His skill with the clippers is incredible, and not only is he friendly and easy to talk to, but he’s also thoughtful and keeps you in the loop throughout the whole process. A real first-class service I’ll 100% be back next time I’m in the city!

Experiência fantástica: Missed getting a haircut before going on holidays so found Hardy’s while in Lisbon. Managed to squeeze me in and it was a really professional cut in a super clean and well presented shop. Slightly hard to find as it’s in an arcade but maps led me straight there. No language barrier, easy to explain what I wanted really happy with the cut.

Experiência fantástica: I set Hardy a virtually impossible challenge, to make me, an Australian man, as handsome as a Portuguese man, and to achieve this feat in only one haircut. There was no quiver of the lip, no nervous twitch or bead of sweat on the brow, he knew exactly what was needed and set about it. During the sitting, Hardy applied a highly focussed professionalism as each strand of hair was dealt with numerous times, eventually down to the nanometre level. With a heady blend of barbering principles and artistry, I was transformed. Whilst not too bad on the eye in Australia, I, with good reason, was highly dubious that I could come even close to Portuguese levels of handsomeness. With due gratitude to Hardy, and at an entirely reasonable cost, I emerged into the Lisbon streetscape. I was unprepared for what happened next. Two trams travelling in opposite directions,ground to a halt in front of me. The usual brisk pace of the passers by slowed to the point of becoming stationary. Their heads turned as one, towards me. A flock of pigeons on a flyby, collided into a nearby wall. A harmonious soundscape of cello and assorted woodwinds permeated the air. Have you ever had the feeling that you've inadvertently become the centre of attention? This was absolutely one of those moments. Of course, it couldn't last for long, and motion eventually returned to the street. The rest of the day, I was greeted with smiles and warm words in Portuguese. They believed that I was Portuguese. I had some barbers, also in different countries, in these years but never experienced such a relaxed shave. A top quality experience and my skin feels so smooth.
