beard reshape and he took lots of opportunities to make sure I was happy with the progress right up to the finishing touches! Final result was some wicked mutton chops, bonus points: wife approved. I'll be back! UPDATED REVIEW DEC 2025: It's still a 5/5 and I've been going to Tyller ever since. I'm going to him until either he moves or I do! Thai is yer guy!

I've had a lot of bad experiences with hairstylists brushing my hair, but Kayla brushed my hair without it hurting once. Kim is knowledgeable, kind, warm, and works FAST. The staff make the ambiance in this place amazing, there is no tension, everybody appears to get along. Barbi, the receptionist, is sweet, bubbly, and the perfect fit for her role - I could tell she loves people and loves what she does. I have since recommended to multiple friends, between my cut yesterday and today, and will continue to do so. They deserve the hype!

Fantastic experience: Tim. Is. Wonderful. I've been going to see him for years. He is an absolute professional. Every time I think he's done he continues to tweak and perfect. He's never in a rush to finish, and is always checking in to make sure it's to my satisfaction. And if I don't know what I want (which is always the case) he sorts it out for me and gives me a great cut. The atmosphere is lively and fun and Barbie is delightful at the front of house. I have nothing but good things to say about this place.

Fantastic experience: We just left our appointment with Mikey and had such an awesome experience! My son has had a lot of iffy haircuts but likes to keep it long. Mikey made sure to ask me what I was hoping for but also made sure he had my son’s input. He talked with him the whole time and took his time completing the cut. My son actually got out of the chair and for the first time ever said that he loved his hair and thought Mikey was “so cool!” So glad we found him!

Why after calling to make an appointment and letting Barbie know, that the appointment is for a full head of foils, why oh Why would you book my appointment with an apprentice that has never done a full head of foils. Not at all impressed. Complete waste of time. If you are looking for a competent stylist, don't look here.

My son has historically dreaded haircuts, but Josh is able to provide him with a cut that he is happy with (modern and grows out well). Fantastic experience: Tyller was awesome. After a hectic morning, and running a little late, Tyller was kind enough to fit us into his schedule. He was kind and chatty, and my 10 year old had a great experience. My son's hair is long and he gets very few haircuts. He is very happy with his haircut and asked if we can come back to Tyller from now on. He especially enjoyed the dog in the salon:) Thanks Tyller! We will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: Had an appt with Andrina! She fixed a bad cut I gave myself at home and gave me ZERO judgement! I requested a quiet appt as I really hate small talk and she made me feel really comfortable about it. I was able to just sit there on my phone and it was AWESOME. When I saw myself in the mirror my jaw dropped. Andrina did such a beautiful job layering my hair. Seriously, she really knows how to cut layers!!! I didn’t lose length and my hair looks so full! How is this possible with layers?? My new curtain bangs are STUNNING. You guys. When I woke up the next day with bedhead…..IT LOOKED SO GOOD? I am so happy she cut my hair. If you’re like me and try to do everything DIY but lack the talent I seriously urge you to make an appt with Andrina. I also want to add that the appt was very affordable (I believe just over $50 for the cut and style). For real. Put the scissors down and make the appt. You won’t be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: Update! Returned recently and Lois is fabulous in every way. What a lovely engaging lady, so easy to chat with and just delightful energy. On top of that, she really got my hair goals and worked with me to get me closer to them while my hair is in transition. I will absolutely be back to see her again. Original review: Marissa was wonderful, not only did she do a great job on my hair she was lovely to chat with. It felt very natural and I really enjoyed just making conversation. I've also gotten many a compliment on my cut. Win win!

Fantastic experience: Kim was a great listener during our consultation and asked the right questions to figure out what I wanted from my hair. The end result was all the volume I’d been hoping for and her colour match was perfect to what she confirmed I was hoping to achieve. Salon environment was relaxed and friendly, cute dog, and it’s clear the staff really care about each other which is important to me in picking a salon. I rebooked to see Kim again in a few months. :)

Fantastic experience: I've never had a colour consult before so I wasn't sure what to expect. Imagine my delight when I received a thorough and vibrant discussion about my colour vision and it was so fantastic! Andrina gave me a solid price range and length of time to execute my vision. Everything quoted was within the price range that I expected. However, what I really appreciated was the honest discussion that there may be unknowns that affect the final price. Such transparency! Finally, I really appreciate that she guided our discussion to the style that would compliment my vision as I hadn't even thought about that! I am so excited for my rainbow hair!!

Listens well and makes sure you get exactly what you are looking for. Great advice for styling and always a pleasure to chat with. The facility is immaculately clean, and everyone is always friendly and inviting. Feels like you're going for an experience and not just a haircut every time.

Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Brandon for 2 years now, every month. He and the staff at Barber Blonde are awesome. I have never received a bad cut from him. I have also seen Mikey while Brandon was away, and he is also excellent.
